Note - I have translated the Hindi dialogues into English, so the update contains a lot of grammatical errors.
Brief Update
- The episode starts with Shabd, as he takes Mahi to the side, his expression is clearly going ughh- is-this-the-girl-I-married? He asks Mahi as to why she is wearing a fancy dress? He tells her to be just herself, and the salwaar was not needed. He also points out that the theme of the party is black, and asks her to wear something hip and happening!
- Raji, Veer and Soni look on from the side at Shabd & Mahi. Veer doesn't look too happy with Shabd, as Mahi runs upstairs.
- She returns back wearing a black salwaar. Shabd's expression is priceless 😆, while Raji & Soni are smiling.
- Guy, "No matter how hard you try to change illiterate people they just do not change."
Girl, "Take shabd's wife for instance she is a total "behenji" she went inside to become modern, but came outside looking like a total beheji".
Shabd is upset hearing these words.
Second Shabd & Mahi Scene
Shabd: "What is this Mahi? I told you to change"
Mahi: "But, you said black"
Shabd: "I told you to ----"
Veer, Raji & Soni walk in and interrupt them.
Raji: "Mahi, you guys make a cute couple"
Veer: "Shabd, introduce Mahi to your friends!"
Shabd: "Veer woh main"
Veer: "come on Shabd, let's go man"
Shabd: "veer- woh"
Veer: "let's go"
Veer drags a reluctant Shabd away.
- Veer announces to everyone "Friends, we are present at this party of Mahi & Shabd! So, what's there to wait? Let's celebrate!" Shabd's friends come by hug him. A girl comes and hugs him. Mahi doesn't look too happy.
- Veer gives Shabd a hankerchief to wipe the lipsticks marks from his cheeks.
- A waiter comes with wine to Mahi. She just shakes her head.
Shabd: "come on Mahi take it... Come on Mahi.. don't be shy.... Come on Mahi.. have it yaar"
Mahi just keeps looking at him, he lifts the glass, and places it in her hand.
Shabd: "come on mahi.. have a sip.. come on"
Mahi looks uncomfortable.
Shabd: "come on mahi have it yaar..."
Mahi drinks it.
- One of the guys comes to Mahi and says, "Congratulations.. give me hug"
Mahi pushes him away.
The guy goes, "Shabd, your wife is a little funny"
Shabd replies, "No no, she isn't like that. It's mainly because her sisters are present here, which is why she is uncomfortable, they are a little old fashioned."
The friends go, "oh okay.. we understand"
Meanwhile, one of the girl's, royally declares, "You guys wanna know something? I love Shabd"
Mahi looks upset (a lil furious!)
Shabd cutely tries to justify, "Mahi, she is only kidding"
The girl replies, "Mahi, you are very lucky. I had my eye on Shabd, but you stole him away from me."
Mahi looks hurt.
Shabd replies, "Relax Mahi, she is only kidding."
Another girl says, "Shabd used to be the most eligible bachelor, but anyways"
Shabd is smiling at that.
- Later, Shabd drinks more. The girl who claims to "love" him promises him a kiss, if he drinks one more glass. Mahi looks upset. Shabd cutely replies, "No way guys, I love my wife too much"
- Soni questions Raji as to how Mahi will adjust in such a lifestyle. This is not our sanskaar. Raji replies, "Don't worry Soni, our Mahi is intelligent & educated. She will learn it slowly slowly" Soni looks in disbelief.
- Shabd's friends cheer on, as they ask him to drink.
Shabd replies, "I am already married guys & I love my wife. Do one thing you kiss someone else"
Girl: "Why are you scared?"
Shabd: "Yes, take it that way"
Guy1: "Hey baby. He is gone, now the kiss is mine"
Girl: "shutup"
Shabd finally takes the drink when one of the guys ask him to finish it. Mahi walks out from his side, and comes near Raji & Soni.
- Veer tries to make Shabd understand, "Shabd, what are you doing?" Shabd: "Veer, I am enjoying the party" Veer: "But, Mahi is not enjoying" Shabd: "She is enjoying, but just is a little shy"
- Mahi tries to justify Shabd's action by saying, "what can he do? This environment is like this only. His friends are pressurizing him. And, these high society parties are this way only. It's my mistake, I have to change, I will change slowly slowly".
Soni "But Mahi, your husband should understand. He should give you time change".
Raji interrupts, "Dont worry Mahi everything will be fine. I am sure you won't need to change. Shabd will change for you."
- On the other side, Shabd and this guy are competiting (reminds me of Main Hoon Na) except in this one they are drinking, instead of running. The other guy wins. Shabd's friend says: "you have lost your touch man"
Shabd: "No, I haven't lost my touch. But, I have lost my heart to my wife, Mahi"
The crowd cheers on at his words.
Shabd finishes by saying, "She is a part of my life. And, this part of the beer she will drink it". The episode ends on Mahi's face.
Preview for tommorrow: Shabd is dancing with one of the girls. Mahi looks upset.
