Madhubala:Ek Ishq Ek Junoon " The journey and fate of a Woman".

I am sure that there wouldn't be single women, person, viewers, MB fan who become stunned or perhaps too stunned to even speak after watching tonight's epic episode. It was crafted in such a fashion and it's purpose other than entertainment and the inclusion a social message or spreading an awareness was to make sure that whatever was said, whatever was expressed was effective, was strong enough to make a difference.
Though a large portion of the population watch TV to relax themselves, as a means of entertainment'there is no denying the fact that TV is a highly educative and informative medium and the shows that air, the characters shown have managed to inspire, encourage people' especially women. Hence today's episode of Madhubala:EIEJ can be considered as one of those Golden Episodes where there was a high dose of entertainment and, was a wake-up call to all those women who quietly suffers and silently sheds tears.
Drashti Dhami and Pallavi Purohit showcased one of their best works till date, but the show stealer in tonight's episode were the Dialogues. Yet there is a catch'as viewers, as fans we see Drashti and Pallavi deliver the dialogues written for their characters, Madhu and Padmini flawlessly'..Hence the true Star of tonight's episode beyond a shadow of Doubt was Mr. Raghuvir Shekhawat dialogues followed by Drashti and Padmini's outstanding portrayal !!! Drashti and Pallavi gave stupendous performances and there is no taking that away from them, but the dialogues left a mark of its own and enhanced their portrayal as Madhubala and Padmini which also left a mark.
The makers, the team of Madhubala :EIEJ are/will be applauded for this step they took in giving out this social message' The show being one of the most popular on TV these days with a huge fan following it sure would leave an Impact. Now that we have talked about the social message/the informative part of it'lets come to the entertaining part.
The episodes showcased the Journey and fate of a woman, of a wife, a mother'..A fate that she re-wrote, a journey she embarked upon long back but is still on'.
While on one side Padmini was asking for Death Sentence not because she killed BSC'but because it took her 20 years to do so. On the other side Madhu gave an insight of the society we live in, the atrocities on women and the wrong notion in our country of the comparison between Man (Mard/Aadmi)and God(Parmeshwar) etc.
Padmini's words, her request to be hanged till death was something you expect a mother like her to do. She ran away to ensure the safety of her daughters, especially Madhu'.and suddenly out of no where, after a good 20 Years'here was her worst nightmare standing infront of her ready to kill her daughter Madhu. Had she killed him the day he decided to Kill Padmini and the baby in her womb (Madhu), she wouldn't be seeing this day'..Her daughter wouldn't have gone through such a torture''Running away did help, it help her for 20 years but it was never a permanent solution.
"Woh saza mujhe, meri pati Balraj Choudhary ko marne ke liye nahi, usse itne saal Zinda rakhne ke liye ho'.Aaj se 20 saal pehle usse khatam na karne ki saza ho'."and from then it was her old life that was running infront of her, she re-collected all those moments when he hit her, insulted her, treated her like crap but all she did was keep quiet and not retort back.
It's been quite a long time since the viewers saw Madhu in her "Tigress mode" and what etter than tonight's episode for the same? The Lawyer was the one who triggered Madhu's anger and he was going to face her wrath, her fury. Madhu has never seen her father, did not know how he looked up until a day back'Yet the hatred she had for Balraj Choudhary was immense'.She did not need to see him to judge, form an opinion but the naked truth that BSC tried to kill her mother, her sister and her because her (Madhu's) birth would bring his downfall was more than enough for her to figure out what a father, what a human being he was.
Madhu's defense starts with her defining Parmeshwar, pointing out the difference between Parmeshwar and Rakhshas'.the topic then shifts to the mindset of the people in our country who consider Boys superior to girls, Sons superior to Daughters''"'.aur ek din yehi chirag apne andhar ki aag se ladkhiyon ko jalana shuru kar deta hai'andhere galiyon mein unki chehre par acid phektha hai'.chalti hui bus mein unka balatkar karta hai'aur kabhi zinda unhe kokh mein maar diya jaata hai"
If one were to interpret these lines with keeping in mind the present condition of our nation, then the Sonali Mukharjee Case (Dhanbad Acid Case), the Delhi Gang Rape and Female Feotecide is covered brilliantly'.
'..about the importance of women who hold the power, the strength and ability to give birth to another human "'aur agar kisi din aurat ki kokh ne hartaal kar diya, toh yeh duniya kabhi aage nahi badegi'"
Madhu tells that after what her mother did, after what she has been doing for the past 20 Years since the time she wasn't even born to protect her, and their family'her mom is her God and declares that she is proud of what her mother did.
The proud look on Padmini's face that her daughter was fighting for her'.on Trishna, Roma and Mallik's face hearing Mahdu speak'. on Radhaji's face that she was blessed to have a daughter-in-law like Madhu'.and on RK's face that this was the woman who he fell in love with, that this was his wife'..and the stating ovation by all present in the court was like cherry on the cake.
The message towards the end of the episode by Padmini was loud and clear "Pehle thappad aur pehli gaali ka hi jawab de'thakey woh doosri thapad dene ki himmat na kar sake'warna paap aur atyachar ek din itna badega ki woh rakhshas ka roop le lega'isliye lado'.apne parivaar ke liye, apne bacho ke liye aur samaj ke liye"
Today's was a purely performance oriented episode'..and as long as performances are concerned the entire cast, especially Drashti Dhami and Pallavi Purohit did an outstanding and flawless Job. The dialogue delivery, body language, and the expressions everything was bang on!!!'It was as though they were on fire. You look at the screen and it was hard to tell if they are acting or living they character they were playing'..
The only flaw which is minor and can be royally ignored was the scene where Madhu while arguing tells that her mom would have suffered BSC atrocities even today, if it was directed to her'.but when it came down to her daughter Madhu'how could she (Padmini) keep quiet, stand back? It was a dent, a flaw '.a woman should not have to speak only when her child was in trouble, she should find the courage to speak, to fight back even when she is ill-treated.
If you haven't watched the episode, do not miss for anything'.because it's totally worth your time and interest.
