" why is Rishab not with us ? " i blurted before my mind could process which is more important. I hate my brain when it doesn't listen to me.
Ranveer just shrugged and walked us to the car.I didn't want to ask again he might think i m taking too much interest which i m not. I was just curious about their friendship nothing else. We drove to khundra mansion and ranveer told me we must gather in games room after dinner that gives me like five hours. I quickly freshen up and went to lawn with my laptop. The backyard of khundra house is huge and i have still not seen it. Certain someone promised me to take a tour but now he is busy with other interests. I sat on the armchair staring at the blue sky and setting of the sun for inspiration but you know what that didn't work. I concluded that whoever tells stuffs like that inspire you just bluffs. You can get ideas only when you crush your brain to death.
" missed me " I heard yash say before pulling a chair and sit beside me.
" hey partner, wats up? " I said
" too busy to talk to me " he complained
" well party " I said. I didn't want to exaggerate knowing that poor soul doesn't get to attend it.
" yeah " he nodded sadly " but I ll go to party after two years " he said hopefully
How should I console him? Tell him that parties are good for nothing and he should study or confess that it is my first party? God I suck at these things.
" so what is your part? " Thankfully he asked something else I would be worried not knowing what to talk.
" planning decorations " I said
" need help? " he asked. Such a sweet guy in spite of not attending the party he willed to help.
" can you give me the pics of previous year party ? " I asked that way I can know what not to include.
" I got only some pics in my phone it might help " he said taking his phone from his pocket.
All the party pics looked the same. Nothing innovative. I understand now why ranveer said men sucks in planning. Even if I put a little effort it will seem like Himalayan hard work. One picture caught my attention where Rishab was side hugging Anna and they both were laughing. They both didn't look that young maybe it was last year.
" this pic.?"
" oh last year I guess " yash shrugged. I was right.
" Rishab and Anna are they like couple ? " I asked
" they are complicated " yash said
" elaborate " I demanded but didn't make it obvious
" well when Rishab bro was 16 he had so many girls as friends that he didn't know whom to take for the first ever party he attended so he chose Anna as Thomas uncle was friend of dad. That time she was the only girl who understood Rishab bro is taking her only because he wanted a girl to accompany him and not because he liked her. After that party they hit it off well but after a year Anna started to like him and he didn't. so they had their first break up sort of thing. Then after a month Rishab bro went to her and asked for another chance and they were again together. Till a year there was constant fight and all but a big fight occurred in the farewell party of school when Anna tried to kiss him and he stopped her. She was humiliated that is what I was told. I heard Rishab bro talking to ranveer bro saying that he didn't feel like doing it. He said when he wanted to kiss a girl it should be like all his cells are pushing to get her else he would collapse. Rishab bro can be cheesy at times. Then again they both agreed mutually that they will be together till one of them find their special one. But just a month or so before they fought again because Rishab bro wanted to do arrangements for your arrival and things like that and he forgot her birthday. "
Yash was awesome narrator. It was like a movie story and if it lasted for another minute I would have demanded popcorn. Don't take me wrong but that is the most crappy story I have ever heard. Their last fight was because Rishab was doing something for a girl he didn't know (technically me) forgetting her.Great that is why she hated me from the beginning. Next time I should make sure to tell her that I m no worry to her as the last guy I choose in this world will be Rishab that too only if I m desperate.
" I thought you will ask me about Ranveer bro's story with you and him being together always I assumed ……………." He trailed off
Yeah right. How can I forget that Ranveer has/had a love story to. Rishab told me the other day and I wanted to know about it. But currently Rishab's story was like watching two seasons of a daily soap so I m not in a mood for another love story.
" I ll pass " I said raising my hands in air.
" its is short " yash insisted " and less complicated and well kind of sweet "
" when I have no designe to show to your brother later this evening I can't tell them I was busy hearing their love stories " I said and checked my watch
God it was already 6 meaning I have only two more hours left. Wow I have been talking to yash for two hours.
Dinner was quiet and peaceful. Guess why? Because Rishab wasn't here. I think he is with Anna after all they had made up after a month. Their story is complete bull $**t. It is crystal clear that they are together because they didn't want to be alone and ruin their reputation. It is all drama,isn't it? Or do they really like each other? Is it the kind of love after fight stories that you see in TV shows? That can't be true. But I don't care,do i?
After dinner I went to games room with Ranveer and we both began to discuss on the guest list. After 30 minutes Rishab arrived.
" you are late " I complained
" you are early sweetheart moreover I was giving you both some alone time " he winked. Yeah Moron .
" if you are gonna tell me that you forgot to collect the handmade paper invitation I m gonna kick your ass " ranveer warned
Rishab took a paper from his pocket and gave to ranveer with a mock laughter.
I curiously peeped to see the invitation. Shocked I looked at ranveer who nodded his head disapprovingly and Rishab was smirking.
" what rubbish? " I asked
" that is cool I m just boosting girl's ego and helping my clan " Rishab said shrugging
"you didn't tell me about this ? ' ranveer asked
" you know it now and trust me it will help you as well " Rishab said
The invitation read special note to girls saying that they cannot refuse to the first person who ask them for dance if they do so they will not attend the party. Of course that will help boys they can dance with their favorite girl even though the girl hates him.
" so did you do your work ? " Rishab asked raising his eyebrows. What? Did he really think I m not serious about the party.
" I have perfect theme " I smiled really proud of my idea. " Beauty and the beast " I clasped my hands in excitement
Rishab and ranveer didn't react they looked at each other then at me as if I m mad. So much for helping them.
" do you expect us to approve ? " Rishab asked raising one eyebrow
" that is my favorite fairy tale " I pouted. Its awesome isn't?
" nutcase it is not a kids party " Rishab said " you get to dress all fancy and we boys are beasts ? "
Well that made sense. I didn't think in that grounds. Boys must feel wired. But Rishab shouldn't have a problem dressing up as beast surprise he is already one. I mentally gave myself hi5.
" I was just excited about the fairy tale theme " I confessed
" no worries we can change that to Cinderella " ranveer suggested. Oh god this guy is so sweet.
Rishab looked at ranveer shocked as if he told that he is gay.
" you can't be serious . fairy tale? Seriously? This is khundra party not kindergarten party " Rishab said
" Rishab we need change " ranveer said.
" but this is tacky " Rishab argued.
" it will be fun we can handle " ranveer shrugged.
" so sweet of you " I smiled at ranveer and he nodded with his lips curved to something near to smile.
" why am I surprised that you agree to all her crap " Rishab made a big not happy kind of face.
" And ranveer I wanted to ask if I could invite my friend Rohan , Rohan kapoor " I said almost apologetically. Am I asking for too much.
Ranveer stiffened for a minute. Rishab chuckled.
" now I am eager to see you say yes " Rishab said leaning on the sofa his hand supporting his head.
" I m sorry I didn't …………"
" you can " ranveer said plainly
" I can? " I wondered
" she can? " Rishab repeated
" what? " ranveer asked seeing our shocked faces.
" I thought you and rohan's bro……" I trailed off
" that isn't important " ranveer snapped
" do you want me to trade this statement to New York? " Rishab asked surprised
Ranveer gave him a look that made Rishab fall back to his previous position
" do whatever you want and invite whoever you want " ranveer said.
His face looked troubled. I felt very sorry for bringing this topic. What would have happened? Is the reason a girl? Because I heard Ranveer had a girl friend. Huh it is has or had?
" will he be ok? " I asked Rishab once ranveer went out
" why don't you go behind him and give a comforting hug " Rishab said
" will that work ?" I asked
" butterfly have you heard of sarcasm " he gave me 'you-are-stupid' look
" moron " I muttered under my breath
" I m more troubled now why don't you hug me " he spread his arms standing up. I wacked his arms making him growl.
I need to find out everything but before that I have a party to take care of.
