Discussion:Harmless Pranks?

Hello all u lovely lrl-ians!😃 Well, yesterdays episode raised a lot of questions on d forum. Many of you liked d scene wid ud,huda and alekh, and many of you hated it. now, the thing is, what that epi showed, it managed to raise many issues out here.

Ya, i know ab tum log yeh kahoge, ki "kya yaar, ab isme bhi "issues" mikal diye tumne..?"😆😛 but guys,theres just one question here...and that is of pranks. At our age,as in teenage..we all play pranks on our friends.Why teenage, even the bade log play pranks.😆 But the thing is, who realises which of the pranks are genuine pranks and which can be harmful?

Let me give you an eg, last year, one of the gurls in our class had a major fight with anuther. to ge back at her, she called up Pizza Hut and ordered loads and loads of food under the name of the gurl she fought with. she even gave her address and phone no and got them 2 deliver the stuff at her house.😛 Now wen i first heard this, i laughed my head off.😆 but the next day,we found out that Tanyas(the gurl on whom the prank was played) lost her net connection and the phone from her room. her parents banned her TV and her chatting with her friends or going out newhere. now, i know they were mad and its justififed in a way. even wen the truth came out, her parents made her leave the school. now this may just be a case of over-strict parenting😛, but the prank was pretty mean.

I know this can in no way be comapred to what the guys did yesterday,but since i have never come across ne such prank😆😛 i culdnt really give an eg.

So guys, what do you think?

Is playing ne trick on ne1 justified if we give it the name of a "harmless prank"?

who decides which prank is "harmless" and which isnt neway?

and most of all, is it justified to play ne trick and give it the name of a "prank"?

hi prerna...........i think pranks and tricks r gud unless and until it doesn't affect or harm nyone 😊 😃 ...........playing tricks or pranks r just for fun 😃 but sometimes it may become a cause of something serious ..........so it has both shades funny and sad.........as we all know excess of evrything is bad. 😃
the pranks which was played by huda and alekh was not gud though funny.......... 😕

Nice topic prerna.. well let me tell u my prank which i did at IF 😉

I was chosen at Mem Vs Mem post at KTH forums and had to do some difficult task and one member Romaila gave me tyhe task to fool or make angry a newbabe ... first i was like oh God how me gonna do that ... i remember i sent 5o pms to so many newbabes .. requesting to help me for my task some didn't replied and thise who replied asked so many strange questions that i wanted to hit that member who gave me this terible task but U know this is ur di never affraid of taking risk so i changed my plan of action ... there was a newbabe won't tell her the name started a poll and asked whom u think is the worst Alluwalia... i didn't know anyone from KTh serial since stopped watching long time back but i knew it one character wich was negative and hated by the most.... so i sent her the threatening PM that how dare u said about that actor and opened a poll do u know that actor personally how dare u do that and stop this bec if u wrote anything further in ur post i will make u ban from the forum... and blah blah ... u know the next morning when i came to IF i had 8 PMs all from my kth frians and one from that member ... the 7 Pm sent the pms telling me what have i done check the link... so when i checked the link that member posted my PM as well as my name telling that if this thing can be done and i will not come to IF... that was the moment i was on cloud 9 that yahoooooooo i done my task ... and after ward i amde a seperate post for all the KThan that it was task given to me by romaila so she is responsible not me though i apologised to her but after that incident i have never seen her on the forum again 😳 😳 😳 😉

So the end analysis is that if the prank is not hurting u physically and morally than its okay but if it does than better don't do that secondly always remember that before doing any prank do consider that will that person will take it lighly or vl be hurted ...never ever do such things which at the end causes u trouble and that might end ur long lasting friendship

hi prerna playing pranks is nice till then when it dont harm or hurt anybodys feeling and according to me it will be nice if it involves between the person who played it and the person who had repented for that.then it will be a memorable incident in both of thems life,by remembering that incident they should experience happiness not sadness.but i thing YUDI is going to repent for this alot bcoz as SHALINI said he wont be visible in KMA after some time.and HUDA and ALEKH they r going to lose one of the fren and HUDA with whom he will bet now bcoz YUDI is his best betting partner.poor YUDI....

harmless pranks - the two words are justified in their meaning. playing a prank on someone such that neither the doer nor the victim are hurt in any way physically, morally or mentally.
i remember a serial in which the girls at the hostel ragged their junior by asking her to do cabaret dance. the junior refused. one senior slapped her so hard that the poor victim went into a coma. the girl who played this prank on her in the name of ragging had to suffer for it even after marriage.
another hardworking girl was told that she failed in her exam. the girl went on to commit suicide.
so always look before u leap. think twice before y play a prank on others - it could have dangerous and disastrous results.
the alekh -yudi-huda scene was hilarious. but what happens the next day when yudi wakes up in public?
if such a situation occurs in real life what will the victim do if the pranksters don't own up. lrl is just a serial. but what they showed yesterday was a bit too much. it is watched by many college students. if such students try to attempt the pranks played by huda n alekh in real life it is suicidal. hope dj refrain from such scenes in future.

i have come across such scenes in many movies - but the result was always the same - finally the it is the victim who has to suffer for the rest of their lives.

since i am married and have a kid of my own and since most of u r teenagers i sincerely hope that u guys won't get carried away by such scenes shown in the serial. try to enjoy u'r school and college life like i did without getting indulged in any immoral activities. this is my advice to all u young girls and boys out there!

other wise i enjoy reading all u'r posts and love participating in them.

Seriuosly minee when i saw those 8 pms i laughed a loud that my collegues started looking at me that whether i m alright bec those who sent me the PM forgot that this was a task given to me so at the end of the day i was happy one for completing my task successfully and other to fool not only the newbabe but also my kth friends 😳 😳 😳 😆 😆 😆 bec none can expect this thing from me 😃but i was little depressed as well bec of this task i haven't found that member again though i openly said sorry as well as through PM too 🤢

hey prerna.. pranks, in my opinion should be decent enough...i know u all will say dat okey, if dey r pranks, dey ARE suppose 2 be freaky, but still, dey shudn't be like wat it was yesterday..dat was cheap, very cheap..and now, dis can lead 2 yudi's expulsion from d academy....can't it? so pranks r fine, untila nd unless, dey r not misused.... 😊 😳 .....

i think that the prank was far from harmless.....it was what you cud call an invasion of someones emotional privacy.....
such pranks are what lead to a person's inferiority complex throughout his\her life and may result in suicide......or lifelong damage of the victim's psyche.
i think huda and alekh have pushed the boundries too far this time....it's afterall playing with someone's sexuality.... 😕 😕
