Shilpa Shinde is on cloud nine because her scenes with Iqbal Khan in Waaris have been well received. The chemistry that the two share is similar to Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukherji In Yuva.
When she first got the brief, Shilpa admits that she felt a little uncomfortable but Iqbal quickly put her at ease.

Turns out the scenes were so convincing, that her friend called her the next day. Her teenaged daughter is a die-hard fan of Iqbal and was distraught because she missed the first episode.

Shilpa's friend joked that she was glad her daughter hadn't seen it.. she would have been so jealous. "She told me we were clinging so close to each other, ki hawa jaane ke liye bhi jagah nahi thi," laughs Shilpa.

Next big thing This is Shilpa's second major daily on Zee TV after Maayka in which she plays Vineet Raina's wife and now widow. Vineet was killed so he could be taken on in a new afternoon daily. Yuvraj Malhotra was killed in Ghar ki Lakshmi.. Betiyaan to make way for Waaris.

"I wish they would kill off my character in Maayka too so I can concentrate on Waaris," sighs Shilpa. She has even thought of a possible track change. Her character, Soni, is pregnant. She could die at childbirth leaving a baby girl to be raised by her sister Neha Bamb.

But Neha won't hear of it. "She is afraid that the soap will take a leap and she'll have to play a 40-year-old maasi!"

Hehe its sad how Shilpa is not appreciate of all the success that maayka has given her! Well its her wish.. but i think one should apreciate and celebrate successes that god gives us rather than cribbing about them!

why is she badmouthing the show that made her famous?😕 i can understand it if she doesn't like her current track but she should at least be grateful since she's only well known because of Maayka

When Veer was alive, she didnt have any complaints abt acting in Maayka because she could chipkofy with him, but as soon as he was killed off, she needed some other hero to chipkofy with....😉😆😆

What is she talking abt? Hawaa jaaney ki jagah nahin? 😆😆 Well, its obvious she hasnt seen KYPH where Iqbal clung so intimately with Neha in ALL scenes that they made them the spokespersons for fevicol.😉😆

I also wish they kill off Soni in Maayka so we can enjoy Shahi and Angad-Kamya drama in peace without having to tolerate her. 😃

But shes very ungrateful. Maayka is a successful show, Waaris still hasnt got off yet.....and as Ive repeated many times before, Smriti's shows dont last too long.

Shes thrilled to get a few intimate scenes with Iqbal.....we will see how many such scenes she has in the future when the drama gets serious with male-dominated scenes and violence.

😆😆Actually pallavi, she didn't get chance to do some good serials or scenes in her early young age, so now she jsut want to cash all 😆 she just want to be in news from the time when she came into maayka, she has some recognition not because of herself but becuase maayka was very popular and veer's character was also lovable in viewers, but she think herself a superstar, which is quite hilarious😆.............What scenes she did and what hot scenes...even her costar iqbal denied in his interview to call them intimate😆...but she has a bad mouth about her character in maayka, if i were the producer of this serial i would like to throw her out immidiately.....the character which gives her some rec, now she talks bad about that, she is thorough a disgracful actress for me i will be more happy if they kill soni😳

i just dotn understand.. why all of them r afraid of playign a 40 etars old person.. i mean.. u still can look good glamerous.. why get afraid..

its a challenge..

and being an actr .. u should be able to play all roles..
