RK is the indian version of Heathcliffe from Wuthering Heights (Emily Bronte). How can I forget this character? RK is a dark, brooding, an anti-hero character. Is it possible we the audience has never had a character like him and are not understanding him?
RK reminds me a lot of Heathcliff. The way he delivers his dialoges with sneer and grin a trait that Heathcliff had. or his love for Madhubala. Heathcliffe and Catherine had this kind of love. These two are soul mates. Two-halves of a single soul who forever will be struggling to unite. RK and Madhubala's relationship reminds me of Heathcliff and Catherine. They feel most alive when they are rebelling against each other. RK's love is a genuine love but with darkness and dangerous.
