Working in a Hollywood film should not considered as the height of career achievement for actors.
Ash working in Bollwood doesnt make her a better actress than Tabu, Madhuri or Kaajol.

Not undermining the acting talent of Gaurav Chopra , I would like tos simply state that RAjeev Khandelwal has a huge fan following and that X-factor that makes a star a star.

If we imagine that we are back to 2006 July and LRL starts as it is now , except that instaed of RAjeev , GAurav would play the role of Rajveer from the begining. Rajeev would not be any part of Lrl.

Would LRL have got the publicity that it enjoys now?

I agree i mean when this show had started it had just one big name and that was RAJEEV KHANDELWAL..........who made the show a success , a youth icon.....gaurav entered at a later stage when the show was already a hit and its easier to come and take over a hit show rather than starting from scrap......

if big names are the responsible to run & make any production a success, then no movie of BIG B sh'd ever register as a flop. Any production can't run on the sole basis of star cast...LRl worked because it has a different concept, good storyline & good actors & a good production team.

as far as being Gaurav in place of Rajeev is concerned..It's a fact that DJ's first choice for the role of 'Rajveer'was Gaurav not Rajeev...but at that time Gaurav was busy with his SOUTH AFRICA project.."bombay crush"...so he refused to do the show.

and as far as the publicity is concerned..how could u say that LRL wouldn't hv been enjoying this publicity if Gaurav had been a part instead of rajeev? It' sjust what u want to think...so if i say that perhaps LRL would hv been a better success if it had Gaurav from the start..instead of Rajeev. Would u agree to it without any substantial fact?

as for being easier to take over a running show, I completely denie. In fact..when a show starts ...it is not really easy being accepted by ppl to this extent. it is difficult...but once the standards hv been eastablised ..it becomes all the more difficult for a new actor to enter & take whole responsibility of show..because at that time..he has to cope with his standards as well as the standards set by teh former actor. He has to shoulder the burden of ppl's expectations from his character & the comparisons with the former. so..in thsi manner ..taking over a hit show..is a great responsibility than to start from scrap.

We must agree who is who.
GAurav Chopra has his own place in the TV industry and Rajeev Khandelwal has his own place.

A big star doesnt ensure always hit shows. RAjeev had his bunch of flop shows too. But for a real star - stardom is never affected by hit or flop.

I think it is better if we do not compare these two actors. Both are great. RAjeev is Rajeev and Gaurav is GAurav.

Good lord, can we give this bickering a rest? Why talk about Rajeev in response to an article that is exclusively about Gaurav?
What are the facts? Gaurav was supposed to do a show, but at the last minute he is no longer doing it.
That is the only fact in the article... the rest is all hearsay and speculation.
I refuse to believe that any one side is entirely innocent and the other side entirely wrong... there must have been problems on both sides, a lack of communication and a lack of agreement. Neither is Gaurav entirely good or entirely bad, nor the production house.
The only thing i am happy about is that while the production house has accused Gaurav, he has made no counter accusations... all his statements are with reference to himself, his life and his date problems. For resisting the urge to blame/malign the production house, 😊 for him.
