Kisi ko pata nahin chalta yeh tareef thi yah phir BBB 😆 Lekin joh bhi ho DD was good today 👍🏼

Ok getting to your question. I am Hindu, although not from India still celebrate Ganesh Chathurti. In fact tomorrow is visarjan. So Ganapti Chathurti is a 10 day festival in which traditionally after performing Gauri Pooja, a Ganesh murti is made of mud/clay from the sea. He is consecrated at one's home/mandir with great pomp and grandeur which is essentially what RK and his dad would do, that is bring Ganapati Bappa's murti home. Then she talks about RK and the way he would make Modhak. Modhak is Ganapati Bappa's favorite sweet dish. Hence it is made a lot during this period.
Ganapati visarjan is basically carrying the murti back to the sea and placing it so that it returns to the elements which symbolically means you are placing him back to where he came from. It is synonymous to the birth of Lord Ganesh.
Hope you can get a general idea from this.
As for your take on DDs acting, I disagree. I think she isn't overacting and she has done enough years of acting now to not over act. In my opinion she is doing complete justice to the role.
