Padmini ko shamsher, Roma, Madhu, Trish sab pyar karte hai. Only temporary disturbance. She is confident of winning all of them.

Radha is craving for her son from the past 17 years and Padmini was blessed with two loving daughters. So, their reactions are ought to be different. Radha might be at fault but she would certainly wish to have a normal mother-son bond. RK closed himself once she married Kuku, and from there on, both RK and Radha are longing for each other. RK doesnt show it and Radha does. Radha knows that her son has allowed someone( Madhu) to come in his life after such a long time, so she sees a hope in Madhu that someday she will be able to make her son understand that she still loves him. Its just a motherly wish, hoping against hope that someday, her son will see her beyond her flaws. Moreover, we are yet not aware of her side of story which pushed her to second marriage. So lets c how this angle is played out.

today i hated radhaji! d characterisation is so selfish. as soon as she realizes that her rishu is getting close to his wife, she's not happy for d poor girl. she has seen how dis girl was insulted n humiliated by her son. she is not happy even for a sec for this girl. Not even for her son who has started living again. instead she starts dreaming of d day when he'll call her mom! she's so self-centred (if one wants to be magnanimous). and d lady was over acting ka dukhan. one side we have drashti doing a restrained act (with sorrow at heart but trying to make MIL happy) n on d other side we have this lady acting OTT! today i couldn't watch her. my tolerance level just went down today.

next scene we have padmini. dis lady has major problem at home (though self induced) but first thing when her daughter calls abt their family problems, she first advises her to think of her own life n not to worry abt her mom's home. her genuine happiness and her immediate response is to tell her to take care of herself n her husband and not to worry abt anythingelse. (no personal dreams here!)

what a contrasting mother characterisation! cvs shd realize radhaji is definitely not garnering any sympathy from d audience. if i were RK, i wdn't live with them - even 'janam denewali aurat' too!

or did d cvs deliberately make her like that! that's something to ponder!

The way I see it,
Radhaji lost her first husband. Horrible. Instead of facing up to that situation and working to make a life for her young son she decided to run away from the problem and married some other guy immediately after the whole thing. Her excuse ? Her son needed a dad. Um...lady did you ask him that? What mother doesn't ask or think about her son's opinion before re-marrying , let alone a son who is still grieving over his dad? Sorry not buying it
Second,instead of giving him space to come to terms with her marriage, instead of understanding how hurtful it is for him to see her with some other guy, she literally pushes it into his face by coming and staying with him and bringing the whole cavalcade with her. Not very mother like again

She caressing Madhu and hugging her- So what? That makes her a good person and not a good mom. She would have been a good mom if she had put her energies into bringing that about
She happy that her son is getting love? Again decent person. She immediately seeing this as a sign that her son will come back to her and hinting that Madhu can do it-Not even a good person. Mam do not come forward with your personal problems to others when they have just received wonderful news. That's called being an opportunist. Just being happy for them is enough

The way I see it, this lady wants it all but doesn't want to work for anything, prefers mooching off someone. And she is quick to jump to any tree which looks good to her

Now Pads. Pads when faced with a difficult situation, took both Madhu and Trishna who isn't even her own daughter and had the courage to flee to Mumbai and make a life there. Contrast this with point No 1 in Radha's case.
Pads not only made a life in Mumbai she also has doe everything she can in her power to support Malik and his family, the ones who gave her shelter in the first place- Loyalty and gratitude and this woman works for the people she cares about
Pads still cares for Ballu in some twisted way-KC, her purely platonic feelings towards Malik anyone?
But she was mother enough to put aside her personal feelings for her children, mother enouh to leave Ballu and come to Mumbai for her children, mother enough to let some other guy take the place of dad in her children's life and that's what this all boils down too

To quote RK"Love has to be earned , not begged" . Radhaji wants her son's love but has she ever done something to justify getting it? Every decision she has made has been for herself not for her son.And she still keeps saying I'm your mom, love me beta
Even Kuku doesn't love her because she obviously doesn't give a damn for him

Pads has her children's love because everything in her life has been for them. She has always thought about them, worked for the. Pads has Maliks love because she has cared for him,maybe out of gratitude, but cared for him nonetheless. She has always stood by him. So he loves her

Radhaji isn't loved because she doesn't deserve it. Pads does. Simple

my POV. ..

radhaji is a dependant women coz she couldn't handle her husband' s death n married coz she thought she can't handle herself n her son coz she is weak..also she was too used to b dependant on someone or other. .only coz of that she Is not even shooing dipali also even after knowing her games. .as Madhu is new n too good to b in their family which is too self centered she started relying on her for solving her problems...

she is basically a weak women from beginning of the show. .but yah that character is too emotional n purely sentimental ..n can b manipulated easily..

where as paddy from beginning she though depended on shammu n roma but she started working n also brought up her daughters herself with help but not completely dependant. hence her thought processes is bit different n the best part is either right or wrong she thinks from her heart n mind .though listens to other she ultimately follows what she wants...that's how she was shown from beginning n madhu is exactly same


hence it's natural that their way of reaction is different for the situation. .n it ought to b like that...

though sometimes both ladies irritates but they r good..n mostly paddy a little more
