Awesome Post!! Completely agreed with what u said!! 😊

Not everyone can differentiate fiction and reality! Many tend to get influenced by what they see on TV, and CVs are definitely creating a bad influence on young minds!! That needs to be stopped!!

I agree that people with character like RK can never change, and i feel no amount of redemption can make-up for what he has done! 😳

To the TM and others on this thread,

You are entitled to your opinion. You don't like RK or the way he treats Madhu. Fine. You are suggesting ways for his redemption including his death, Madhu moving on etc. Fine again. That is your opinion which you are more than entitled to. Discuss away all you want. If the serial outrages you, change the channel.

What I take bigger issue with is that you are denigrating viewers who like the track - viewers have been called "brainwashed", "immature", "naive" and worse on this thread. The TM has attributed the "condition" of Indian women and girls to them watching "such" serials. How can you put yourself on a pedestal and label other viewers? You are dictating what others can or cannot watch, and just because you don't like what they like, you are calling them names.

This is censorship. This is also stereotyping of the worst kind. Reflect on what you are doing.

According to me getting influenced by fictious characters and like you mentioned girls tolerating abuse hoping for the guy to change totally depends upon the sensibility of the viewer, viewers should be mature enough to differentiate between real and reel life, in TV industry they need to show an intense love story which cannot proceed if RK is not given a chance to redeem himself!

One of the most appreciated piece of literature had Heathcliff as the lead who was vindictive , dark extremely passionate and obsessive somebody you wouldn't want to cross path with but that character was loved and appreciated by people throughout the world. He made his life and Cathy's life a hell but people fell in love with the depth of the character, no one supports his ideas or his emotionally abusive ways but they loved him for his intensity. Same goes for Christian Grey who was severely emotionally damaged but got his happy ending!

You're right about Heathcliff, but ultimately, he has to die for the novel to achieve justice. He does not get redemption before that.

Yup he dies but his death was not for the purpose of redemption , death was a relief for him, he was tortured by Cathy's memories and yearned to be with her he even dies with a smile on his face, his death was necessary for their reunion, it was about love which
crosses all barriers even death! Had Cathy been alive then it would have been a different story!

That's the thing, people think because its fiction ie the online fans, its ok to see the guy constantly humiliating the woman and using her as his punching bag. But what they fail to realise is illiterate people who watch this show takes this kind of message on board which is why scenes such as the court scene where MB spoke about women's rights are used in these so called fictional show. But alas according to some 13 year olds and of course not to forgot those in their thirties in this forum find it hot and whoever utter a word against the hero ~(in my book villain) is bashed or even better the fanatics start wishing for your death and claim to be saints the next day!! Just like the character of RK has been turn into a joker, so has the antics of his fanatics, who believe like them RK should be worshiped! It doesn't matter that he is yet to understand the consequences of his action. Just because his daddy committed suicide, the guy believes he has a licence to go around ruining other people's zindagi! He is an embarrassment to those who have suffered even worse childhood.

I find MB melting to his touch disgusting! Despite being her fan! I cannot digest her constant allowance of being humiliated. The rate of women who go back to their abusive partners and end up in morgues is shocking. BUT THEY SAY THEY LOVED THEM (always makes me wanna puke )And of course RK is yet to hit her (though he did come close to it when he readily wanted to smash a bottle on her head), the word abused is not restrained just to physicality, it includes emotional abuse, and quite frankly that is exactly what MB has been enduring. Humiliation over humiliation and not just on herself, but the guy even ensured he expanded his revenge mantra to her family, resulting in her foster dad nearly dying. But even then she forgave him dil se, aur what did he do? BACKSTABBED HER! And now to even expect her to go back to him should be like ERRMM NAH!!!.. Especially when according to RK, he is the one who has been hurt oups betrayed! Now using the girl to ensure his bruised ego is kept intact!

I am yet to understand whats so hot in a guy who humiliates a woman, but am sure the day I wear those specs I shall know.If rumours about cutting his wrist is true! Then if a character like MB cant tell him to screw himself and cut whatever or wherever he wants then that's disappointing. She sure as hell aint Ballu's daughter😆 If cvs want Rishbala as one they better start showing the guy repenting his deeds and giving the girl space to mkae up her own mind! Warna they can start waving tata-bye-bye to this show, as repetitive RK wont be carrying this show to the 1000 mark they want to go too.

But seriously, amazing post! Disgusting social message being sent by CVs! I hope the ratings are even lower.

Don't care who got offended!😃

TM,

Excellent post. The first time around when RK married Madhu and brought her to RK mansion no one complained too much as everyone thought RK had a past and he wold change with madhu's love as cliched as the story line was.

BUT since the cv's are hellbent on glorifying psycho RK's antics saying he's layered character which no one would understand, the Right Kameena,he would never change, his redemption is different and what not why don't they write showing Madhu to be a strong girl who rejects RK and moves on instead of showing her a weakling who melts at a man's touch.. Now that would be really path breaking on TV. But of course what about the endless eye locks and the so called sizzling chemistry?

Half of this forum are women and I'm appalled to see/read posts that are celebrating that Madhu is finally going back to her abuser.

Immature much?

That is exactly what I am saying. OVER HALF the rishbala supporters are women!! That is what is so worrying!! The so called justifications and rationalizations they are giving for their unsound thinking that RK loves Madhu. And is it coz

I can understand that in order to continue this series for as long as possible, CVs can't have everything happen quickly and at once. So I can understand them showing Madhu struggling with her attraction to RK.

What will be wrong is if near the end or at the end, they show Madhu ending up with RK and happy. THAT is the wrong msg. THAT is the grooming of girls for abuse.

For eg. already a lot are groomed from watching other soaps and bollywood about "phela pyaar". Wanting "phela pyaar" to last for ever, doesn't matter that he along the way he has treated her worse than dog poo.

Also none of us are born mature and like I said, if you watch emotional and/or physcial abuse mixed up with good looks, attraction and sexiness and AT THE END IT ALL ENDS WELL, THEN THAT IS INFLUENCING THE PUBLIC AND GIVING THE WRONG MSG COZ IN REAL LIFE IT DOES NOT END WELL AT ALL.

Nikhilageet, my response in this colour below within the body of your reply

@ TM nice post. I agree on most of your points. And you are right if we truly look around we will find many RK s around us. In fact I can honestly say that I know a couple myself. But speaking as a viewer its precisely because its fiction and fantasy why most of us love it. I love RK as a character but in real life would I want a man like that -NO is the answer.

Nobody WANTS a man like that. The point is that girls end up with men like this before they realise it.

In real life I think most of us have enough common sense to realise that a bad seed remains a bad seed- they never change.

I disagree, just consider. What if the influence on you regarding romance, what is sexy, the total blurring of lines between what is manly, masculine, etc and control, jealously, lack of respect, boundries is EVERY DAY in the likes of soaps like this one, and IPKKND? And everyday they show, the girl putting up with it, still loving the guy, the guy changing and it all ends happy.

Do you really think that girls coming across a funny, charming, v intelligent, whom they find sexy, handsome, a guy who gives them attention initially, is good to them and then once she is in too deep, shows his true colours and everytime she considers leaving, he "shows remorse, redemption" and then back to his old ways, is not going to be sub consciously influenced by what she has watched EVERYDAY for months and years???!!

Bear in mind that IPKKND was the first and more and more soaps will jump on the bandwagon. of the "dark hero" And there is nothing wrong with showing dark heros. WHAT IS WRONG IS IF THEY SHOW THE USUAL HAPPY ENDINGS.

But the desire to see such a man being converted to goodness, and reforming himself is something that most of us would love to see. And we are well aware that it will happen only in fiction.
Plenty of girls/women already think it will happen in real life, unfortunately. Esp Indian women. Its one of the many reasons Indian females are some of the worst treated in the world.

As human beings we see so much of unhappiness and misery around us, for some in their marriages or relationships that we would like to see something good happening even after strife - as in a show.
Oh I agree with you there!! But good happening can be shown without sending out the horrendous message that psychopaths change! There are SOOO many options and avenues open for this serial! The production house, channel and CVs have to be brave, and groundbreaking!

I am not sure if I am making my POV clear, You are!! 😊 but this is why I atleast watch this. I would have had no objection if the CV s had brought in a businessman or a dr and so on as a parallel lead for madhu. But a gangster is somehow not the right right choice. If we really want to see s a fiction show , we just want reality and give the right message wouldn t we want madhu to find a good guy. The question is raised that if Dawood ( cant remember other names😕) or some other mafia guy came upto us and treated us like queens would we go happily with them just because they are nice😲. I guess when it is a fiction show , its just something meant for temporary enjoyment. And somehow as human beings we would all like to believe that people can change for the better 😊
The argument is endless and I dont mean to offend anyone. Liked your post and thought I would pen down my thoughts too 😊

Like I said there are so many options available. CVs don't have to follow the formula that just coz the jodi started with Vivian and Dhrashti, it has to end that way as them as the lead pair. My concern is that our temporary enjoyment has influence on us esp when its everyday and esp when its young naive girls.

On a final note, in real life gangsters are more likely to change their ways. 😲 Pyschopaths are incurable.😕 However like I said in my original post, I don't mind who Madhu ends up with so long as it isn't psychopath RK.
