What is it like, juggling two shows - Maayka and Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai on the same channel? It's fun portraying two very different characters. I play an IPS officer in Maayka and a business- man in Har Ghar Kuch Kehta Hai. You're doing a show for DD National as well, right? Yes, it's a daily called Sanyasi. I think I'm lucky to be a part of a show set in the 1950s. Tell us a little something about how you started out with television I started with Mulk, and then I was a part of Aroona Iraani's camp for a while. Later, I also did a role in Sindoor Tere Naam Ka. And what about playing pranks on your co-stars? We shoot day in and day out, so I love playing pranks to pep them up. And fortunately it has gone down well with everyone. No one has ever snapped back. Didn't you work in a film, Janani? It didn't do too well, right? Yeah, I did. And let me tell you that it did better than Umrao Jaan. Our film worked for 10 days while Umrao Jaan lasted for a week. Are you doing any more films? Yes, I am doing another film with a renowned production house, but can't talk about it now. Whatabouttelevision?Anymoreroles? I was offered Saarthi and Durgesh Nandini, but I couldn't take them up because I'm doing three dailies. One hears that you and Tanushree Kaushal of Ghar Ki Lakshmi.. Betiyaan, are quite an item.. You've heard right. We've been seeing each other for a while and I've found a very close friend in her. But isn't she older than you? A couple of years, yes. But that hardly matters. We are very compatible and I give two hoots about her age. Two months ago, I was suffering from malaria and typhoid. Tanushree would shoot all day but rush to the hospital as soon as she was done.. she's my strength. So is marriage on the cards? Definitely. But right now, our careers are our priority .
