Television's Don to play Bawarchi

After playing Don in the Star One show of the same name which went off the air recently, Parmeet Sethi was missing from the scene for sometime. But now he will be back playing a bawarchi in Zee's Maayka. The role is said to be similar to that of Rajesh Khanna's in the film Bawarchi.

Adds a source from production team, "It's true that Parmeet's character has been moulded on the lines of Bawarchi but whether he will turn thief in the end is yet to be decided by the creative directors."

The makers are hoping that Parmeet's entry will help them gain TRPs along with also building up a new track. "Parmeet is known for his comic timing. We roped him in for a few episodes as he was busy with some other commitments. Now, we're planning to develop his role further. The real drama will unfold on 19 September."

Meanwhile, the current track focuses on Soni (Shilpa Shinde) and Veer (Vineet Raina). This week Jeet (Romit Raj) returns home but finds that his love Soni is getting married to his elder brother Veer leaving Jeet in a state of shock.
