Kya se kya hogaya!
This show was so promising when it started. Firstly, it was not a saas-bahu drama, secondly it was set against the backdrop of Bollywood and thirdly, it was about a middle-class girl's journey to superstardom.
Look at where it is now! Okay, so it is a drama at the end of the day. We cannot expect it to get too real! But still! A superstar marries a woman who insults him with the sole intention of destroying her, Now, said girl has decided that she will go one up on the man by teaching him a lesson back. And in the midst of all this, we have a gangster and his kid who craves maternal love. Said gangster conveniently develops a soft spot for the female lead and is now busy giving lessons on how to be a good husband to the male lead!
Why all this rubbish?
I understand RK's character. He is a trigger for Madhu's journey to stardom to begin. He is boorish and rude and arrogant. But I must say I find him entertaining at least. He reminds me of Salman Khan and is probably modelled on him. The brat that everyone can't help liking just a wee bit at least! You can love RK, you can hate RK but you can't be indifferent to him. The only area where the writers are still somewhat on track is with RK's zany one-liners. The man is a riot!
In contrast, Madhu's character is so very badly written. She could have been so much more. A feisty woman with the guts and talent to take on a superstar and beat him on his own turf. Instead, they have turned her into the boring archetypal TV soap female lead! A self-righteous, sanctimonious masterni whose aim in life seems to be reform all and sundry. No offence meant but Madhu is now a crashing bore!
I have a simple question. If Madhu is truly a self-respecting woman who wants to move on in life, why the heck does she have to go back to RK? Leave him to die or whatever and get on with your life! Get on with your acting career and get started on the path to becoming a superstar. How do you even care if RK knows what love means or not? Are you some kind of love guru? Fine, he humiliated you? So call a press conference and expose him to the world! Use your brains and network with his detractors in the industry. Why waste your time on a stupid revenge game?
Get a life, Madhu! Surely, women have better things to do than teach their ex-lovers life lessons! At least, real life women do!
Hoping that this ridiculous love triangle and revenge drama will soon come to an end and the CVs will actually get on with the real story! Unless, Sultan is going to be the financier of Madhubala's film. Are the writers going to explore Bollywood's underworld connections here? Whatever, hope they get on with it! Cause what they are showing now is dull, insipid and boring!
P.S - I am not a fan of any of the show's actors. They are of no consequence to me. My criticism is purely meant for the writers!
