I think we can use that only if we find someone just come with their Mahan gyan just not watching the show n want to share their knowledge just on the basis of articles. ..coz I found such useless posts lot of times..they come here just to boost their favorite stars n show above this show n stars

but those who r genuinely stick to criticism... (n I mean not mocking or, bashing) should b treated with due respect. ..coz they r just saying their heartout...

I also said same not to use this statements many Times...coz anyhow firstly no one listent to u n secondly it's nothing but trying to force them with ur liking n POV which u can't n shouldn't...

hope anyone understood what I want to say...

actually I supported TM

Thanks for a very sensible post.

I guess this being an open forum has its drawbacks as well. Hiding behind an ID gives one a safe anonymity. And, with that anonymity comes the questionable courage to be rude, mocking and mean.
Add to that an ill-developed maturity and we have a disaster at hand.

Years ago, when IF was still n its infancy, the members were a very sensible lot. They actually recognised this place for what it is...a discussion form where like minded people came to appreciate, vent, enjoy and debate on their favourite shows and actors.

Sadly, that's no longer the case. I'm still scratching my head over the reason.

The current scenario reminds me of those kids in the novel Lord of The Flies. Unless the Mods put their collective foot down and implement certain rules, no one here is going to be introspective enough to realise that they are wrong and correct themselves.

I was a member when IF was at its infancy stages and I won't go to the extent of saying, it is completely no longer the case. I've seen several sensible members and intelligent posts now, just as I have seen stupid and foolish things then. Of course, the quantity of both have increased, because the number of members have increased!

Again, as I mentioned earlier, not a fan on Mods implementing rules since I believe that goes against what a forum should be in the first place. I'm a believer in free speech and self-regulation!

But this is the problem with IF in general since ages...if only I had a penny for everytime I've been told this on various forums over the years, I'd be a millionaire by now😆

Sadly fangirl-ism doesn't in general seem to allow for any constructive criticism...the concept of DISCUSSION seems to escape a few that seem to think that a show needs to be watched only to blindly appreciate every aspect of it.

You've explained very sensibly what contributes to good discussion on a forum👍🏼...hopefully people will follow that.

That said, this forum isn't AS bad in that sense yet...lol...there's some good discussion topics...I'm of the opinion that a good story and strong set of characters provide good basis for discussions...so far this show has tried to show a story alongside all the romance that the audience craves in general too so the posts haven't been just about drooling over romance.

I completely agree. This problem isn't as bad in this forum and they are some good, intelligent discussion topics. But I just thought, it made sense to address this issue at the onset rather than wait for it to aggravate. Evidently, it has pissed more people as well.

I am going to bookmark this post in all seriousness...and with your permission use it in future. You have very sensibly and analytically said the exact same thing I have wanted to say all these years to the members on I-F who so kindly have advised me to "not watch" the shows. What they don't get is that I wouldn't be here if I weren't watching the show. Just because I don't like aspects of it doesn't mean I am a hater ... *rolls eyes* With diverse points of view, extremism is paramount on I-F - thankfully that's why we had mods. Somedays I truly pity their jobs! On that note, here's raising a glass to the mods of all threads. 👍🏼
