Saniya asks if Trisha is missing. Amrita lies to her that she'll be home soon but Saniya doesn't believe her & runs off to lock herself in her room. Her parents plead to her to open the door.
Kabir is having a party at his home for all his fellow investigating officers working on Trisha's case. Abhay wonders why he's so chilled. Kabir starts discussing the case. He talks about the cigarette butt that was planted deliberately in the car to confuse them & give them a wrong DNA sample. Kabir tells them that they'll now be focusing their attention on what the kidnapper is trying to hide rather than what he wants them to see.
Gaurav rebukes Sonali for speaking rudely to Prateek. Sonali replies that she didn't want Saniya to overhear their argument. Vivaan hears them & holds himself responsible for causing unintentional stress to Saniya. His anxiety kicks in & he starts yelling around and panicking. He goes away screaming that he is a 'loser' .
Saniya opens the door after Amrita & Prateek continue to knock at the door.
Prateek goes downstairs & yells at Sonali. When Gaurav tries to stop him, he tells him that he's not worth being a 'Swaika' as he's tied to his wife's apron strings ('joru ka ghulam') and can't even control his wife. Amrita tries to stop him but he continues to yell at Sonali & calls her an "immature woman". Sonali replies that she's not going to tolerate this anymore as she's not some servant of the house. She refuses to apologize & declares Prateek & Amrita incapable of managing their own kids. Prateek tells her to stop but she continues giving them a reality check. Amrita tells them all to stop arguing with each other as God is testing them in this difficult time & they've all failed to be a family & support each other.
Meanwhile, Kabir instructs his officers to view the case in a new light where they'll be conducting background checks for all the acquaintances/ friends known to the Swaika family. He gives an example of Neha & asks them to find out if she's still in touch with Prateek or has moved on to work somewhere else. Also, he tells them about Prem. Kabir is still confident that the suspect is a member of Swaika family & is being helped by an outsider/ friend.
Gaurav recalls how Prateek insulted him & his wife. Vivaan returns home in an inebriated state & tells his parents that he's now ready to face his uncle, Prateek. Gaurav stops him & almost hits him when he continues to remain adamant. Vivaan walks off to his room. Sonali sympathizes with Gaurav as he's feeling like a failure & crying. She also accuses him of letting everyone walk over him in the past & that's why Prateek & Lavanya don't think much of him now & no one respects him. She tells him to 'be a man' & take a stand in front of Prateek & the rest of the world as this house also belongs to him.
The next morning, Abhay arrives at Kabir's place to inform him that Prem has been caught with a teenaged girl at some shady motel. Kabir is neither impressed nor surprised with the news.
Kabir goes to Swaikas' house where he watches Saniya throwing tantrums & refusing to eat her breakfast. She greets Kabir as 'Magic uncle' & asks him to bring back Trisha through his magical powers. Kabir promises her that he'll bring back Trisha only when she promises him to eat her food & celebrate her birthday. Saniya agrees. Prateek & Amrita watch them mingling. Saniya invites him to have breakfast with her. Amrita tries to thank Kabir but Prateek interrupts her & enquires what brings him to his house. Kabir replies that he wants to check Trisha's tablet computer again. Amrita goes to bring it.
Precap: Prateek angrily tells Sonali that Saniya's birthday will be celebrated among family members only & there won't be any grand party. Amrita declares, "Yes, there will be a party".
Kabir calls Amrita & tells her that he wants to say something to her which he's never said before.
Neha visits Prateek in his office & hugs him.
Trisha's monologue where she says she's going to visit Saniya on her birthday. (She looked very happy for someone who's been kidnapped 😆 & was that a clown costume that she's going to be wearing?)😉
