Maddam Sir team should be hella proud of their dedicated fans. While due to IPL every other show's TRP is being fluctuated, Maddam Sir has maintained consistency. That's something to be darn proud of!. 👏🥳

Yup! This consistency means that the 0.6 trp only includes those fans and viewers who are not part of the regular tv-serial and cricket watching families. Means the rest of their audience, the normal ppl, watch at other times or on other platforms. If all of their audience watched on tv, trp would be above 1.0

True, unfortunately, we, the international viewers, are pretty much useless in this area as we can't contribute to the TRPs. Whoever has come up with this should re-evaluate the TRP system so that the international viewership can count too.

agreed. the online fandom of the show are probably a huge bulk of those who would contribute to the increased trp but live outside of India.

Well not only outside India. In India as well majority of people watch this show online. This show has very popular online fanbase. If TRP system was different, I can assume that this show would have been in top 10.

The TRP goes to only Star Plus and Colors shows . TRP audience never go with channels like Sony Sab. If this show was on Star Plus, story would have been different but again Star Plus doesn't air such shows.

This is high time TRP system gets changed so that progressive shows with good content are promoted than the shows with toxic content (I do not want to mention the names but majority of TRP toppers promote toxic relationships).

@bold - Yup that's what I was getting at. The normal indian families - where one or other person is addicted to the ghissi pitti serials - will end up watching maddam sir online. The 0.6 trp is only from all the 'abnormal' viewers. The issue is that audience are forced to choose only one show at a time slot, and they're not willing to de-prioritize their saas-bahu serials because there's so much exaggerated suspense - like the vamp's truth getting revealed or not, it never does but everyday the audience wait ke aaj toh hoga hi. Comedy shows on Sony Sab don't have anything so suspenseful that can't be watched a day late. That's obvious from this forum itself, many of us often catch up on the episodes at a later day or time because we're not on the edge of our seat waiting to see 'aaj kiske bhaag phoot gaye, bechaari bahu KS ke ya zaalim saas PS ke'. The only reason TMKOC maintains a high trp is because its become a habit for most households, a classic dinner time watch for the whole family.

I doubt changing the TRP system will do anything until the suspense-generating strategies change or ppl stop getting lured into them. You can have the most progressive show loved by everyone, but what ppl will watch first is the show where they lady's pregnancy hasn't been revealed for 1 year now, even if its just to curse and yell at their tv screens for the whole episode. Then once they've lost their mental peace over the nonsense, many will go online and watch their favourite progressive show. Irony to the max, but tv ad companies only pay for what is watched on tv so who cares about online viewers and audience love🤔

Completely agreed! TRP system is not the right criteria to judge a show but unfortunately that's decide the fate of show.

BTW TRP has dropped to 0.5 I guess. Deepika Di any idea

Drop in the TRP by 0.1. I heard it's exams time for kids and also IPL and then of course Anupama 😔

And the 0.5 persists.

This is scaring me tbh, because the channel seems to be keen on cutting shows and another drop could bring the same fate as ZDMN. Plus, MS reaching the 500 mark feels more like a source of threat than achievement, as if the channel will say 'we've let you run till now at just decent trps, so now is a good time to go'.

500 is the biggest mark so far, it should really have been a huge case and twist with promos and all, but here we are dealing with a maternity case, probably going to turn out similar to the paternity one.
