@ CD: Do you know there actually are support groups for men harassed by women, especially married men harassed by wife and her family. This is mainly to support men who are falsely accused or implicated by their wives in domestic violence and dowry cases. In many cases, the wives subject husbands to not only emotional, but also physical torture. One such organization is Harassed Husbands of India. This is a serious issue. Since, women are considered the weaker sex, and most of the crimes are committed by men against women, the fact is that there also exist, though a minority, men who are harassed by women. This is a very serious issue, as I have experienced something similar in my extended familly.

Disclaimer - By stating that men also get harrased by women, I am in no way condoning domestic violence/any other crimes against women.

On a lighter note - I think the women's rights activists should not have any complaints regarding MEIEJ, as the men in this soap have always got the raw deal... women characters - all of them are empowered...

Paddo - Left her husband, remarried and killed her ex husband. For years made Malik sleep on the cot outside the house.

Radha - remarried, her husband is dependent on her and her son's grace for a living

Dipali - Treats her husband like trash, is trying to have an extra-marital affair with her BIL

Trishna - Has put her career above everything else, does not seem to need any man - no relationship or attraction to members of opposite sex

Roma - Still a spinster - does not need a man

Madhu - Has had three men dancing to her tunes, does not get bogged down by police, power, gangsters - nothing scares her.
