Thank you for the updates, I'll be back later to post my review/comments, but I did want to say thank you for the video. That song is so beautiful and Reshmaji is just amazing. You don't need me to say it. But I love love love this video. Atif does the song justice too...such a shame that Rishtey didn't use it. It's one of the running complaints I have with the Rishtey telecast. But alas. *Shrug* Nothing else to do!

Episode ~281

15^th February 2011

Seema

In the market square Sudarshan is about to ask Seema, yet again if she had seen the man in the picture.. but she is saved by another man who diverts Sudarshan to himself and thus Seema gets the chance to sit in her car, and escape from Sudarshan, who leaves the market place frustrated..as no sign of Dutta.

Tasha

Dutta sits on his bed musing in his room and Naku is asleep in her room on her bed. Restless Dutta moves and sits on a chair.

Seema comes rushing into the front lounge and informs her uncle they have to move fast from this place as there is a man looking for Dutta with his men, she says, they seemed dangerous people, beating up innocent people. She says if these men find out that Dutta is here ,it will be a huge problem, hence we have to leave this place. chacha says, tonight we have to stay right here, if we leave now in daylight we'll be spotted. He says, you look after these two, and I'll go quickly and find some place new, she replies, yes go quickly and then return swiftly.

Dutta stares up in space. Naku sleeps.

Outside

Sudarshan tells his men, there's no doubt that Bhau is here.. but where is he hiding? how come no one saw his car? how is that possible? you lot hear it loud and clear! till Dutta is not found, no one will be going anywhere, go check every house, if you get any resistance kill them! so Sudarshan is doing what Kala suggested to gain power spread terror amongst people. Kala phones him and he moans, she's hiding in the house sitting on Dutta's chair! and is making me slog.. yesss Kala! why are you getting tense? Iam sorting things out here..kala replies, so it means that you haven't found Dutta? sudarshan yells back, what more am I supposed to do? put my all into searching him! Kala snubs him, I know how you put your all Sudarshan! you are one of those who prepare all year for an exam, yet fail the finals! I knew you would struggle, that's why I have sent Chaskar to you.. Sudarshan is not too pleased, what difference will that make? Chaskar's, plan B failed! as Dutta is still alive. Kala argues, at least he took Dutta to a near death situation... not like you, look, you only do what I ask you to do...so when Chaskar gets there you need to join hands with him and work. Suddenly one man comes and tells Sudarshan ,this man has seen the guy in the photo.. the informer says, yes I saw an old driver and there was a girl with him as well. Kala listens on the phone,as Sudarshan shows the informer, Dutta's photo again, was it this man? the informer confirms it.. and Sudarshan recalls the getting away black car carrying Seema in the rear seat. Sudarshan tells Kala, you heard that, I have found the mouse's hiding place. Kala tells him , go chase him them.. Sudarshan, replies I will, but you stop Chaskar from coming here.. and Kala shouts, don't be stupid Sudarshan, you think that Dutta is retarded and dumb that he is hiding from us! , how ironic as Dutta does suffer from a serious disability, his partial blindness. Kala continues, if Dutta is not coming out in the open ,then he must be planning, so you work with Chaskar. and she hangs up.

Sudarshan, turns to the informer, show me then where this man is? .if you tell the truth I'll make you rich! and if you are lying you'll regret the day you were born! and they leave..the hunt for Dutta is on.

Seema

She looks at the door for her uncle to return... why hasn't chacha returned yet? if they get here then..

Chaskar and Sudarshan goes to the place identified by the informer.

Tasha

Dutta stands and walks ahead and feels the window pane and sees a hazy blue sky and hazy green foliage. Seema worries, and then decides, I'll hide Dutta somewhere..Naku sleeps, enemies keep drawing closer. Dutta recalls Naku's words,"Saab enough is enough.. come back now" suddenly Seema comes to him and he asks, who is it? she replies, it's me.. come quickly I'll explain later and she grabs his arm ,and drags him as he moans, where to? where? ..seema takes him into a basement store room.. slowly she helps him down the stairs into the basement...she leads him on further,he asks , where have you brought me? and she replies, you'll have to stay here for a few days.. because your enemies have reached this place.. they are going to search the house, Dutta shouts, stay here! and hide like a coward! and Seema says, it's your eyes.. and he roars , my eyes!! eyes! and he moves forward angrily and nearly trips on a small drum! then he kicks it in Dutta style rage! so what if my eyes don't work? I can't hop from one room to another! I cannot be a loser and hide Seema! FBs~ he recalls the images of the young Dutta Bhau; the coldblooded sharp shooter .. killing in broad day light fearlessly ..he is more interested in how he used his gun...and he roars, enough! now I cannot fear my enemies! although blind, I still have the guts to face them! you don't know Dutta Bhau.. go away from here! leaveee!..stunned Seema leaves.. and Dutta turns his head.. listening to her retreating footsteps. and hypes himself up...

Dutta Bhau !

Now you cannot lose ! you cannot hide Dutta! remember the Dutta within you! DON'T YOU FORGET YOU ARE DUTTA BHAU! if you can't see ..so what? you still have the skills to face your foes! he says forcefully.. and then moves forward and throws a stone across the wall. He goes around feeling junk furniture in the room.. feels his way around, comes to a basket with tennis balls..and a paper weight. He grabs a tennis ball, and throws it up and catches it; and then strains his auditory senses to gauge the gravity of the ball.. as he catches it .. thus checking his throwing and catching skills. Then he throws the ball on the ground and times when it bounces back into his palm. Dutta then throws the ball ahead.. aims to bounce at the wall. and then catches it.. he practices this skill.. finds an empty glass bottle ,rolls it on the floor... listens to the sound and picks up a ball.. and keeping the rolling bottle in mind ,he tests his marksman skills.. and he throws the tennis ball and smashes the glass bottle!

He looks around restlessly.. hears Seema coming down the stairs, she brings a plate of fruit for him ,it has a fruit knife as well..he asks ,who is it? she replies, it's me.. he says , Seema...? She asks him, what were you doing? I heard a bottle being smashed! he growls, why have you come here? she replies, I have brought you some fruit...eat it please.. accidently she drops the knife, and he asks her what was that? she is quiet and he asks, was it a knife? answer me was it a knife? She replies yes, and he orders her, whatever you have in your hand put it in a corner! and pick the knife up!.. have you picked up the knife? She picks the knife up! and he yells, have you got the knife? she says yes, and he tells her, now move right back in the same direction.. hurry up stand before me at a distance! Now raise the knife! and aim at my face!... Seema is stunned.. how can I do this? she cries ! Dutta roars..pick the knife and aim at my face! ..she cries, but if I get you then what ? and Dutta moves towards her like a snorting bull! grabs her by the shoulders and shakes her, hey girl! do you want to help me? dooo you want to help me? she says yes.. and he says, then do as I ask... I have to prepare how to fight the enemy, so pick the knife up! aim at me! and help mee! I want to even hear the breath of the approaching foe! Take aim! He takes a few steps back and stands before her.. and he grinds the order ..take the aim Seema! She does and Dutta Bhau grips the swishing knife in his palm before it reaches his face!! he turns his head to his hand, that grips the blade of the knife! and then like lightening kneels slightly on one leg and throws his knife at her ! and it misses her and hits the wall! behind her! she is horrified as she turns her head to note that the knife missed..

Seema runs to him.. close.. and he visibly moves back in discomfort ..it was amusing to see him shirk back, as if she were a spider! Dutta ,what are your doing? what if I was stabbed?..he replies, gently, it was not my intention to frighten you.. but one thing is for sure.. that despite not being able to see.. my marksmanship and aim is retained! now if that foe comes before me! then that knife is going to be at his throat!..there is a sparkle of hope in his eyes..and Seema too gives him a happy supportive smile...

Sudarshan~ Chaskar

They drive into the area where Dutta is..

Dutta in the basement draws a large circle with the point of the knife.. feels the circumference and then in the centre of the large circle ,draws a smaller circle...feels it.. the enemies head! takes a few steps from it, feels the knife in his right hand and hurls the knife and it hits just outside the smaller circle.. moves toward's the wall, feels the aim of the knife and realizes he has missed..pulls the knife angrily and then feels the blade with his palm.. now your countdown begins Chaskar...i 'll recognize you from your breath!

Outside Sudarshan gives the beats ,and then ... Kala is seen on the screen point a gun and aiming with her made up eyes..

Dutta waves his palm and turns like lightening and hurls the knife past the wind chimes! He listens to the minutest sound.. then walks towards the chimes.. feels the knife on a board behind them..and pulls it out! holds the knife by the handle and yanks his head as his eyes concentrate on the blade.. after Chaskar it's your?? the one who makes Chaskar dance to tunes...

Kala face is shown aiming a gun.. at ...??.. Dutta says, holding the dagger .. now you won't be spared... his sister too raises her gun... Dutta narrows his eyes and he raises the knife..

episode ends Hamlet53, 29.9.14

This episode is about the indomitable spirit of Dutta Bhau.. how he makes allowances for the loss of partial sight..he sharpens his auditory senses and uses his skills of attack and defence which he trained himself in his hey days of Dutta Bhau..

It also shows.. how a determined person.. attempts to overcome a disability..

Dutta often practiced knife throwing in his den.. against a dartboard.. and is comfortable in handling and hurling knives.. so great to see he musters up his expertise in small weaponry.

The Scene where he orders Seema to take aim at his face.. is a reminder of the scene where he trains Naku to take shots at him with a gun.

Episode ~282

16^th February 2011

Dutta Bhau

Dutta points the knife down and says ,after Chaskar, it's your turn now ! one who makes Chaskar dance to your tunes.. now you won't save yourself. He walks away from the chimes and bumps into something solid, he feels and finds it's a regency arm chair.. he sits on it like it were his throne and rests his head back and looks ahead into space...and says, don't you worry Naku, even Bappa can't take you away from me before I have seen you.. regardless of whether I can see or not..Naku startles and wakes up ,Saab! you called me?.. and Dutta replies..I can hear your voice Naku.. speak , Naku! Naku revives and gets up from the her bed, and plods on weakly and says, Saab come back now! my heart misses you...dutta thinks aloud, I think about you all the time Naku, and Naku cries, my eyes yearn to see you.. Dutta gets up from his chair restlessly and walks slowly and says, don't worry Naku.. keep your faith in Bappa..and just pray that my vision is restored! and only yours is the face I want before my eyes. Naku in her room prays, and both have FBs, Dutta carrying her to his bed, looking into each other's eyes..when her locket gets entangled in his button. Dutta thinks ,about both feeding each other on the swing in his room, Naku thinks of feeding him on the kitchen floor.. Dutta thinks of first hug at Anna's den.. what soil are you made of? and her answer.. I am made of dark soil! Naku thinks , how he had smiled. Troubled and in love Dutta takes a piece of chalk and writes her name , Nakusha! on the wall...and then feels her name of the wall.. Naku says, I am sure that Bappa will unite me with you very soon.

Chacha, uses a public phone booth ..and tells Seema, we have found a place in front of the sheetlaram mandir.. it's the ,temple's dharmshala ,rest houses.. it's very crowded, and will make it difficult for the enemies to spot us. Seema, says, ok what I'll do is bring both of them with me.. and chacha says, yes you do that I'll wait for you ..

Naku comes to Seema who says, why have you got up? I was coming to you.. but Naku says, I have to leave now, and Seema says, but you are still not better ..and you want to go out in this condition. But Naku points out.. I agree, but we have separate ways...so we have to part someday.. and don't you worry about me.. Bappa is with me.and Seema , says ok.. let me show you the way then..and nearly leads Naku by the hand, but then says, no! lets go from the back door.. Naku is puzzled and asks why? Seema replies,it's along story..and today you cannot spare the time, neither can I...if Bappa will's it, we will meet again ..then I will tell you the story.

Seema's uncle, comes out of the phone booth. ..and Chaskar confronts him, Ram! Ram! performing chacha..chacha echos, performer?..chaskar replies, you sing and dance don't you? you are such a brilliant performer..you taking Chaskar for a ride? dont give me those silly faces!where is chaskars's chandni? chacha says, she's at shriram nagar, she stopped her dance and singing act, so I left her! I have to earn a living too.. Chaskar pulls out his gun and threatens chacha..oyeee one bullet in your gut..will make your tongue wag! Chacha swears, and Chaskar tells him not to lie.. but the one who swears is the biggest liar of the world! and he pops his gun in chacha's mouth.

Dutta Bhau!

Sudarshan's jeep stops before Seema's adda.. his BGs and he himself barge into the lounge.. it's empty.. they tip toe and search.. Sudarshan looks at Dutta's photo and says, where are you hiding Dutta !and he orders his men to search the rooms.. but they find nothing in any of the rooms..

The men come down the steps of the basement ..and point their guns in the darkness. Sudarshan fumes, where are you hiding Dutta? you lot! look properly for him! Sudarshan suddenly notices "the writing on the wall"... Nakusha ! suds gets the message loud and clear.. Dutta is alive and still, is the all loving, fending ,guarding husband of Naku. Sudarshan he has a wicked smile on his face.. walks up and chuckles.. Nakusha... pulls out his gun and shoots out her name.. and says, her name.. and says, Dutta is around here.. all the BGs are fearful.. Dutta! Sudarshan says.. it's time now to end your love affair! One of the BGs says, shall we call for reinforcements?.. suds says ,what for? and the BG replies ,if Dutta is here then there will be a big fight! and if he finds out we betrayed him then he'll kill us ! Sudarshan tells him off, and pulls out his gun, what about now? the BG says, he is not afraid.. I was just.. Chaskar chuckles as he asks his BG . and then says.. now you all better listen up! if we leave this place, we leave with Dutta's body ! otherwise he won't let us leave empty handed! and if by luck we do manage to leave , then back home is Kala Sahib! so one way of getting out of this place, find Dutta! .. check both the, inside and the outsides of this house ..and tip toe and keep your brains switched on...got that all of you? come let's go! they all leave the basement..

Dutta's first attack

Dutta walks out on to the porch on the side of the house.The BGs and suds come out of through the front door of seema's house.. their red jeep is parked in front of the house.they come down the steps.. Dutta stands in the fresh air.. BG standing the grounds with their back to Dutta. one of them says, hearing Dutta Bhau's name slows me down, and the other BG says, yes don't know where he is.?. look lets spilt you go that way and I'll check this way. Dutta hears their voices. He feels the light swinging above his head.. carefully he pulls out his handkerchief ,cups it around the hot lit bulb.. and then smashes the bulb held in his hankie.. and carefully scatters the fine glass into a trail .. then he feels his way to the side of the porch and hides behind the parked jeep.. as he knew a BG, would come out of the house on to the porch, and comes down the steps and walks onto the crunching glass.. and Dutta gives an auditory clue.

Dutta by now is by the side of the red jeep.. he suddenly crouches. The camera shot is one where he has a profile of a lion waiting silently to attack it's prey! Mishal's profile... complete lion... mane and all!

The footsteps near Dutta.. as more glass crunches.. as soon as the BG comes close to the flank of the jeep.. Dutta suddenly moves up from crouching position to standing behind the BG ... then in silence he grabs the back of the

BGs neck and wrings it with a nasty click! The BG drops dead! and Sudarshan and the other BGs come and find their dead BG. Sudarshan and all check the smitten BG and one notices the trail of chipped glass..sudarshan loses it! and he runs to the side porch of house. .. his BG tries to tell him about the glass but Sudarshan panics, shut up you never know he'll pop up from nowhere and put a hole in you!

They get to the grounds, waving their guns pointing them to the rows of bushes and shrubs.. they scout in the darkness...Dutta remains behind the foliage.. again... this jungle ambush Dutta is quite used too.. he carried out the exercise.. during Naku's retrieval from Anna's den..

Like a tall, dark silhouette in the shadows of greenery.. Dutta moves with stealth... then another camera shot of Dutta crouched like a hiding lion! waiting to kill the predator .. his face in deep concentration.. ears listening out, toe poised on a bamboo pole.. he waits for the BG to come closer..then pow!! grips the BGs feet, trips him down and sticks the knife in his jugular! Then Dutta walks parallel to an armed BG.. a wall of greenery divides him from BG. Slowly Dutta dagger in hand, walks ahead.. matching his footsteps to the BGs.. suddenly they both stop at the end of the hedge. The BG points his gun at Dutta and Dutta grabs the gun pointed at him, turns it to the BG and shoots him... shots are heard.. Sudarshan, and the remaining BGs run toward's where the shots were heard..and he finds another of his BG shot dead!

Seema too comes running out of the house and stops by the black car. Seema sees Sudarshan who is about to shoot at the bushes and he tells Seema to shhh..Seema looks in panic as she watches Sudarshan and his BGs move off.. she crouches beside her car and cries,s o these people have ended up here too !hope they haven't done something to Dutta??

Sudarshan moves on gun poised.. Dutta too walks ahead with a gun pointed to an enemy..episode ends Hamlet53 29.9.14..

Superb episode I did a write up years ago.. maat bhul ke tu Dutta Bhau hai... after a longgg time I get to watch something after my own heart.. superb shots of mishal..

Great to see Dutta Bhau in action! his very presence..creates terror, both among Sudarshan and his BGs ..sudarshan won't admit though.. he thinks that Kala Bhau is now behind him.. so Dutta Bhau is nothing but a common criminal for him ..sudarshan is a man who backs the winner!
