I think that i should give up asking for things.... very few scenes of Gaurav today...
Well the miraculous moment continued... all three of them have solved one line each of the code... and now they have a new code which is not symbolic but verbal.... now they have to crack this code.... aur yeh bilkul hopeless code hai.... on hearing the code i had one of those 'why am i here' moments?... Gaurav kya kya karna padta hai tumhaare liye...
anyway, our hero's part of the code is 'i believe in miracles'.... incidentally, i love the hot chocolate song 'i believe in miracles.... where're you from, you sexy thing.... i believe in miracles.... since you came along, you sexy thing'... par yeh tune mein toh Gaurav mahashay ne gaaya nahi....
Ok to come back to serious analysis, he did the scene well... caught the tone right, though perhaps he didnt need the rubbing face and tired eyes bit.... yes Gaurav thinking is hard work but not quite that tiring!....
His main scene of the day was a class room scene... again inane dialouges.... dhun hawa mein float kar rahi hai, usse catch kar lo... mr. dialogue writer, viral infection bhi hawa mein bahta hai.... woh aap kyun nahi catch kar lete....
But i really liked Gaurav in this scene... his expresssions were bang on... ok you're not getting it... lets try again... let me explain this to you once again, slightly differently this time round... and now lets try again, slowly, gently, before you forget what i've told you right now... good lord no.... but i shall be patient.... yes you guys are better but a lot more can be done... and i loved the fact that he was having a cup of tea in class.... a lot of teachers do that...
So though the lines were quite silly, i still liked the scene a lot... because it was a difficult scene to do... it didnt require any over the top kind of expression... it required staying natural.... which very few people actually do on tv.... he did it just right... not zero expression.... at the same time not a constant attempt to express every moment... cant stand either extreme.... way to go Gaurav!
Then he had the scene where he and Naina are alone... with Huda hovering in the background.... ek toh this plot really needs to go somewhere... i'm tired of situations where Abhi and Naina come together and Huda is watching.... take it further people... anyway, after playing the mouth organ, i liked the way he said 'thats the spirit'.... by just lowering the tone of his voice a little, he made the encouragement sound more meaningful... he could have said in a normal jovial tone or an even more hearty tone... but that wouldnt have shown sensitivity to the issue of her brother's death.... which could be seen here.
Finally, some things that you ask for do happen... my mother has started liking Gaurav 😉 😆.... finally!!
Here's to hopefully seeing more of Gaurav tomorrow.
