I'm not sure, but I have feelings that she may stay because I read it somewhere that Soni's character is going to be changed and stronger now. I also think that there's a reason why Soni saved Durga from the cops. I think Soni is making her own "kichadi" (having her own ideas) in her mind about her wonderful MIL.

Should this happen then I think Shilpa will stay because she did say that if they change Soni's character, then she will stay. But, don't get your hopes up though because I may be wrong.

Until Shilpa does something its wrong but if Neha does then ok..

Guyss I don't think anyone want to do a boring role, where the charachter is weak and only cries.. If I was at Shilpa's place maybe I also had quit a show where my charachter was so weak and if the charachter did'nt have any adventure any new points the same boring way, then whats the use to do such role. I am sure every actor want to do a role that shows different sides of them..

but yes maybe Shilpas way of talking in the interviews is not good, saying that she want Waaris back etc. But thats her prob, maybe she have something personal with all that..

I have tried so much to make this place a warm, peacefull and friendly place, but it can't happend when we have members that are against some other actors.

Its easy if u don't like a charachter/actor then just stay away from their topics. Why go there use time on reading it and then start bashing again..

I use so much time on all those bashing topics, that I don't even got time to make some fun and masti topics here. we have so many ideas but we can't fulfill them if we always have to close and warn members...

If u guys read this u may know some of our ideas *~* IMP News from Dev Team *~*

Thanx bunches brownbutt for making this topic. I've seen you stand up for Shilpa in a previous topic before too and wanted to thank you for doing so.... however Shilpa ended up getting bashed there too. This topic was very much needed as this forum was getting messy and messy everyday with anti-Shilpa discussions. It's disgusting. Hopefully people will finally understand to keep away from Shilpa topics if they hate her.... and to just stick to topics which don't require bashing. And if they do want to discuss Shilpa... then there can always be healthy discussions.

Anyways... I am a Shilpa fan (but I like Neha too-- I don't hate her)... hence I used to watch Waaris just for her. She is a brilliant actress. The backbones of Maayka are Neha and Shilpa together... if one leaves... then Maayka is incomplete. As for Shilpa wanting to quit Maayka.... she has her own reasons for doing so... and I agree with her. I agree with all the points that brownbutt pointed out. None of us know Shilpa personally... then why criticize her? Btw... some people have asked if Shilpa was known before Maayka... because Maayka made her popular. Well, I agree Maayka made Shilpa popular... but I've watched her previous shows like Sanjeevani and some epis of Bhabhi too... so I knew Shilpa way before she started Maayka.

Anyways... thanx for this topic once again. And hopefully we can have "healthy" discussions here w/o bashing and etc. 😊

Thanks brownbutt. Excellent post! I am so sick of all the Shilpa-bashing on this forum. Maayka is as much Shilpa's show as Neha's. Like most people pointed out, you don't have to hate Shilpa to like Neha. I like both of them. I don't see this kind of negativity towards an actor on any other forum.

I support Shilpa in her decision to quit Maayka. She deserves to play a stronger character than Soni. And yes Waaris was a nice show, better than some saas-bahu soaps. So she is bound to feel sorry that the show ended.

Seriously, why hate someone you don't even know personally?

well said everybody, time time again it is said due not criticise the actors but you can critise the characters they play where as Shilpe character is fragile and neha's as the no nonesense type, as you know in every household if one is the fragile type the other will automatically defend the fragile sibling as in this case this what is happening in the show.

now tell me how many times have you seen neha smile I think about the same as Shilpe. I think all this hate Shilpe came about once the fans learned that both them had been arguing on the sets, who doesn;t have a tiff almost everyone does but that dosn't mean that they haven't become friends again and in no terms does it mean that we hate the other person

well done for discussing this topic both are pretty girls and both have their own waysof potraying a character and I see them as actresses and do not bother if they are sleeping with tom, dick and harry or fighting with all the people in Bollywood, we are watching a good drama with a good storyline and I like this show and the best character was the choti bua ji

i feel the producers are being very selfish & narrow minded when it xcomes to soni's character being so weak. come on creatives this is a show of 21st century & it is impossible for any human being to take so much crap & still play saint. it's about time soni stands up for her self & puts durga in her place, because durga has crosses the .line this time, but the silly show makers still made soni give durga's side. whilst it should have been soni dragging that evil creature to court & convey message to all those daughter-in-laws, who are at the mercy of their evil ma in law, to stand up for your self & don't let the narrow minded mother of your hubbby to bully & torture you. no wonder shilpa is sick of the production house, i am not a fan of hers. but as an actress i can understand her frustration with playing a total saint & weak. in 21st century educated girls like soni don't take thrash like dat from brainless ma in law. soni was never like that, she was bubbly & care free at the beginning until she got mnarried & creatives made her a door mat. i am bored of watching soni weeping, pleading & taking all this torture with pinch of salt. therfore i don't blame shilpa if she is bored creatively, because she doesn't get chance to show her talent
