BUT...question is...
RK says, he cannot hear as he is not in Radio related occupation. He sees as he in cinema.

Then how come, he gets to know what is happening downstairs ? How does he know that Padmini has come to visit them ? His house is so big that he cannot be hearing it and its not that he has eyes behind his head also. Is it a case like the elephant that he can sense smells, or like the rhinos sense movement...I mean HOW does he know. What kind of communication channel he has...

And why the selective omiscience ? When MB is bugged by Sikky or Dips, his senses do not awake. But when MB gets cozy with his mom, Kukkuji, Pads, he is all "antennae up"

May be its the case of Plot-Hole.

FQ need a name for RK's mansion like you coined Improbalistan for the Natraj Studio.

I think all incidents with Rads, Pads or Kukuji happened in the main hall.. So RK gets to know.. Its like the Great Hall in HP books... Nothing is secret there.. The other incidents with Dikky or Dips happened only in Madhu's or Dips room.. So the golden rule for Madhu here is that she shouldnt attempt to do anything in the Great Hall if she doesnt want to get caught..

Have work tomorrow.. Dont know how much I will be able to participate in the META discussion.. But I will join you whenever I get time.. Will read this thread and FQnama tomorrow..

PS. read your conversation on BB's eye... Hilarious.. I was also wondering what it was.. I thought it was Colour's new way to show precaps (It was only shown before precaps..) I read the real reason too and now your suggestions sound very funny.. Your went from Bappa's third eye (I didnt even know he had a third eye.. I thought only Shiva had one.. But then I only know so much about Hindu gods...) to mass hypnotism.. FQ, I always knew your imagination has no limits but SD, what happened to you?

Akkal ghaas charne gaya in MBLand. 😆 They show so many plot holes and stinks, then tend to always make me feel that I am going to see the most idiotic Dunciad ever I could have imagined.
Isn't the Bappa track ridiculous enough ? It seems they are running out of ideas on what all things could have hurt RK so that they show track after track. Ab yeh koi sherlock holmes ki detective story to nahin ki, MB sherlock ban jaaye and find out...what secret next to dig for Mr.Mystery Man RK !!!!

Seriously, other than for them to make them fall in love next ...the pain angle is not going to work within the soap format. 🤓 . They should put a stop to his mysticism and concentrate on a progressive story-line.

Waise bhi...janta sees the show for RK-MB screen time...together.😳

P.S: Hear you. Don't worry. You have Sunday. Discussion open for 2 days. I am not gonna participate now. Later ...may be afternoon tomorrow. I too gotta take care of few chores.

Whatever Third Eye of RK Baba was super !!! 🤣 Solves the mystery for me.

Of Faith and God

Disclaimer: This post is not intended to offend the religious sentiments of any who may happen to come across this post. I have taken the liberty to analyse the characters in this post with reference to my own beliefs. So you might come across some Christian quotes or beliefs in my posts. I do not know enough about Hindu religion and its beliefs to talk about it.

So now that you know what to expect in this post, let me move on.

This show portrays two characters who, to me, differ in their faith. What is marked is their approach to God in times of trouble- One turned away from God, while the other kept walking with God.

RK. Until he was 12-years old, he lead a life of happiness. No sorrow touched him. Then the tough times came. When the misfortune struck, his faith was also gone. He forgot that God had given him a family to be born into. He forgot that God had given him parents who had loved him and cared for him. He forgot that God had given him parents with whom he was happy. One day with no reason God had taken it all away. It was a sad day when his father committed suicide and a sad day when his mother remarried. The tragedies in his life left him disappointed with God. To him, God had taken away his happiness. He closed his heart to pain and to God. Later, he went on to be a successful movie star. But in the whole process, he became a hard man and turned his face away from God.

What does that show of his faith in the first place? Its always easy to say you believe in God and praise Him when you have no worries in life. When you are happy and lead a carefree life. The true test of your faith comes when you start to face trials in your life. What is the first question that arises in your mind in difficult times: "Why me?" That was exactly the question what RK asked God. "Why me?". God had blessed RK and RK, in turn, had thanked God for every blessing He had given him. Why, then, was God so cruel towards him and take away what was very precious to him? God gave and God took it away. Did that take away any of his pain? No.

Let me quickly move on to the second character I want to talk about: Padmini. Like RK she had her share of sufferings in life. But unlike RK, her tragedies didnt turn her away from God. Instead it brought her closer to Him. It takes great strength of character to stand firm in your faith in times of trouble. Its easier in such situations to blame God for every tragedy in your life. And it takes great faith to walk with God and to accept His will. It takes great strength to say: "Not my will, but Your will."

Was RK's faith so fickle that he forgot the various blessings that God had given him and continues to give him? Its difficult to answer. He was young when it happened. His understanding of God and His works were limited.

Sonu,

your post on FAITH, excellent. Well put.

Just adding my two cents in story's context.

1) The 12 boy was too young to understand faith.
2) A 12 year old child is too young to keep a grudge.
3) Does a 12 child know the concept of betrayal ?
4) A 12 old child can absolutely feel that he has been abandoned including his God .
5) Can a 12 year old feel his abandonment as being FORSAKEN by ALL including his God ?

Fine his father left him, he is consternated, shocked and he closes that picture forever in his mind. Acceptable.
Fine his mother remarried, he is angry. And I'm really not sure for what reason he is angry. Is he angry because that man was touching his mom ? A sense of righteous possession betrayed ? Is it that or something else ? Later on the problems could have sharing his mother with Sikky...

I believe that RK is not in a state of debating FAITH in GANESHA
I believe that RK is in a state of ANGER at everyone who abandoned him.
He does not have yet the understanding to think that he was forsaken by all. He is just reeling under the abandoned feeling.

Abandonment breeds Fear
Forsaken state breeds state of being hopeless, no hope of retribution and being afraid of the forlorn state.

And hence I guess, this whole Ganesha track not be misconstrued as effort on regaining faith etc. IMO, the track should give him relief that infact he was never abandoned ... a portion of anger going away.

Why I don't like this track is because, it opens up a can of worms on religious sentiments and perceptions of all sorts.

RK as a child doesnt have much understanding of faith.. Thats why when he was alone and his prayers werent answered, he felt that he has been abandoned by God.. Its difficult for me to explain what I want to say next without talking of my religious sentiments. A child is taught to look at Jesus not only as the Son of God, but also as a friend. The child can talk to Him like he does to a friend and thats what a child does in prayer. Open your heart out to Him, ask Him for every big and small things that he wants. I dont know how much my christian faith corresponds with yours, but like I said, my interpretation has been based only on my beliefs. Until the day his father died, whatever he had asked for, he got.. Suddenly one day, the child receives no answer to his prayers. He feels the sense of abandonment and betrayal by a good friend. Not only that since the child knows his friend is also God, omnipotent and omnipresent, he finds it difficult to understand why his prayers arent answered. The boy knows God can give him everything that he is asking for. The boy knows God can see what he is going through. The boy also doesnt understand what it was that he did that God is no longer listening to his prayers. What does a child know about 'Not my will, but Your will'? If there is no one to make him understand and teach him about God, he is bound to feel forsaken by God too.
