I recall some posts before too, making such comparisons. We are in the minority but I am not the only one feeling some similarities. May be not intentionally, but some elements are definitely there. I'm trying to understand why they chose to include this Mukund track, when there were so many other ways of exploiting/developing the concept with which they shot the initial promos. People had some different kind of expectations from the show, that's why some of them are disappointed.

Oh, some aspects are lacking but I definitely like the show. Hope they improve to keep the viewers hooked.

100%AGREE WITH YOU. they have to concentrate on leads. i always feel MB is too sidelined.
please give enough screen space to them. trp will defenetly increase.

thanks for sharing, he is right audience shd taste new shows with new concept accept those saas bahu shows. I aslo think now youth based shows like EHMMBH, IPKKND, are also appreciated our show is having unique concept.

The director finds it tough to handle new concepts...why?

I hadn't heard of him prior to MB and Googled to find out more. He's directed shows like Uttaran and BALH. While both have done well on the trp charts, does that really make him the best choice for an entirely new concept like MB? Don't the former belong to the saas bahu genre?

True, some aspects are lacking in the show.Some of you feel there's nothing wrong with the direction..but I feel otherwise. Direction isn't limited to a person telling an actor what to do and how to do it, right?
He is responsible for every aspect of the show as he's the leader of his team..which includes the DOP, script writer, costumes et al...

In my opinion, if some things are lacking it's his responsibility to fix them and if he can't, he ought to say so to the PH.

By tweeting that it's tough to do new things, is not going to increase the hopes and confidence of the viewers or his cast and crew.

PS: Going by today's episode, I wouldn't be surprised if they decide to shelve the marriage proposal. Why would MB even give it a thought if she doesn't love Mukund.? We were told that her family would choose her over Trishna...that didn't happen...well, actually we don't know what happened since they forgot to show it...or decide not to, at the last minute. Same may be the case with Mukund's mom's proposal...may be that's what the poor guy meant when he used the word 'tough'...having to change course mid-stream.
