It has been one week since annie and rk met . It was monday morning but there was something unusual about it . Something was going to happen and she even dreamt about rk yesterday.
At office :
(at reception) phone rings...
receptionist : hello ?
seema ji : hello my self seema malhotra . can i talk to madhu malhotra?
receptionist : ma'am she is in boss's cabin right now. if there is any important message you can give it to me , i will tell her later.
seema ji : Ok , just tell her that i have to leave for chandigarh right now , so i won't be able to pick annie from bus stop . please ask her to take a half day leave as i won't be able to call due to low battery of my phone.
receptionist : sure ma'am.
half an hour later receptionist enquires about madhu but comes to know that she has already left . she tires to contact her but fails . later she herself gets busy with other office work. Though madhu left office but she didn't went home but she rather went to a client's home.
Unknowing to madhu and badi maa , the bus -driver left annie alone at bus stop as sometimes badi maa came a little late to pick annie. Little annie stood there wondering and waiting for badi maa.
Whereas rk and bittuji were returning from studio and were driving through delhi roads cause they were gearing for an outdoor shoot the next day. Rk was driving shiny black car with tinted windows and bittuji was sitting beside him feeling little uncomfortable.
Rk :(irritated) is this were we will shoot bittuji ? Look the traffic and condition of roads !!!
bittuji : don't worry chief we will shoot at the dawn , you just relax.
Little annie was getting impatient minute by minute and suddenly she started to cry ...relax annie , she thought to herself and decided to go home all by herself.
annie : (to herself) but annie you don't even know how to cross the road !!! doesn't matters, how many times you have seen oswald and winnie crossing the road.
annie started to cross the road , the traffic was very heavy and she was looking only at her left side. at halfway her wter bottle fell down and she ran back to pick it SREEECH !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! a car just stopped inches near her. Her face went pale and numb at this sudden accident and people started to gather around her.
In the car :
rk : oh gosh !! as if all this was not enough!!! who left this child on road ?
bittuji : don't worry chief . i will go out and check. you don't come out otherwise things can go out of control . you never know these media persons , they are always searching for breaking news.
rk : hurry up bittuji and bring the child here.
The tiny man rushes towards the crowd and sees annie crying.
bittuji : annie beta you??
bittuji asks annie to come with him . a person from crowd asks bittu whether he knows her to which bittu replies that he was her uncle. annie then goes to car with rk . rk is surprised on seeing her and says sorry to her.she sits at seat beside rk . rk decides to take her to doctor to get check up done. don't know why but he felt possessive for her.
rk : (thinking) : years ago an accident like this brought madhu in my life . years later i wish this accident brings you in my life again.
At hospital doctor told rk that annie was fine but needed a little rest so she was sleeping. rk had asked bittuji to find annie's mother's number from her school diary and to inform her.
Madhu was on her way upto her floor in lift when her phone ringed . it flashed a unknown number.
madhu : hello?
bittuji : hello are you madhu malhotra, ananya's mother ?
madhu stood numb for a second as though she had recognised the voice but shook her head thinking it to be a mere coincidence.
madhu : yes,
bittuji : your daughter is with us at city hospital sh...
madhu : (shocked) what?? annie !! is she all right !
bittuji : yes , actually she was crossing the road all alone when she just came in front of our car..
madhu : (angry ) you careless drivers !! can't you see a little girl...
bittuji : we are really sorry ma'am but first of all come here as soon as possible.
madhu : ok , iam on my way there...
madhu just rushes to city hospital unknown of her fate, unknown to the fact that she was not going to meet annie only but someone else also...
