Part Seventeen
The couple spent the following few days shopping and fixing up the house. Damini was getting impatient about seeing the stud farm where Prithvi used to work and besides being stuck inside got boring after awhile. She was used to going out to running errands and to the office.
There was one day left now before they made their return trip. She was determined to see it today. She found him starting a fire so they could make smores. She smiled as he took the sticks and tried to put one together. She bent down beside him and started to help him.
" You know Prithvi you promised me something when we were about to come here," she quipped.
Prithvi looked at her puzzled.
" Shaadi hogayi, romance thora hogaya, aur kya hai Damini? We fixed up the house and we have been having fun," he stated.
She shook her head .
" I want to see the stud farm," she quipped.
Prithvi turned solemn.
" You want to go riding," he retorted.
She grinned as she took a smore and started to munch on it. She wiped some chocolate off her mouth.
" Damini you know that after that incident, I am just afraid something will happen to you," he stated.

He reached over and took her hand and kissed it. She sat up straight and looked at him warmly.
" Prithvi tum saath ho toh kya hoga? If I have you I don't fear anything. Even if something were to happen, I have complete faith that we would be all right, because we are a good team and we love each other," she declared.
Prithvi sighed.
Damini held out a smore, he quickly took a bite from her hands fearing it would burn her. He got some chocolate on his face, she smiled and leaned over and kissed it off. She then took a smore putting half in her mouth and holding out the other half for him to bite into. He smiled and bite until he met her lips and then they had a smore kiss.
Damini pulled back quicker then he expected and said," Ok so I'll go change then we are going to the stud farm!"
Prithvi sat back and sighed.
" I am totally not winning this one," he muttered.
The owner was the same guy and was delighted to see that Prithvi had settled down. He brought over two of his better horses.
" Prithvi tumara favorite kaunsa hai?," she inquired as she patted one of the horse.
" The one you have right now. She is calm as she senses you are close and special to me. Be careful she may get jealous that you took me away from her," he quipped.
Damini rolled her eyes and got in the saddle. They rode for awhile and then ended up meeting the owner and his family for tea. Before they left Prithvi asked his old boss to let him know if any horses were ever up for sale to let him know.
They got back to their house and Damini decided to cook something quick and easy so they could easily finish it before leaving next day. They ate quietly. Then started to pack. Damini felt sad to leave Manali. She had grown to love it. This seemed like a whole new world to her. It was far more peaceful here than anywhere else she had ever been in her life so far.
" Kya hua? You seem lost in thought."
She tucked her hair behind her ear.
" I will miss this place. I guess we can make this our room for next time as well. I am going to leave a few things here," she said and turned around to put a few things back in the dresser.
Prithvi came up behind her and put his hands on her shoulders.
" We'll be back here again. Whenever you want to come here again, I'll bring you here again," he promised.
He pressed a kiss on her cheek.
She turned around to face him.
" Manzoor. I would love to come here all the time if possible. Seriously if I get another life to live, I want to live in a place like this forever and I want to marry you again in that life too," she said.
His eyes filled with compassion and love for her words. He gathered her up in his arms and caressed her back and she put her arms around him.
They slept on the bed tonight as they needed to be well rested for the journey ahead.
The whole trip back passed in a blur. They headed up to the Gujral House with their things were surprised to find decorations up and the servants were busy doing things. In the middle of everything Roshni and Varun were supervising the finishing touches.
Roshni saw them first and was startled that they were back ahead of schedule. She nudged Varun go swallowed hard and muttered something under his breath.
" Jeej and Di came back early. Humara surprise karv hogaya Varun !'' Roshni exclaimed.
'' It's ok after all this is where they live,'' Varun quipped.
Damini and Prithvi exhchanged glances,
" Varun, Roshni what is going on?," Prithvi inquired.
" We were just going to have a surprise anniversary party for you, Damini Bhabhi, Sameer Bhaiya aur Avani Bhahi," Roshni stated.
" How sweet!," Damini said before hugging her sister.
" Damini Di don't tell Avani Di. Come you both go get ready now. Everyone will be here within an hour," she stated.
Later Varun turned to Roshni.
" Go get ready Princess. You want to look your best don't you?," he quipped.
Roshni smiled and hugged him.
" Yes I better go, you can greet everyone right until I come back?," Roshni inquired.
" I'll take care of everything Roshni go ahead," he assured her.
The party was a small affair, the other couple was surprised. Later they sat around talking.
Avani and Roshni took Damini aside and asked about Manali.
"It's beautiful there girls. I miss it so much. We should all go there together some time," she declared.
She told them about their fun times there and how she had trouble breathing the day before their anniversary. Her sisters got concerned.
" No worries girls. Tumare Jeej bauth acche hain. He took such good care of me. The medical team was great but Prithvi's love is what helped me survive that day," she declared.
" Di we are lucky that Prithvi our Jeej," Roshni stated.
" Haan who sub ka kitna khayal rak te hain. I am sure when you have children they will be so loved and protected," Avani stated.
Roshni took this opportunity to tease Damini about it. She couldn't stop blushing as she admonished her sister for her questions. She couldn't help but wonder how it would feel to be a mother.
