Originally from Mumbai, he beat Amit Sana for the title of Indian Idol & won a contract worth Rs 10 million (or 1 crore) from Sony and a luxury car. His most famous song, Mohabbatein Lutaunga, was the song he sang on the final episode. His first solo album was released on April 7, 2005.

The first Indian Idol was considered to be even bigger and more extravagant than the original American version, in terms of not only the votes cast and the people watching it on television, but also the talent shown. He was used to promoting many other shows and products related to Sony in the following months. He even released an album for another Sony show Jassi Jaissi Koi Nahin in June 2005. He was also seen singing and sometimes acting in many other Sony-produced shows, including CID.

His first grand concert after winning Indian Idol was the Yaaron Concert in Delhi. The show was broadcasted on television on July 17^th 2005.He has been touring India and abroad doing many shows and being a big part of many others eg. Asian Lifestyle Show, UK. His album, Junoon, his comeback release!

1. Abhijeet, please tell me about ur future projects! i want to know if u are working in future films? working with leading music directors?

2. I have noticed (and i guess everyone did) that u have changed ur singing style in ur second album "Junnon". ur voice just sounds so different! Was this done deliberately? What was the reason behind this change?

3. Any upcoming concerts in Delhi or around like in Noida etc. (lol i hope u have some upcming concert here cuz thats where i live 😆)
