Since you've presumed that I agree with you, I must be clear that I don't. It isn't our first difference of opinion, and shouldn't surprise you.

I am not prejudiced against people who haven't been on India Forums for very long. They may have plenty of experience as readers, writers and even teachers. So, I didn't bother to check who is a Newbie or a Groupbie before inviting them to vote. There are people on India Forums whose literary judgement appalls me regularly, nor do I trust them to vote honestly, but I wouldn't exclude them from voting.

A most talented writer whose fan fictions I follow is still a Groupbie and I would love to read her votes. People who talk less may have more thoughtful opinions.

Your rule as written on the first page doesn't prohibit Newbies and Groupbies from posting votes in this topic. The rule is only your promise not to count their votes.
