He is clearly not able to handle her grief, which is why he wanted her far away, safe with her mother. And for her, I suppose in some corner of her heart, she thought she would find a clue to his changed behaviour by staying around.
She knows him very well .. too well ..to not recognise his care but yesterday she saw how far he is willing to go for his ego, and that was a huge realization for her. Her daring him to do what he wants with her, was actually an indication of the limits she had said she is willing to cross.
I am curious...what next for him...and for her??

Soundarya, I don't think he's doing it only for ego. He's very egoistic, but I feel his actions after the "unwedding" are all to make sure Madhu stays away from him. He's doing everything in his power, including humiliating/hurting so she quits and that they don't have to meet. His ego probably prevents him from getting her fired.

Again, I am going by the premise that it's not revenge at all but some psychological/circumstantial reason for breaking the relationship. Only way to achieve is to hurt her badly and negate the relationship and it's very foundation. Or maybe I am deluding myself as I need a hero who's inherently good !

We as 'neutral' viewers, we now know it is not ego.., the Cvs are giving us indicators that it is not ego, there is a reason for this break up. I am sure they will also justify it brilliantly.
@bold - That is true for us. We're not being allowed to hate him completely, though his behaviour disgusts us.

But at this point, or rather yesterday Madhu probably reached the conclusion that he is doing it for his revenge and ego.

We can see very clearly how he is trying to push her away from him, she cannot see it as yet.

Again, mercifully for us, CV's are beginning to differentiate between madhu and us viewers.

ETA- My husband who by default watches saturday episodes...commented when he saw the dressing room scene...'he really loves her'😊. This coming from a person who predicted he was faking his love long before the track began, while we were all in 'dream land'.

I think here the war is psychological - she feels insulted because he coerced her, used his power over her helplessness to makes her do something as personal as exposing her body in front of everyone in a way and to an extent that she's not comfortable doing.

In the eyes of the whole crew, there was no insult happening- bur RK, Madhu and Bittuji knew he was deliberately using his power - touched her knowing how invasive it would feel for her and removing the stole would have been the last straw.

He has taunted her about how willing she was, it's like I refused you but I still can touch you whenever I want - plain disgusting. Her tears were for all that humiliation that it represents. Her slap is so justified.

got that yaar..but if she walked in confidently and gave the shot, any of us wud have termed it "humiliation"? not saying there was something wrong with Madhu's predicament..it's a matter of personal choice & mindset (i dun agree with it , that's a diff. issue )..but the way they presented the whole scenario was utter bewakoofi...and it goesn't go with her character, specially with the way she challenged him a day back...did she give him back massage? nahi na... she cud have easily got away with this one also..acting miserable in front of him ? did she want that? can he stoop lower than this? isn't it obvious ? public humiliation in the chawl wasn't sufficient proof? anyhow, it was highly contrived..i didn't like yest. epi..i.e. in terms of execution of the plot..

Now I get u referring to Rk as understood by Madhu !

CV's must be so happy to have generated so much speculation :) Hope it shows in the TRP's.
I really need a closure for this track - too muddle-headed for me. I don't want to watch next 6 months of Madhu thinking it's revenge and showing her nafrat and saintly RK putting up with it.

CV's, Please let Madhu also see that he has some self-destructive motive and she can, as usual barge in where saner minds fear to tread.

I agree that it was highly contrived. Shri had said in some post longtime back, the CV's keep changing Madhu's character to create drama.

@Soundarya - Yep, ITA with your above statement. That's exactly how I felt. RK not wanting her in his viscinity but still her memories haunting him at every single walk of his life whether it is at the studio while he was refusing to do the jhoola scene or whether it is at his mansion where he gets reminded of her teaching him manners and feeding his favorite dhal chawal. Speaking of dhal chawal, VD in his chat said that he likes dhal chawal prepared by his mom and may be he improvised it or the CVs suggested him to go with whichever food he liked. Sorry! I got side tracked there.

As far as Madhu is concerned, she definitely wants a closure for this so called revenge act and wants to wrap her head around his recent behavior which would in turn help her to move on with her life. But, unfortuantely she is left to go in circles just like us viewers where there is no clear cut clue or evidence to characterize him as an amoral man. At several circumstances, he has proved himself to be a man of character despite his acerbic tongue and hurtful taunts and especially today he did not proceed with removing her stole when he could have clearly done that and gloated over the fact that he humiliated her and could have kept a score that he won and she lost.

May be he did it for revenge, may be he didn't. It took us almost two weeks to atleast give in to the notion that may be he really was taking revenge. Same goes for Madhu, her mind tells her to believe that he played this so called love game just so he could fulfill his revenge but her heart does not want to believe since she sees a guy who is caring and worried for her when she slipped and fell and the same guy who is hell bent on tormenting her goes all soft when he sees tears in her eyes. What is she to make out of it and that explains why she just blew her top off today when she threw her shawl and dared him to do whatever he wants with her, now that she had slapped him for the fifth time. She knows that he would never do such a cheap act but wants to see how much lower can he stoop if it is his ego that he is trying to feed by torturing her.
