Himbin,

Excellent note. 😃 Now I wanna go home and watch the episode myself.

Things that I like and are interesting to ponder:
  • Seriously, why doesn't Radhaji have any confidence in her son ? Why does she have to go and beg sorry on his behalf with others. This lady lacks conviction in herself and GAVE UP on her son as "GONE". In contrast, Madhu, not a mother and yet believes in herself and sees through RK and wants him to acknowledge what he doesn't want for the world to know. Madhu just refuses to GIVE UP on a man who is not yet considered as a full-fledged husband by her. Its been ages since RK spoke to his mother.. They have been cut off for so long a time that she doesn't know her real son anymore and all that RK spews is venom... But with Madhu, somehow he has let his guard down a bit and let her see the Rishabh behind RK.. And she witnessed his face-off with Bappa too... So she refuses to give up...
  • Do you really think Padmini has started to cut through RK's facade ? If yes, then its a case of Like Mother Like daughter. While on Padmini, how come only she is representing Chawl party in RK's stretcher trip to hospital. Need to check tomorrow ... I don't know whether she has cut thro' RK's facade but ya she does know that he can be nice when he wants to... He brought Madhu home straight after the studio night; he didn't have to do that but he did so... Then he personally oversaw Malik's treatment- she is grateful to him for that... Women generally tend to soften when someone does them a lil good and overlook the bad the person did to them in the past... RK bore Shamsher's expenses. It might have been a barter for him but still he paid for it and actually did more than what was reqd also.. So she being a woman would not want anything bad to happen to the person who helped them and more importantly he is her daughter's suhaag.. .. Women are very touchy about such things

I dont like it when RK makes fun of his sasuma and sasurji.. Why is he always taunting their relationship? Its not as if they are having an illicit affair... If only he taunts Dipzy in the same way, then half his problems will be solved...

Maybe he is angry bcos like DV said he thinks badly of her because Pads left her husband and is living with another guy, like his mother..

WOW!!!! APPLICATION OF FORCE HAS NEVER WON LOVE or FAITH

Madhu sees that today. Rishabh made her realize that. Good!
Madhu does not relent. She now wants her Bappa to help her in taking RK down.
Bad!!!

Madhu needs to understand that every person has a personal equation with God and that is as private as other precious things of our life. She cannot tresspass that sanctity.

Coming to episode analysis...

Finally RK gave everything back to Madhu.

He had been reticent to some extent allowing his wife to celebrate the festival. He believed she would not bother him and let him be living in his room the way he wants, not celebrating.
He had been in "katti" with his Bappa for years now. Its a relationship turned sour. But there was a rishta quietly and fiercely guarded.

But Madhu had to interfere.

Madhu had to be the religioius extremist. She needs everyone to follow the ritualistic traditions. For her believing in Ganapati:
is tying the mouli
Eating the Modak
Particpating in Aarti
Partaking the feast prepared ih Bappa's honour.

Rishabh does not do any of these. So does that make him any less believer ? He had a dialogue with Bappa when no one was around. It was a private one. Some people converse with God in all privacy. He may be angry with Bappa, but when his friend came to stay at his house he allowed him to stay as his other family members wanted him to. He did not let the Akhand Jyoti get extinguished. Small gestures of "atithi Satkaar"

Had Madhu let RK alone, none of the drama would have resulted.
She should not have challenged him to come and partake meals or leave things deliberately in the room. That was a COERCIVE TACTIC. Never helps to gain faith. Instead it serves some of us to become more stubborn.
So RK does the Kabab drama.

And the chawl drama
The Biwi does not stop making it public about RK's attempts at saving the flame. With that act she inflames Rishabh to become the bad boy and off he takes her to chawl and does what he has to do...to teach her to stay away from rubbing her UNSOLICITED OPINIONS on HIM

I liked it 👏 👏 👏 👏 👏👏 👏

I have never liked people being forced to observe rituals. Rituals are just means of expression. And Expression happens in countless ways. So why stick to few types, few imaginations.

The Hindi word of POMP...is AADAMBAR. Could not remember if Rishabh/RK used it or not. But he definitely used Tamasha.

So relieved that finally RK and Rishabh spoke today. It was RK speak in the chawl. But it was actually RISHABH KUNDRA who was enacting all the performance.

Since Rishabh Kundra is already a believer, he doesn't need any chamatkar. Its just the battle of wills. Bappa's event, his giant image is enough to invoke all memories within Rishabh. Its then just a fight between happiness and bitterness that the memories provide. Whichever weighs higher on his emotional scale, he is gonna do that.

Eagerly waiting for tomorrow's episode.

Going by today's episode, Madhu has come out as much less explored character. She is a unidimensional character with only one set of principles. Whereas RK has a multi-dimensional personality with rounded characteristics. If Madhu is planning to beat RK, she not only needs integrity of her character, she needs a bit of higher intelligence which wil help her evolve a thought process that matches Rishabh's true argument and RK's sophistry.

yeah! I agree with himbin. He does it purposefully to hurt people and to maintain his bad-boy image. And in a way, he is being right. Definitions should be correct. If Madhu's parents relationship was pure and platonic, they would not have crestfallen faces like Padmini always has. Its not difficult to live by your rules if completely believe it to be apt and correct. How much time it takes Padmini to say, no we are not man and wife and yet she always keeps quiet. Why ? Guys, that was just rhetorical, I don't want any explanations. I am quite smug about what I think in Malik-Padmini's case.

SD, Nice post..

I agree with you that Madhu should not have provoked RK. He then he had to relatiate to save his bad boy image..

I dont think that Madhu was forcing his belief since RK was a believer before.. He still believes in Bappa, although he isnt willing to acknowledge it openly and more improtantly to himself.. To my way of thinking, she was trying to make him see that he is wrong in his thinking.. There is a difference between the two I think.. She just wants him to acknowledge to himself that he still has some feelings for Bappa..

True Sonu. She wanted him to acknowledge his feelings for Bappa. But again, how much does she know of RK that she thinks of doing something of that sort for him. It was too premature of her. Madhu at this mental level is fit for Mukund kind of person rather than RK level.
