Dutta's eyes
Dutta is asked to open his eyes and he does slowly.. doctor tells him, open them slowly, there'll be less burning,.. what can you see? Dutta looks around and all he sees is light.. hazy figures.. but his vision is blurred. He tries to widen his eyes, and jerks his head for clarity of vision. Then points to one direction and says, doctor I can see light..the doctor is delighted, congratulations! the operation is successful! Dutta says miserably, what success? everything appears faint before my eyes! the doctor says, have patience! with the passage of time all will be well.. distorted images will begin to clarify gradually ..dutta raises his palm before him and suddenly all is pitch dark before him. what the hell is going on here? he roars ,and the doctor says to him, if you unduly exert your optical nerves, it'll have a harmful effect on the treatment.. Seema grabs the opportunity and rests her hand on his shoulder. and says caringly, everything will be fine , don't lose your heart. Dutta casts his eye on her hand over his shoulder and shrugs her hand angrily off his shoulder. She feels rejected by his behaviour, the surgeon says, next week bring him for check up .. and don't worry everything will be well..and the doctor leaves.
Dutta is brought home.. chacha's phone rings and he looks at it and whisper "Chaskar" to Seema. But she tells not to answer, Seema says, Dutta you have some rest.. dutta replies , yes I will ,besides I want to be on my own.. he considers, phoning home.
Patil Nivas
The house phone rings, Kala looks around and dreads it might be Dutta. She picks the phone and gingerly finds out it's Sudarshan, he tells her, Tai listen to this , I am near the border of ratnagiri. and found out that about a month ago.. some dancers came across an injured man! near the roadside... isn't that the same time as Bhau's accident? Kala looks hopeful and says, for the first time you have given some great news! now you need to find out the whereabouts of all the brothels.. these brothels ,will lead us to Dutta!.. Sudarshan gets on to obey Kala's command. and Kala puts the phone down..
Seema's adda
Dutta dials the phone the house number.The phone rings and Naku picks up the phone. Saab!.. it's you speaking aren't you Saab ? Dutta smiles and says, how do you do this Naku? recognize my silence! I feel so incomplete without you?.. she is tongue tied and he says, hey Naku! say something? and she replies, what can I say Saab? all I know is that I want you before my eyes as soon as possible! return home! I know Saab that your life is in danger, both here and there, but Bappa will always be with you, and I have faith that soon you will amongst us..Dutta closes his eyes in bliss suddenly the door beats loudly... and he stops and says to Naku who worries about his sudden silence, I will ring you back! and he let's go of the phone which dangles above the floor..
Chaskar barges into the adda.. Naku is left holding on to the phone.
Chaskar looks around .. finds no one in sight !.. Seema comes running across the landing and coms to him.. Seema screams and Naku catches this on the phone, you here? I told you no more song and dancing here? Naku is puzzled.. song and dance! Saab!.. she taps the phone.. Seema screams at Chaskar, the brothel is closed! Naku hears a man's voice, yes I can see, that's what I have come to check why?...Naku clutches the phone and muses, about the voices, a man and woman's.. a brothel! where has Saab landed ?
Suddenly Chaskar spots the dangling receiver on the floor. He strides and puts it back on the cradle. Naku cries out Saab ! Saab!. Chaskar says, he's come to meet her grandma? call her, Seema tries to bluff him and he tells her.. I know you don't have a grandma and the pandit told me Iam going through good times.. but a woman will deceive me! Seema smiles at him and he pulls out his gun at her, and says, you are deceiving me? tell me have you found someone else? look Chanda before you snuff me out , I'll remove you out of my way! I don't want to take any risk, you see I love my self! so stop your act..
Dutta on ceiling fan
Dutta sits perched upon a ceiling fan.. listening to his enemy.. Seema looks up as Chaskar props up her chin with the point of his gun.. she worries Dutta might jump on Chaskar! Dutta's blood drips near Chaskar's shoe.. and Seema deftly moves him away and turns him out.. eventually.. Dutta jumps off the ceiling fan and Seema notices his hand bleeds.. she reaches out for it his hand and he pulls it away .I don't need your help! isn't this enough helplessness that my enemy being before me.. my hands my are tied due to my partial blindness! because of my eyes I have to hide like a common thief! woe be upon me!.. Seema yells, your hand is bleeding and the doctor asked you to rest, and not strain your optical nerves.. she runs to get a piece of silken cloth to bandage his hand.. he says ,Seema... Then pulls his hand and roars, Seema!!!!now this is not your right.. she is very confused by this statement.. ? Dutta has a FB of dusky Naku putting a bandage around his hand in the forest. He recalls how she tied a knot and pulled it tight with her teeth.. he now does the same and ties the knot so tight that his wound hurts and he rasps in pain. Seema is hurt by his violent rejection.
Patil Nivas
Baji finds Naku sitting on the floor holding the phone .. Baji asks her ,are you alright? why are you saying ring back Saab? Naku thinks should Baji be told? saab said don't? ..she gives him a sheepish look and he says, you'd better get up and go to your room and rest you are not well!..you kept a fast for Bhau ,hence you look weak ,get up! go and rest. you're sitting here talking to your self ! she smiles and tells him to leave.. but he grabs hold of her arm and forces her to leave. Baji comforts her, Naku I know you believe ,Bhau will return, our faith is backed by yours, but till yet he has not been seen! Naku insists, Baji you have faith in me ,Saab will phone back! Baji is confused, what?? he'll phone back? have you spoken to Bhau? Bhau phoned you? Naku tells him the truth , yes he phoned twice, only a short call, Saab said ,don't tell anyone! Baji smiles in happiness, hey Naku! your believe came true hey if he is alive why doesn't he come home? when is he coming home? naku says, I don't know, but don't say anything, but I heard a man and woman's voice, Saab is at some brothel , Baji my heart feels the man is a dangerous foe.. but why is Saab at the brothel? Baji there is some qood woman who has given Saab refuge and is looking after him.. Baji too wonders why? and Naku says , Baji all I know we will have to get to him.. Baji will you do something for me and he says, sure Naku, I'll do anything for him. episode ends Hamlet53~14. 9. 14
The highlights of the episode are one.. Kala comes to know like Naku that Dutta was retrieved by some singers and dancers.. the second one is the ridiculous/comic scene of Dutta perched on the fan..the CV's were busily.. murdering the role of the mighty protagonist Dutta, the don with a golden heart.. he is made into a laughing stock.. a lily livered lion, blinded and in hiding.. unable to pounce on his enemies while they are right under his nose..
Dutta was never an arrogant proud amongst the masses.. so why he was disgraced like this? defies me..
Seema muses.. is he single or not?
Finally Baji is given the value of being friend.. Naku tells him..

Seema thinks about the day's, events, Dutta saying, you have lost this right over more me! and Chaskar threatening her.. her uncle comes in, and asks, why are you so down Seema? She corrects him, don't call me Seema, call me Chanda! Seema is dead and I don't think I'll get another chance to live as Seema, so I am better off as Chanda the dancing woman! her uncle says ,what are you saying? and she says, why shouldn't I think that way? I have committed a huge sin.. deceived a man who loved me a lot! I tried so much to repent but god still didn't forgive me.. he prefers to see me with dancing anklets rather than vermillion on my forehead...it's seems Dutta will never trust me again! past times are bygones! Chacha consoles her, don't worry there is still time! Seema says, no chacha.. he phoned someone today.. and I think he has someone in his life, she is very fortunate indeed.. that's why he told us that he wanted to be left alone, because he wanted to ring someone. chacha says, may be he was talking to his mother, his sisters...yes if there was someone in his life.. he would take her name.. he didn't did he? he was unconscious but even by mistake he never took her name.. no one can stay away from one's beloved? she says, wish that was true.. but still he spoke to his family didn't he? and the truth is that he wants to go back to his family! I just want him to stay a little long so I can apologize to him.. but I doubt it if he will let me apologize.. either, chacha ji is the door to his room , left open..? he says yes.. hope he hasn't left! they both run to dutta's room.. it looks empty.. uncle looks around and Seema whispers, Dutta! they look outside.
Patil Nivas
It's nightfall and kala paces alone in the indoor garden area. Sudarshan joins her.. what is it tai ?why have you called me at this hour? She hisses at him, how can you sleep so soundly? He retorts, what is with you ?has Nakusha cast a spell over you! kala says, no she hasn't cast any spells on me, but even after Dutta exit ..we still don't have Patil wadi in our grasp! we are not in charge of power! many people are waiting to snatch that power ...the likes of Chaskar and other big fish! anyone can take Bhau's place and before we learn about it ,it'll be too late! maybe you are not aware but people have already bidding for Patil Wadi . Sudarshan says , what? bidding for Patil Wadi? It's ours Tai.. he says forcibly.. who has the guts to take Bhau's place? you said, didn't you Tai.. that when the time is right you will tell me who he said would be his successor! the time has arrived now! tell everyone I am the successor! Kala puts in his place, don't flap ..you can't do anything right without my instructions! and you want Dutta's place and rule Patil Wadi! and if you want to then you should know that you need to make your terror felt in the area! that's how one gains power! go look for Dutta bring him,and before all then kill him ! maybe then people might recognize how powerful we are! and after that you might just be able to sit in Dutta Bhau's place... now tell me did you find out about those dancers..? he says no.. and Kala puts pressure on him.. even Sudarshan seems to be cracking up! he yells why don't you believe it that Bhau is dead! she returns ok don't look for Dutta then! wait tell he gets here he'll kick you out and he'll make you go around with a begging bowl! such useless people I have in my army! and she storms off! Sudarshan glares at her.
Kala walks down the corridor in darkness.. she continues walking.. and she hears footsteps walking behind her .. she can't see anyone, in the shadows.. and she carries on walking and a man's footsteps can be heard also. She turns and she sees a silhouette standing against the table lamp. Kala asks. who is over there? is it you Sudarshan? who is it over there? the figure moves.. and largely in shadows, it says, what is it Tai? you don't even recognize your brother's ? Kala is horrified as the figure moves forward. Kala says. what a ridiculous joke!.. the figure dressed in black pathini says as it pulls a gun at her, I don't ever joke! and she sees the gun and screams no Dutta no! she races down the stairs! no Dutta! and the whole family gathers around her in the hall! Baji , Naku, Aye all turn up and Aye Sahib asks her,whats happened Kala ?did you have a night mare?the BG say they heard Kala Tai scream Sudarshan yells at them and sends them back to work! Kala holds her mothers hand..iam ok.. it was dark so I go frightened!aye Sahib says,I am sure it's something else.. you are not afraid of the dark.. tell me what's bothering you ?Kala glares at Naku and says. there's no such thing that I have hidden from you Aye Sahib.. I said the darkness frightened me I am fine you go rest..and Kala gives Naku a dirty look and Naku too gives her a quiet scoffing look. Baji is concerned.. and all leave till Kala stands all alone in the hall.. she still feels Dutta around..
Seema's adda
Chacha and Seema go looking for Dutta .seema panics, Dutta may have gone ,look for him! .. Dutta comes from behind a pillar.. he is walking around the hall..seema sees him and goes to him Dutta! where did you disappear? he turns his face to the side and replies I was suffocating in my room! went out for some fresh air.. Seema full of affection for him ,replies, look don't go out on your own! you know Chaskar has his eye on you.. Dutta roars at her..stop reminding me of my helplessness by repeating his name time and again! I know! and he walks away! suddenly bumping into the settee.. then he sits down.. Seema asks, what happened about the new house ?you know Chaskar cannot be trusted .. her uncle says, yes we have a new house now.. Seema says excited, let's go then, Seema gives him a loving look and he wears a stern disinterested looks..
night fall they wheel their luggage and leave the adaa .. Dutta waits for Seema and her uncle to leave then looks at the phone.
Seema's adda/PN
Naku passes through the indoor garden.. the phone rings and ring and she runs to answer it..saab... saaab!aap? Saab.. but seems she can't get through. Kala comes on the landing, with her phone in hand.. Naku speaks into the house phone..saab! why dont you say something? Saab this is Naku? say something Saab! Kala watches from the landing.. and muses, now Sudarshan , Chaskar may think I am mad but it's confirmed that Dutta is alive! and it also proves that you Nakusha are playing a game with me? and now watch I am going to turn this move around on you ! right in front of your eyes I will finish off your Dutta! she comes down the main stair case.. Naku carries on saying Saab! Saab! then Kala stands behind Naku who turns around and sees Kala.. and Kala shows Naku her mobile and then switches it off.. I was speaking to your Saab! impatiently you are waiting for his phone aren't you Nakusha? when will he ring? Naku replies now what game are you playing Kalavati? kala says , yes I am playing a game with you? for if I don't play game then how will I know that the man whose voice I heard was really Dutta? or is it some trick of yours. Naku says, why? you heard his voice didn't you? didn't you recognize his voice? Kala walks around Naku and says like a mad woman, why Naku are you and Dutta are trying to frighten me ..but I am not easily scared! Naku gives a mocking look, so you aren't afraid then? I can see fear written all over that face of yours ! now.. tell me the truth Nakusha, last night your Saab came to frighten me didn't he? he didn't have the guts to face me! so he ran away! Kala mocks.. and Naku asks, Saab came? This is impossible that he came and left without meeting me..kala snubs her. shut uour rubbish! I know full well that you know where Dutta is? you talk to him daily over the phone.. who knows you my be going to meet him! Naku says, you are so right! I meet him every day! wish I can tell him who is his real enemy.. maybe he knows already who is enemy is? that's why he is taking each step very carefully! Kala snubs her, don't try to be over clever with me Nakusha , tell me where his is? Naku walks away, and Kala insist, tell me where he is? because if you don't, then I will look for him and when I find him I'll kill him before every one! Naku turns to face Kala and both stare at each other.. and you won't even get to see his dead face! .. Naku glares and retorts ,do what you will! till Naku is alive, no one touch Dutta! you Kalavati are moving towards your destruction! you'll be finished! and Naku smiles wickedly and walks off with the house phone as Kala watches her leave and she thinks,for twenty five years I kept his hatred alive.. remember if Dutta is alive I'll be the one to dig his grave!... episode ends Hamlet53 15. 9.14
Seema's sin is not cheating Dutta In some matters of love.. it's turning a simple, hardworking young family man into a cold blooded killer, turning a human into an animal as he himself put it.
Seema realizes Dutta's disinterest.. she talks about facts that all point out that what she had with Dutta is lost forever.. have to say I was impressed by her judging the situation.
Kala is plagued by a guilty conscience.. seeing Dutta about.. interesting bit of drama as initially Dutta was shown not in his room.
