Pennu if you look at it that way, then there is nothing new or different about this show altogether. I have maintained this opinion since day one that MBEIEJ is not a different show in any sense.

- Rich Boy Meets Ordinary Girl
- They hate each other
- Typical nok jhok
- Gradually fall in love
- One of them betrays the other
- He/She realizes the other's importance on losing them
- Wants them back in their lives
- Marriage
- Saas-Bahu arguments
- Devrani-Jethani fights

Doesn't it sound like just another typical Indian Show? To me it does!

The only thing slightly unique about this show was the female lead's characterization but even that seems to have changed into just another Telly Bahu. If just flowers and a ring can make you vulnerable, be it temporarily, what's the difference left between her and other telly characters?
I for one never found anything unique in any of the characters in this show. Not even RK's who is the apparent lead. I've seen a ton of shows with rich bratty spoiled guys as leads. The only thing that varied was that he is a Superstar, but even that's not something new. Just labeling a certain character as "grey" does not make it grey. And sadly most people here do not even know what a grey character actually means and signifies. The CVs were very clever in this matter to use this word for their character because they know that "grey" is the word that sells in the industry these days, and people being the way they are wouldn't even bother looking into it's basic meaning in terms of characterization. And RK's character is all about dialogues. I know most people won't agree with me here, I'm not asking them to either because this is just my opinion and I won't force it on others, but if you take away those one-liners from his character, what more is left to it? Anything "interesting" at all? I don't think so. I find Padmini's character to be more interesting than his.
About Sultan, I find his character quite entertaining, only wish the CVs wouldn't have neglected it to accommodate RK-Madhu's revenge saga. So far there have been stories about Gangsters mostly in Indian movies but very less in Indian shows. Which is why I want Sultan to stay and his character to shine.

but the way we want things is completely opposite the way they r actually shown...Sultan doesnt look connected to the story and looks lk two different shows r running together having same heroine...and when RK- Sultan meet looks lk we r getting special mahasangam episode of two shows ...and cvs have failed big tym wd the characterisation of most of the actors in the show..n thats the basic reason some of them r still missing or may have left the show...and also the equation is not balanced properly wd leads..one character is doing bak bak all d time , other one speaks on special occasions..n third one mostly mute mode.!!

Yes I am seen it a lot.. but A superstar meeting a girl was unique to me... I thought now they will hate and them will fall in love... but i never saw any hero hating the Heroine to that extend that he will hell bend to insult her on public and to ruin her engagement... and trapping her in such a cruel way that she is forced to marry him... So there it was unique again to me... and i was eager to know how is ther love story gonna start...

Nok-jhok.. No show can sustain without some Knok Jhok... so I enjoyed it... but still it was unique since it didn't went for typical Dupatta flying-eyelocks and drip-fall...

Gradually fall in love.. Yes it was much expected... in most of teh show.. its like.. Hero-Heroine may marry each other without liking one another.. but the gradual fall in love will make them stay together and here it again turned to be unique with one of them was taking revenge by marrying another... And yes as a typical show.. I was expecting to see the the redemption and realization of teh Hero.. which not yet shown to me in a convincing manner.. may be they have some unique plan for that tooo...

A little bit of Saas-bahu and Dewrani-jetani fight is ok in every show... but here there wasn't any Saas-Bahu argument...it never lasted for more one or two epis... and Dewrani-jetani fight is for the Hero himself... even there also its making me feel unique...😆

Madhu's character was unique to me.. bcos of the way they showed her past even before her birth... the struggle she faced even to get born in this world... MAdhu was unique bcos she do things which she feel right without even considering how its gonna affect to her family and her loved ones... But for me there is no doubt that RK character was Unique and all new to me... I have never seen any such character in any of the soap so far...

As i said before I never disliked Sultan character but he don't find interesting tooo...
@red.. I have seen gangster stories in soaps... may be not complete Gangster but similar ones.. but never seen anything on Superstar star... (May be one...In Shanti serial which used to come on DD.. Shanti got married to a Filmstar and he was never shown as a superstar... and that serial wasn't a love story or BW story...)

I pointed out the Sultan part only bcos i saw so many were saying... Sulbala will make an epic love more that Rishabala... and was saying there is nothing unique in Rishbala but there is in Sulbala... which i totally disagree... But still i will say i find it unique and thats why i started to watch the show and still sticking to the show...
