Actually in my opinion RK was concerned about madhu's well being because she was hurt in her foot, everybody must have been busy in pack up and she was alone in that area where she was passing through, so just for her concern RK must have followed her to that place.

Rk also knew that madhu is scared of darkness so he wanted to warn her and come with him towards some other gate but we know madhu is also a ziddi person so she must have kept going in that dark direction.

while pulling her towards other direction the cloth got torn but madhu had the feeling that she cannot follow in the direction he wants her to go. She is also packed with humiliation and burning flames so she does not want to obey him and wanted to show that she now even does not get scared with darkness and went on.

but she still seemed tough to do everything for these three days so thinking it to be a trick of RK she slapped him and with stern eyes told him that keep away from me, I am inflammable.
