Chapter 3 Cold Dry Night - An etched memory

He removed each and every barrier between us, kissing his way down from my face down my throat. "You can leave, close the investigation down but don't mention about my whereabouts to my parents" I stated.

"If you want my lawyer to give a notice, I'll have it sent" I told her knowing very well they wouldn't like more paperwork added to their jobs.

"Its ok. We'll just tell them you're safe and do not wish they find you" Aden informed.

"Do whatever but do not let them know of my whereabouts"

"Well thank you for your time" They stood to their feet.

"You can see yourself out" I turned away from them trying to hold on to my patience.

As I heard the door close I grabbed the vase and threw it across, it hit the wall and smashed into pieces. What did Aden mean by Leads. Is someone behind me? I wondered.

I'd need to do something quick, whoever was behind me I'd have to find them first and when I do, I won't leave the bas***d to see the light of the new day.

I picked up my phone and dialled Liam's number.

"Its me. Do us a favour can you find out if someone's trailing me" I asked him.

"Sure"

"Thanks" I cut the call and turned as I heard footsteps.

"Mommy" I looked at Alysia.

"Stop there baby" I told her as she was near the broken glasses, she instantly stood to her place clutching her teddy tighter. I walked over and took her into my arms and left the room with her.

"What are you doing awake?" I asked her brushing her soft curls behind.

"Alright then" I turned and headed into my room instead, I reached my bed and placed her down. Slipping her into bed I pulled the blanket over her. "Sleep. Mommy's going to shower and join you alright?" I caressed her forehead lightly.

She nodded smiling up at me, pressing a kiss to her cheek I headed towards my wardrobe and took a change of clothes.

I stood in the shower as the water came spraying down, I shuddered as the cold water hit me first then warmed slowly to hot. The only thing running in my mind was who was keeping a watch over me? Or was there anyone at all? I couldn't even run anywhere now that I've got Alysia to think of.

I joined Alysia in bed, I cuddled her closer to me, I looked down at her, she'd grown up so fast I hadn't even realized because I was busy trying to survive for her. I caressed her cheeks with my finger, her soft skin reminded me of the moment she was born, she was so tiny and pink. I smiled as I remembered that was the most blessed and happiest moment of my life. Having her in my arms was the only thing that kept me alive, she was the reason I was living today, had she not been here I would've been dead like my parents thought. I never understood how my parents loved me so much despite all my faults, pranks everything they accepted, after having Alysia I understood how, I was the same I didn't care whether Alysia was at fault or even if she was naughty, I couldn't bring myself to shout at her. She was my angel, my only baby just like I was for my parents. Like my parents could do anything and everything for me, I could do the same for my baby, the only difference was I was doing it now, I was living the life of an escort for our survival.
