Hi! dearie...I wont contradict you in your understanding of faking revenge, although, I believe its revenge. I have my own reasons to take it as revenge only because people can never hurt their love to this extent by putting them to this kind of extreme humiliation, not only by himself but by others also. If he has reason to act weird, he could have ignored her, avoided her presence after dumping her in the chawl, but in no case humiliating your love constantly, make sense to me. He is not the only one humiliating her, he instigate others also to do the same. I would like to believe that whatever he did was for revenge but in the process might have developed soft corner for her, which he is trying to suppress because of the negativity( created due to rejection by Deepali) ruling his heart and mind.
