Brilliant is the word.
I am enjoying this 'Padmini-Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' from the past few episodes. At least, Padmini's character seems to make lot more sense to me than Madhu's. 😆
It was heart touching to see the two souls who had suppressed their feelings for each other for the past 20 years, reach out to each other with volcano of emotions erupting in each at the thought of other being in peril. What tugged at my heart was the fact that, the two were completely lost in each other. In that moment, nothing else mattered to them. It didn't matter that their daughters were around witnessing them. All they cared about was that the other was safe. The terror in their eyes, for the other being in mortal peril, the sense of relief to see each other unharmed, and once that appeased a sudden realization, that in that one moment their nameless relationship might have reached a stage from where there is no looking back. All the plethora of emotions was very very well done. Kuods to the actors here. 👏
I dont ever remember any CVs portraying the love story of supporting characters so beautifully.
Trishna's reaction was what I expected. If Madhu was not ready to accept this thought immediately, it would be unfair of us viewers to demand that Trishna should have reacted differently and supported the marriage. At that particualar instant, all she could see was this plan of RK's has caused a lot of distress to her parents. It is understandable.
Now the much hyped slap, I am simply amazed by RK. It just shows the lengths he could go for the sake of his loved ones. He truly sees a mother in Padmini and hence had no qualms in getting slapped by her. Same goes with Padmini. She is not a person who would go around slapping people unless she exerts rights on them.(Quite unlike madhu, who did not hesitate in slapping RK in front of his whole crew)
The best scene has to be the chawl scene, where Padmini asks to be left alone. Through her eyes, she pleads Malik to understand and he does. What more understanding can we demand from two people in love? And then again, when they look at each other through the window, padmini hurts and in an instant Maliks wants to run to her, but still gathers the courage to hold himself.
I loved how RK said that he understands the importance of a husband-wife relationship, and hence wants them to get married. Loved how he silenced Trishna, asked her to keep quiet when it comes to matters of heart. It was very wise of him to put those two questions in front of mailk-padmini, answers to which he already knew. All he wanted was padmini to listen to those answers from malik. (RK will always come up with new ways to make me fall more for him..)
Now coming to madhu, she disappointed me today. Both in studio scene and with Radha scene. I expected her to support her husband, not with his plan, but with his intention behind it. How can she manage to be quiet throughout the entire scene is beyond me, 😲especially when Trishna accuses RK of interfering in her parents' personal matter. She should have defended her husband there. Instead, what she does, goes home and cries on Radha's shoulder that her mom slapped her husband. 😲Why? What purpose does that serve? 😒We were not even shown properly how Radha reacts to it, and to be frank I dont care. But madhu has to learn to keep the matters between her and RK to herself, especially matters as sensitive as this.
I would like to end this very long post on the happy thoughts of the romantic elements in today's episode. Loved how RK hugged her in the studio. Finally he rested his head on hers during a hug. Loved how RK said, 'galti karne ki mafi hoti hai, par koshish na karne ki mafi nai hoti'. Very true, and applicable to all aspects of one's life..
Pillows going down, him asking her to rest her head on his hand, all of it was beyond cute.
