- Maayka's Shilpa given court order to shoot
Maayka's Soni decides enough is enough
Television's Shilpa says director is a pervert
Sexy TV babe Shilpa Shinde, who plays Soni in Maayka, has won the legal action against her.
Mumbai High Court has ruled in favour of the actress after producer of TV serial Lal Mirch Hari Mirch, Rakesh Choudhary took her to court. As per the contract, the actress was supposed to shoot for the show for eight days in a month, but the producer claimed that she wouldn't turn up for the shoot. The city civil court served her a property attachment notice. Shilpa then appealed in the High Court.
The court ruled that a producer/ director can neither force an artist not to work somewhere else just by taking the dates nor make him/her sit idle. Says Shilpa, "I was hired to do a weekly serial Hari Mirch Lal Mirch initially. Later they made it into bi-weekly and wanted extra dates from me. But I had other commitments and I couldn't give them anymore dates. I could not sacrifice one show for another," she says adding, "Rakeshji's blaming of for being unprofessional is absolutely wrong. Had I been an unprofessional artist, would I be working in a popular serial like Maayka," she says.
Shilpa has also confirmed that she will not be leaving the much popular soap Maayka, as the makers will not allow her to. She says, "Yes I do want to leave the show as I am required to cry very often. It drains me out completely. And I'm not like that. I want to do something different. But the producers are not allowing me to leave as the show is doing very well at the moment. So let's see."
