rk and madhu: what??
khushi: no ways!!
arnav: (smirks) i told you , leave it miss khushi kumari gupta. you can't challenge me.
khushi: it's not like that!!! you have a very stupid notion mr. arnav singh raizada that you can't be defeated. let me show you.
arnav: then go ahead and complete the bet.
khushi :(looked at madhu who clearly looked too nervous and shook her head in a big no)
arnav: (to rk) leave it rk , i think she's already lost before starting it. i told you girls only say things.
rk pushed a slight smile on his face but it was not due to the khushi-arnav fight going on but because of the shocked-to-death look on madhu's face. somewhere they both knew that arnav had greater chances of winning.
khushi: FINE!!!
madhu: (shouts) no!!! (to khushi) have you lost it?? how can you accept the bet khushi?
khushi: so you too think that i am gonna loose it??
madhu: no...it's not like that khushi but your conditions are weird.
khushi: trust me madhu, we are gonna win. (looks at miss della) so are you ready to kiss arnav?
miss della blushes and arnav raises an eyebrow while rk gives her a distusting look.
khushi: ready!!! (winks at miss della)
rk : (smirks) me too ready to kiss her.
madhu: (shocked) what??? i am gonna kiss you when hell freezes over.
rk : who asked for you permission (winks)
madhu gasped at him all shocked!!!
madhu: i not a part of this stupid bet!!!
madh started to walk off from there but was stopped by dipali.
dipali: (said out loud for everyone to listen clearly) i understand madhu. you thought khushi to be your friend but she is such a cheater . i feel sorry and want to help you. if you want then i can take your place...i mean rk can kiss me is khushi looses.
madhu clearly understood what she meant. not that she wanted to kiss rk but she even didn't wanted any other girl to kiss him.
madhu: thanks for you concern but khushi is my best friend and she has done nothing wrong and i am sure that she is gonna win the bet. so i guess i don't need your help this time.
before any of them could say anything madhu went to her room.
at night:
madhu was sleeping peacefully in her bed when she heard little noise outside.
madhu dismissed it thinking to be a cat or any other thing and pretended to be asleep as she didn't wanted to open her eyes.
madhu: (slightly whispered) khushi!!
but she got no response. so she slightly moved her hand forward and touched the bed where khushi was supposed to be asleep. but it was empty.
madhu quickly got up and tried to switch on the lights but they weren't glowing at all. suddenly the door creaked open and she saw a figure entering her room. it was clearly of a girl and she was wearing long robes. madhu felt all paralysed. she wanted to scream but voice dried up i her throat.
madhu: who...who are you???
no reply and the figure was now more closer to her.
madhu: WITCH OF WINTER???
but before madhu could scream the figure grabbed her by arms and spoke in a voice which relaxed her.
hi!! it's me !!!
madhu: (shocked and angry) khushi!!!
khushi: (innocently) yes!!
khushi then lighted the candles on candle stand. now there was dim but enough light in the room. madhu glanced at khushi who was wearing a long cloak and had a scissors in her hand.
khushi: tada!!!
madhu: what on the earth are you doing like this and at this time of night??
khushi: trying to save you from rk!!
madhu: what??
khushi: look you need to help me to win our bet.
madhu: and how??
khushi: you got scared na??
madhu: yes,but...
khushi: no if's and but. i just wanted to test this on you. and now time for that mr. arnav singh raizada. (pulls her from bed) now come on!!
madhu: but how can i??
khushi: i suspect you yourself want to loose the bet and then...ahem!!
madhu: shut up khushi. i only asked because it is too dark and i am afraid of dark.
khushi: and it's the essential for my story. (shows her scissors in her hands)
madhu: you ...you cut off the power supply??
khushi proudly nods her head in a big acceptance.
khushi: now go and take this. (gives a artificial rubber rat to her)
madhu: and what??
khushi: i will go to arnav's room. you need to scare anyone at corridors using this. and do not let anyone enter the room when i am inside. did you get that?? and yes take this torch.
madhu sighed at the sight if torch. finally there was something to save her.
so madhu went ahead to stairs and she desperately wanted this night to end soon and with khushi's win.
madhu waited there on stairs and started to feel sleepy but suddenly woke when she realised that someone was coming upstairs. though initially she had to frighten that person but as soon as the footsteps cam closer madhu decided that it was good to save herself first. so she hid behind the wall and waited for the person to pass by her. as soon as the person came she threw that mouse but unfortunately the person caught that mouse.
what is this??
madhu: miss della??
della: was this mouse meant to scare me??
madhu: er...i guess so.
della: try it again dear.
madhu: but why are you here??
della: oh i forgot to telll you. i am here to help you and khushi (blushes)
madhu: that's good but we are not planning it tonight.
della: then why this? (shows her the rubber mouse squashed in her hand)
madhu : oh that was to scare khushi . actually we are preparing for tomorrow.
della: but i don't think this will work.
madhu: yes but this is for our basic level training.
della: okay . goodnight.
soon she went away and madhu was relieved that she stopped her from entering the room.
inside the room : khushi entered the room but it was already lit with different candles of different sizes.
khushi looked around but didn't found neither arnav nor rk.
soon she started to get nervous with the atmosphere.
madhu was still waiting outside when someone tumbled on the flower was breaking it into thousand pieces. madhu was frightened by the sudden noise and ran in opposite direction only to knock someone rather hard and tall. horrified by sudde n turn of events madhu let out a scream.
AAAHHH!!!!!!!!
and then she tightly shut her eyes and decided to open only next morning. but that person was too shocked by her behavior and grabbed her hands.
rk : what happened??? madhu it's me and why are you screaming???
madhu recognised the voice but continued crying for help.
madhu: help!! help!!
rk : (pulled her closer to him) shut up!! and now open your eyes!!
madhu: no!! i know it's not you rk but someone with his voice.
rk :(smiles at her stupid behavior) i said open your eyes madhu!!
madhu: (continued kicking and pushing him though it was of little use) no i won't !! rk is in his room.
rk : (pins her to the wall) if you don't open your eyes within next five seconds then i know may other ways to open your eyes.
madhu realises that it is truly him as only he can give such threat. so she opens her eyes and sees his innocent face in dim light. he had pinned her to wall and had her torch also.
he moved a inch closer and her heart started to pound heavily.
inside the room:
khushi heard a scream and it was probably of madhu. khushi rushed outside but her sight stopped dead at a place.
arnav was lying there unconscious and ther was blood on his clothes, face and floor too.
khushi was stumped and didn't knew how to react.
she quickly rushed to his side and tried to wake him up.
khushi: arnav!!! get up!! du you hear me??? get up!!
tears were building up in her eyes and she felt her heart sinking.
khushi: arnav please!! you can't do this!!! i need you , we all need you... you are my friend please i don't want to loose you...please!!!
HELP!!!! PLEASE!!
madhu: what are you doing here??
rk : i guess preparing for my first child (winks)
madhu: what??
rk : just look around it's all dark. so i went downstairs to check and bring some candles. but what are you doing??
madhu: er...err i was...
rk : so excited about loosing bet?
madhu: what?? no!!!
rk then came a little more closer to her. but suddenly they heard khushi's scream and few seconds later khushi came running towards them.
rk : what happened??
khushi was half crying half sobbing and hugged madhu tightly.
madhu: is everything alright??
khushi: arnav...arnav... (she pointed to his room)
all three rushed to his room but there were no candles and neither any sign of arnav.
khushi: he was here!!! and he was bleeding.
soon lights came and many other students were also present by now. khushi was trying to explain about arnav but no one seemed to believe her. suddenly they heard someone.
i don't think so.
they all turned around to see arnav standing and it didn't looked if he was injured or bleeding.
khushi quickly went and hugged him.
khushi: thank god!! you are alright!! you are safe!!
but suddenly she pulled back and again said - you are safe?? but this time there was a change in her voice.
rk looked at arnav and they both burst into laughter.
madhu: what is this??
rk : sorry dear but we won the bet. we scared khushi.
and then they again broke into laughter along with other students in room.
khushi felt hurt and she ran to her room. rk and arnav stopped laughing. but madhu was still not done. she had to give both of them some piece of mind.
arnav: what's wrong with her??
madhu: WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU TWO?? HOW COULD YOU PLAY WITH HER EMOTIONS FOR JUST A STUPID LITTLE BET??
everyone felt silent as madhu was exploding with anger.
RK , YOU TOO WERE INVOLVED IN ALL THIS. ONLY I WAS A FOOL, I THOUGHT THAT BOTH OF YOU RESPECT GIRLS AND THEIR EMOTIONS BUT I GUESS YOU TOO ARE LIKE ALL OTHERS.
(to arnav) DO YOU HAVE THE SLIGHTEST NOTION OF HOW AFRAID SHE WAS FOR YOU ?? AND HOW MUCH YOU HAVE HURT HER?? leave it!! cause you will never understand.
madhu too stormed out of the room.
arnav looked at rk and now it was time for them to say sorry to someone.
