My episode review-
Studio scene-
I found the whole charade very entertaining! The 'Build up, build up, build up' thing was amusing (given it's exactly what is happening on the show) and I couldn't help thinking, how did RK know the tune of 'Hume hai/the deewane'?!?
Did anyone else get the feeling that Bittuji was totally into the story, his expression at RK's 'dishkiyao' was π
I'm glad RK finally dismissed him though.
And sweet Madhu, was the devil sitting on her shoulder when she said 'Mujhe nahi pata'?
She didn't answer like the last time and she didn't even point out that she has already answered the question before, repeatedly. Something in the lines of 'How many times do you want me to say it?' would have been more appropriate than 'I don't know'.
Are we to assume that she is (once again) disgusted by the lengths he is going to or that there is a part of her that wants to see him suffer the anguish of her feigned indecision?
I'm so glad he said, 'Kya hota agar aaj voh goli chal jaathi toh' because she looked frightened for the first time. Once again, RK became our voice is airing the security issue and removing Madhu's blinders that prevent her from seeing Sultan for who he is, a gangster. (I'm sure this is going to go unnoticed in the larger scheme of things again but I'm still glad RK said it)
Her disgust when he said 'Hisab barabar' mirrored my own. It reminded me of my metaphor of imaginary scales that RK meant to balance with his revenge plan.
The rest of his lines were as much of a love confession as RK can manage at this point. He didn't say the all important three words but everything he said sounded synonymous to it, for me.
And I think this has finally made Madhu realize that even if they get back together, this is the real RK and even love struck, this is who he really is. (as opposed to his 'best pati' performance)
I'm reminded of Radhaji's words here, that there is no right or wrong decision for Madhu now and I certainly won't be judging her, no matter what she chooses to do. (Strictly with respect to her relationship with RK; for all other things I'll remain as judgmental as ever!)
Scene two-
The interview was nothing to comment on but I thought he sounded genuinely disappointed in her when she vanished.
And, of all the opportunities to run away, Madhu finally chose this one. I hope it's because of the impact the previous scene had on her.
Madhu-Trishna scene-
What's with women in soaps who ask questions and answer it themselves?
Trishna's questions were so many and so wordy, all Madhu managed to say was that she was forced into going home with RK.
Trishna jumped to conclusions faster than RK even, that Madhu had forgiven RK, blah blah.
I really hope that Madhu's lethargy with words was due to the speed of her thoughts and that she has come up with some strategy to deal with her current situation.
RK in the chawl-
Padmini's reaction was a little hard to decipher. She didn't look concerned about Madhu's whereabouts, the fact that Madhu lied to her about being with RK or even outraged by RK's insinuation that she is with Sultan.
Instead, I saw a momentary gleam of triumph. Did anyone else feel so?
(Perhaps she thought her curse has taken effect and RK is losing his mind with jealousy?)
Precap- I won't say anything except that I flinched on hearing Sultan's 'If Madhu had been my wife...' line and yet acknowledge both the bitter truth in them as well as the need for RK to hear them.
(By bitter truth I don't mean Sultan's assertion that he would have done a better job as Madhu's husband but generally that any man whose wife chooses to leave his side must have found (/been given) a good enough reason to do so)
P.S. Thanks for the suggestion 0-SD-0. You can refer to me as TT, I think it has a nice ring to it! π
P.P.S- I know it doesn't have anything to do with today's episode but I couldn't resist adding this one thing- Of all the exciting ways to kill off a gangster's wife, they chose for her to have a car accident because she wasn't wearing a seat belt?!?
