@SD - I couldn't agree with you more about the pacing. The events of this day could have easily been spread over several days lending it a little more realism if you get what I mean. I was joking with Sonu about how this is probably the real reason for the sari drama. DD was probably upset at her lack of wardrobe changes so to allow her to change her outfits more consistently they added the sari drama. One day, 4 different outfits! Quite the change for someone that's often seen in the same outfit for weeks on end.

See they have this kind of pacing on American soaps too. I mean sometimes the actors are in the same outfit on the same day forever, in fairness there are so many stories going on at the same time that airtime wise it's probably not that long but when that day passes we usually jump forward some time. We don't need to see every single day in their lives. I mean Madhu and RK have been married since August right? By the show's timeline we're probably only in the 4th week of marriage?

@seduction track - I'm with Partner if this happens, I'll be checking out and resubscribing to HBO. The first thing I thought of when I read this early this morning before heading off to work was Days of Our Lives back in the 90s.. Sami drugged her sister's boyfriend Austin, tricked him into sleeping with her (he thought he was with Carrie, his girlfriend). Carrie sees them, misunderstanding ensue. Sami gets pregnant, she has everyone believe it's Austin's baby, more misunderstandings, turns out the baby was actually Lucas' (long story, enemy of Sami at the time, was in love with Carrie, I can't remember why they slept together.. I was only a kid sheesh lol)

@Zoya - I really liked your post, I had much of the same feelings about the scenes and RK turning sweet. Especially at the part where RK is realizing that he wants that adoration for him in his biwi's eyes, he doesn't want to be the bad boy anymore. What a change from the man that once told her to remember that he's a janwar.

He has been deprived for real, pure, honest love for so long. Seeing her defend her father he sees something in her that he wants for himself. Who wouldn't want someone in their corner that would love them unconditionally and so purely. I loved the scene where he kicked the chairs and finally shouted what he wanted to say to his biwi all along.

@romantic scenes - were they not supposed to be looking a bit uncomfortable though? I don't know, perhaps I read them a little differently. (agreeing with my Partner here...)

@Siri - I'm here! Thanks for asking about me. Just had a long day, had some things I had to take care of and was avoiding IF so I could get things done. Aside from which I didn't get to watch the episode properly until tonight. I couldn't agree with you more about RK changing.. It looks like Madhu got all the wardrobe changes this day for a change lol

Thanks for recapping the day for us Siri lol... I don't think this much happened when General Hospital did their special a few years back during November sweeps and each days episode was another hour of the night (I want to say it was 12 hours total) like the show 24.

@Soundaraya - excellent post, although I must say that I don't entirely agree with Dips knowing RK as well as Madhu, I think Madhu has the advantage there. Dips knows a few surface things about him, but for the most part Madhu (until the past few days I suppose) has shown a keen sense of knowing him as a man better than Dipzy. I do love your theory that the seduction track though. I must admit I quickly checked IF to see if there was any good news to be blindsided by the seduction headline and instantly wished I had not even bothered to check the forum until after work. I will be okay with it as long as it's not actually a seduction scene and it's very diluted version of what people are imagining and it's so he can realize that he doesn't care about her and has truly let her go.

whew.. that took me a while.. this is what happens when you're absent from the board all day..

Madhu mentioning where Padmani ran from (I couldn't catch the name of the town she's from). But the dramatic music there and the shot of RK's face at that moment. Any significance you think in Madhu specifically mentioning where her biological father is from and RK's reaction?
