Dor hits a century

It's celebration time for cast and crew of STAR Plus' prime time show Maaye Ke Se Bandhi… Dor as the show completed 100 episodes yesterday.

The entire cast and crew commemorated the event with a cake cutting ceremony on the sets of the show. We spoke to the lead cast about the success of the show and their journey so far.

An excited Avani aka Shewta Munshi says, "It feels nice that the show has crossed a century and it has been a wonderful journey. I had to face many challenges along the way but I am happy to have a man like Bhaskar in my life. For me, the main highlight of the show, was when my marriage was fixed with Bhaskar and he agreed to my condition. I also enjoyed the time spend with my mother and sisters during the marriage rituals. The other highlights were when I learnt about Bhaskar's true nature after marriage and the true colors of my mother- in-law."

She also shares her best moments both on-screen and off-screen. "Best moment for me on-screen was time spend with all my siblings and my mother. There were some office moments with my friend Usha too. While off-screen toh we do dhamaal daily. Just yesterday, my co-stars celebrated my birthday on the sets and today (28th June), we are celebrating the completion of 100 episodes of Dor. So it is superb. I want all you guys to please support our show."

After Avani, her sasuma, Lata aka Rohini Hattangadi claims, "I am happy that the show has reached its' first milestone and I want Dor to complete at least 500 episodes. I am enjoying playing this character, which has lot of shades and traits."

Talkig about the main highlight of the show, she adds, "When I found out about Avani's condition before marriage and then my decision of not allowing Avani to give her salary to her mother after the marriage. It is very difficult to pick up the best moment on the show but off-screen, there were many moments with my new co-stars like Shweta, Rohit who are lovely. The best moment in the show was my introduction scene and the recent one when I threw Avani out of the house."

Bhaskar aka Rohit Khurana too shares his experience, "Finally, with lot of hard work, the show has completed its first century and now I want the show to cross 500 episodes. I am happy that slowly audiences are appreciating the show. For me, the main highlight was when Avani learnt my true nature and also when Avani's Aai was admitted in the hospital, how I manipulated her to give me the money. The best moments on the show are scenes with Avani while off-screen, its' good to learn from veteran actors like Anjan Sahab and Rohiniji."

We hope that the show reaches more milestones in the future but for now don't forget to watch Dor every Monday to Friday at 8.30 pm only on STAR Plus.
