It's short...but you all know how much I love building up the suspense and making you all curious as to what'll happen next. :)

Chapter Sixteen - Sudden Embrace

I was packing in my room when I heard a knock at my door. I turned around and wasn't surprised to see Madhu standing there with an odd expression on her face. She seemed confused, as though she couldn't tell if she wanted me to stay or to go.

I stood up and crossed my arms, waiting for her to say whatever she had come to say. But she didn't budge. She stood in the doorway, staring at me...waiting for me to speak.

"Is there something you needed?"

I didn't mean to be so harsh, or non-talkative. It just happened. I wasn't too happy about leaving because I had no place to stay and because it'd be more difficult to get revenge, but I had no other choice. I had to leave.

"No..."

She seemed upset by the tone of her voice. So I gestured for her to come in. She stepped forwards and I gestured towards the door. Surprisingly, she made no remark and simply heeded by closing the door behind herself.

I took a seat down on the edge of my bed and watched her sit down beside me.

"I'm sorry."

"Sorry? For?"

"Not being able to convince my parents to let you stay."

"And I thought you wanted me gone."

"I did."

I let out a sarcastic chuckle, knowing she had never liked me. But as I noticed she spoke in the past tense, I looked in her direction. I stared at her face as she stared towards her hands in her lap. She was silent and upset.

"What...what changed your mind?"

"RK. You can't go."

RK. That was the second time she called me by my name directly. I wanted to tell myself that I could confirm the fact that she knew I'm her RK...her Rishabh. But I couldn't figure out why she wouldn't accept it in front of me.

"Why not Madhu?"

"You can't leave me. Not now."

"Now? Why Madhu?"

"Stop asking me that."

She stood up and walked towards the middle of the room, her back towards me. I got up and went to stand directly behind her. Our bodies nearly touching; I could sense the heat radiating off of her body.

"Why."

I spoke in a soft tone, not pressuring her too much, but also not letting her get away without answering. She stood silent.

I raised my hand and gently placed it on her shoulder. Then before I could question her again, she was in my arms. She turned and pushed herself in my arms within a split second. It took me a moment to realize that we were in an embrace. My arms were around her before I could even tell myself that she had hugged me.

I heard her sobbing into my chest.

"I'm going with you Rishabh. I'm going with you."

Wow great, she knows RK is her rishab, now what gonna happen?

Pls do update the next chap as early as possible
