Totally agree with you. I guess the meaning of redemption is different in his dictionary.

A deeper understanding is needed here . He is dark . He is an egoist and he is in self denial. He will only allow his true self to be shown thru his subconscious mind. As long as he is aware of himself and his surrounding, he will never allow himself to think that he had done wrong. For if he does he would have to hurt his self righteous ego. And therefore he has to keep himself in a state of self denial. Stubbornly he must say "I am right!"
But deep inside, he already knows that he had done wrong. --he knew, the minute she fell and broke her bangles, on that very day he enacted his so called revenge. He knew--- but could not stop himself ,for it was probably a compulsion and a need to feel right at all times. He had years of practise you see. He felt right when he thot he mum did wrong. He felt right when he realised that the Bhatias were the worst spongers in the world when his mum was not aware of it and he felt right when he saw and placed deepali in the sphere of all women being fickle.
Feeling right all the time can be a dangerous thing. You become arrogant and then start to play God. And when RK was right and playing God , how could he stop his cruelty--- altho his heart was hurt?
I feel he realised as early as the dupatta scene when he asked all his servants to throw out the evidence of the loving times that he must have enjoyed. It was just too difficult to handle . He would not admit his realisation of love, for if he does it would be too hard to feel that RK had done wrong.
So I agree with the writer of the story--- realisation has seeped in and redemption is at the door. It came knocking when he came running to keep his wife company, when she was alone at the outdoor shoot. He has just realised that he wants to keep her save. Redemption will be complete when he will want to keep her save from himself--- or rather when he gives her up to another who he thinks is better for her.
Thats what I think dear Orchid .

Very good article.
RK has not redeem himself yet. RK needs to atone himself in Madhu's eyes.
I think the CV's think he redeemed himself by :
saving Madhu from her father
saving Malik from going to jail
helpded Madhu's sister to start her career
helpded Paddo and Malik in their relationship
RK did not take advantage of Madhu
But some people do not realize doing the above deeds does not forgive RK for what he did to Madhu. He emotionally killed her. He made her not trust her own feelings/judgment. She doubhts herself. In life if you can depend on one person, it is Yourself. If u are broken and cannot trust your own feeling then you have nothing. I believe for this RK needs to atone himself in her eyes.
I believe it's happening. He has not redeemed himself yet, but i am seeing it in the last couple of episodes.

Totally agree.

My question is will the viewers/Mahdu believe him?

For the first time ever we got know of RK's fears and insecurities through a dream .Otherwise we cannot tell when RK is acting/faking/whatever. Even now some of us don't know for sure if Rk's story near the lake is true or not. That's how much the viewership lost faith in RK.

Trusting back viewers/madhu's faith will be a herculean task both for writers and RK.

And writers if you think by making RK save Madhu from a creep and by making him sit at the chawl and throw some dialogues at the police or threatening to burn the jungle down 🤪is anywhere near redemption you're grossly mistaken and might I add failed.

agreed RK has done good things before, did it change his as a person his ego rules over everything? how can Madhu still be soft towards a man with no principles. And the CVs need to look up the definition of realization, regret and redemption. His redemption would be when he is feeling sorry for what he did to MADHU and making up what he did to HER. Right now he is just realizing HIS feeling, that HE is in love, that HE needs love, and that HE will die if she leaves him for another man. Its all about him, his needs and his feelings. There is not a thing in there about how he must have hurt Madhu and what can he to make things up.

True.
So according to RS the redemption track is already in motion. Really now? If so then I'm afraid I have not picked up on this.

SUPERBLY explained👏...A deeper understanding is needed here indeed and it's kinda sad that most ppl aren't getting how well the writers are writing this and how much they have managed to layer RK as a character...they've genuinely managed to write a very interestingly complex character...Do ppl seriously think that his realization or redemption will be so STRAIGHTFORWARD as if to happen in a couple of days? If the writers do that, then THAT would be an epic fail...Nothing is ever straightforward with RK in that sense...I frankly think the writers dropped very OBVIOUS signs that he's subconsciously starting to realize what he's lost...but his ego has ALWAYS been his easy defense mechanism for him to ADMIT anything easily...but the change is being shown VERY obviously and if ppl still aren't being able to see it, then yeah it is kinda sad.
