Hi Everyone!
My name is Ria, and this is my first post on this forum! I love this show, and I have been a silent reader. I just never have the time to be too active on IF, so I dont really post anything. BUT. This show, and this amazingly portrayed "dark" love story has FORCED me to take time and make this post. I just cannot contain myself 😆 Especially now, when the story has really begun.
This is by far one of the best shows I have seen on Indian television, in every which way: script, dialogues, characters, actors, screenplay.. everything. 👏
Anyway, enough of that,.. Let me just get to the point of this topic 😳
In todays episode, it was obvious in every scene that RK loves Madhu more than life itself. Why do I say this?... let me explain.
Madhu and RK meet. RK calls her name when she gets hurt --- and all of a sudden, his love is almost exposed. If he had not gone on to taunt and humiliate her, his act would have been up. He could not let this happen,... and so to cover up, he puts up his evil act again. In this way, he hit two targets. How?
1. he covered up his mistake of almost showing his love, and maintained his evil image in front of her.
2. he got a chance to put some more salt on her wounds.
Both of which, he needed to do. He needs her to hate him and think that he is evil. And he needs to hurt her further, so that she feels the need to fight back.
He finds out in this same scene, that she is there for work as a hairdresser. And he realizes,.. yes! this is the right time to encourage her more...instill that desire in her further to fight back. And he does this through words. Angers her, hurts her.
Then, when he is in his vanity van, he sees that Madhu left in anger. She did not do the job she was there for because of him. But this is not what he wants. He wants to make her strong. He wants to make her fight against him,... in front of his face. He wants her to be able to rise a height of success and independence, without caring for him... ignoring him. He wants to have no affect on her.
He needed to do something else... something more... so what does he do?
Then comes his scene with Radha. He knew that if he told her what happened, she would definitely go to Madhu. So, he narrates the story, and tells Radha that Madhu was broken and he had won. What she had said, about Madhu fighting back,... isnt happening. He tells her that she shakes in front of him... that she is shattered. In this way, he has encouraged Radha to go to Madhu, and tell her to fight. Tell her not to take all of this from RK, and tell her to destroy him,... give him a taste of his own medicine,... and show him that he has lost.
This is exactly what RK wants. He is doing all of this to make Madhu hate him. To make her strong and independent. To make her unaffected by him. So that she can become successful, become an actress.
In todays episode, his scene with Madhu showed that he was purposely instigating her. And in his scene with Radha,... he was doing the same. Purposely encouraging his mother and Bittuji to go and tell Madhu that no, RK has done you wrong, and you need fight.
RK then goes to his medicine, to treat his pain. Alcohol. He drinks so that he can forget all that happened. So he can forget his pain, and all of what is hurting as he does all of this. And then,... Baahon Ke Darmiyaan.
(This scene was beautiful. I loved how both Madhu and RK were shown. BUT,... since this topic is just about RK, Im going to stick to that 😳 Just wanted to say, I loved it!! 😆)
So,.. as RK listens,... all the memories come back. The love he has for Madhu was clear here. He loved her so, so much. He loves the memories,... he loves their moments, and he yearns to have her back. But,... he cannot let these memories weaken him. He must stay strong, and do as he has planned.
He gets angry. Not at the memories. Not at Madhu. Not at their love.
He gets angry at himself. He gets angry at what he has done, and what he will have to do. He gets angry at whatever the reason is, that is making him do all of this to his love.
It was obvious. He loves her immensely. More than anything. But he has to do this. He has to make her strong. Make her hate him. But why??
This is the big twist. This is what Madhubala: Ek Ishq, Ek Junoon, is all about. And I am SO excited to find out. And so so so excited to see this story unfold.
I think there is something much bigger than just the fact that RK is doing all of this so that Madhu can become an actress. I think there is more to it. Something huge is making RK drag her into films in such a tragic way. And I can not wait to see what it is!!! 👏
RK's love is undeniable. Inexplicable. He loves Madhu more than life itself. If we think back to all the scenes when RK opened himself up to Madhu,... he had told her, at one point, that his films and his fans are what he lived for. When he was completely broken, lost, and shattered. When he felt that he had nothing else,...films and his fans came to him. This industry, this world was his life.
Before Madhu came into his life.
Now. Something huge has happened. Something grave. Something that is making him sacrifice everything that was once his life... his films, his stardom,.. the love of his fans... For his one and only love, Madhubala.
Madhubala will come into films, and she will attain all that RK has. And at that point,... RK will win. And he will live again. Live a life full of love. Love... for Madhubala.
