Dutta: Hammie you've summed it up perfectly indeed now that Dutta is 'blind' he is actually woken up to the reality-well in some sense anyway-the loss of his eyesight connotes the spiritual awakening of his senses. He now realises how 'blind' he was to true love and affection when NAku was with him. Now that is alone, he regrets his actions. The benefit of hindsight ey? I'm looking forward to seeing his awakening more. I feel the inevitable showdown between the two Patil lions(esses) AKA Dutta and Kala will be quite epic. In the meantime let's just hope Dutta learns a few more home truths, which are undoubtedly needed right now.

Seema: She seems to be stalling to me. I dunno maybe it is just the pace of the show which admittedly has always been slow paced, but I feel as though ever since she first saw Dutta lying on the bed in her house to now, nothing in fact has happened. AND that was weeks ago. Maybe she is stalling. I can't blame her, from her perspective this works in her favour, that being to seek redemption and maybe the longer she remains in his presence the more of an effect she hopes that would have on awakening his buried desires for her.yes cant blame her waise aurat jo ha.. hooker.. Of course she doesn't know that Dutta moved on, to her and here as much as I will always be TeamTasha I can understand her plight. It's the view that the more she does for him in his time of need the more likely he is to forgive her. But of course that's the problem, if she knew Dutta at all-which she doesn't even today-then she would realise that it't not the 'amount' of time spent with someone that earns them his respect and love but it is the quality of time spent with that one person.
she'll serve her purpose naila.. for now its to make him seek dependency.. on others.. develop restrain on past hates...later on she will become a martyr.. saachi pyar dutta ke liye

chacha: How cute is he? On which note I cannot be the only one who found the way Dutta has resorted to calling Chanda's chacha, chacha too quite endearing. It was actually quite cute when they left Dutta in the room and Chacha locked the door behind him and DUtta was calling out "chacha chacha" LOL. (Small things in life amuse me)

he's comic as well the scared faces he pulls..😆

Chaskar: with each episode this guy becomes more and more of a cartoon for me.

notice his shoes ,trousers,and shirtts umm vests.. ninja turtle!

Baji/Naku "Mission destroy newspapers": OK I am restraining myself here A LOT. This whole plot was cringe worthy apart from Baji's over the topness and the whole 'protect mother dearest to a completely whole new level' I found it a tedious plot. I get the point was to highlight "Dutta is dead" SO that AS would wake up and everyone will perform the last rites so as to speak. BUT they could have done without it. I know it was also supposed to replicate the power that Dutta has, it is big news that he is gone but still...or may be my problem is just with the poor execution of the story. I dunno.

As to Naku dressing up as Dutta: call me weird but it was kinda cute. Maybe because of how petite Mahi really is or maybe because I couldn't help but wonder how would Dutta react to seeing Naku in his jacket pointing a gun at someones temple: I feel some rather ;) type thoughts would come to his head! LOL

i too enjoyed her he she look.. but she does clarify saab without you i have no identity.. it showed humility... on her part..

What else? Maybe I'll think of something, but I think for the most part I covered all the ground?

Episode ~268

28th January 2011

Naku

Still amongst the disruptive crowd Naku, gets a vow from her supporters that they would challenge any disruptive elements. The crowd in a frenzy gets hold of the two men who orchestrated the vandalism Naku rebukes the crowd, leave them , why have you started again.? they made a mistake , allow them another chance, they too are Bhau's subjects! and all damages to property will be made good from your Dutta Bhau's treasury! Naku assures them ,like a true leader.. and joins her hands and raises them up like Dutta did, when he descended the steps of the mandir during the Shiv puja.. waves at their cheers, of vahini Saab! raises her hand and moves through the crowd as Dutta did.. at the Shiv temple...and Baji drives her away. She holds his gun and thinks about the newspaper fabrications message.. police ends search , and Dutta shriram patel is pronounced dead... she recalls the man who says. he's came from the neighbouring village.. money plus newspaper was given to them by an unknown person.. Baji says, whatever's happening is not good. The enemy is very dangerous.. and unnamed.. without our knowledge he incited the whole village into rebellion, sent them the newspaper and money.. I am getting so mad! Naku silently has a FB of Kala , drumming into Naku.. Dutta's dead! get ready to give him a fond farewell...you wait Nakusha.. Dutta will never return! Naku replies, Baji we look for the enemy outside, but the enemy may be close to us..? very close.. she is so cunning that she defies being caught! Baji is baffled .. "she"..are you saying the enemy is a woman? on letting out too much Naku , raises Baji's aware ,it's not necessary that the enemy has to be a man, it can be a woman too.. Baji asks brashly, whom do you suspect ? Naku replies, never mind about suspicion Baji, I am more concerned about Aye Sahib, today we hid the newspaper from her, but what off tomorrow ? Baji reminds her, Naku not only Aye Sahib but the whole of Patil Wadi believes you, surely you understand! Naku replies, I know that Saab is alive and he will return!

Seema's adda

At night Dutta , walks gingerly , feeling his way around the dancing floor in the entertaining room.. he bumps on the steps and climbs up.. feels the landing floor and sits on the steps.. he recalls ,his last telephonic conversation with Chaskar.. you never asked me about the venue of the meeting.. and Chaskar had said.. it's the land's end , but that's where the land we want to buy is..it's my dream that Chaskar will make a huge housing project!.. hey beauty queen.. I killed Dutta Bhau!..Dutta regrets, how could you make such a big blunder Dutta! you trusted the enemy! now who will you trust ? FB.. Seema tells him ,that Chaskar knows you are alive, it was in the paper.. so best you stay here longer.. stay here ,just trust me! he thinks ,the one due to whom I took on this life of crime.. are you going to trust her dutta ? deeply troubled , he hears Saab! and turns his head.. as the voice calls Saab! again he gets up from the step and gropes his way toward's the voice. Naku? he strains his ears and walks with his arms spread out hearing and feeling out for her.. Naku ? music starts and the song from Baghban film plays.. "I am here and you over there.. where is life? only you, I see when I lift my eyes.. sleep escapes me, your memory stays by me.. can't live without you now.. I am here, and you over there.. where is my life? Dutta has FB's of how he physically tortured her...when I was with you.. I never understood your love.. and today when I don't know where I am myself.. I am only looking for you Naku.. how unfortunate I am.."why does your face never leave my eyes".. he feels the thread on his wrist that Naku had tied hey! it's your prayers that keep me alive to this day! and my sins.. due to which I am punished with this blindness.. "even if I wanted too , I cannot say anything to you.. how can I tell you my pain"... he feels his way forward and trips on the floor seating..

Naku sits in the jeep.. her heart sings, "I am here and you are over there! where is life?..Naku has FBs of moments with Dutta..

Dutta sits on the floor seating.. " memories of times spent with you I recall when I am alone.. the silence speaks and I cry secretly .. its been ages since I smiled.. only have a tearful tale".. Dutta kneels and yearns, just this once come before me Naku.. I feel very lonely.. I am repentant ..just call me once Naku! just once..now I won't be able to see you.. Saab! Dutta still on his knees turns his neck.. sees nothing then stands , miserable ..then he hears her, Saab don't worry.. I will trust you forever, I too long to hear your voice, call out to me Saab! talk to me..phone me Saab.. I will definitely pick your phone call.. Dutta stands musing if he should ring again..

Patil Nivas

Baji and Naku enter the long corridor of patil nivas ..they are greeted with copies of newspaper showing news of Dutta's death. Baji collects them all and Naku notices a gathering of people dressed in white. Both pass through the onlookers and Naku sees Dutta's picture with a garland around it a woman prays for his soul. Naku shouts, stop right there! runs forward and shouts,who has put this photo here? the family looks at her..who says,Saab is not alive? the woman replies , everyone knows it's printed in the newspaper. Naku confronts and shouts, it's all lies that news! I say that Saab is alive! I am telling you he'll come back! I am telling you he's alive! all of you just leave! haven't I said leave all of you! no one moves ,thinking she's mad ,as the papers had said.. Sudarshan wants to throttle Naku but Leela holds him back! haven't you heard me just go!... Nakusha!! scolds Aye Sahib accompanied by a scoffing Kala.. Naku says taken aback, Aye Sahib, but Aye Sahib s checks her, that's enough Nakusha! and she puts the garland back on Dutta's photo.. Kala looks on victoriously... Aye says, I've had enough of your talk Nakusha! you hid the truth from all of us! you us told such a big lie! why Naku? Naku defends herself, no Aye Sahib I told no lie.. I still maintain that Saab is alive and will return! he must be stuck in some work! he must be in some kind of trouble!..

Kala puts on Chaskar's video made on Dutta's crash.. all stand and watch on a lap top that Kala manages and then enjoys Naku, Baji and her mother's grief when they watch the recording of Dutta's horrible end! Naku turns to see Aye Sahib suffer.. Kala feigns a sad look and says, this morning someone left this , but didn't come before us due to fear.. but after seeing this, we have to believe that Dutta Bhau is no more in this world.. she glares at Naku.Aye Sahib turns Naku to face her and says, this is the truth Naku.. you knew ,but you still concealed it from all of us! accuses Aye Sahib.and adds, not just you Naku.. but both of you hid this truth from us! you didn't just remove all the papers of the house , but from the village as well..and you both came to remove the newspaper from my room didn't you? why did you do this Naku? and that's why you didn't sit with me in the worship too? Naku is too upset to speak and Aye Sahib, moves over to Baji..you were with Dutta , weren't you Baji?you saw everything happen with your eyes.. I think of you as my son.. but still you kept your Aye in the dark.. why did you Baji ..?why did you side with Naku? why did you lie to me Baji? why? why? and she slaps Baji's face! much to Kala and Sudarshan's joy.. Naku comes to Aye Sahib and says, Aye Sahib please trust us! this is definitely the work of the enemy.. Aye Sahib gives her a freezing look than before every one Aye Sahib slaps Naku! and Kala eyes look avenged! All are shocked .. as Naku recovers from the slap and says Aye Sahib.. who says, who is the enemy ,you don't have to tell me Naku! I accepted you, trusted you! and this is how you repay me? why Naku? this is the second time you have deceived us! Naku pleads, listen to me some one! Saab is alive I say so! Aye Sahib raises her hands, enough Naku! just stop it! and Naku looks at Aye Sahib's face in disbelief.. episode ends, Hamlet53 9.9.14

The dilemma that Naku faces in this episode is whether or not to expose Kala as the unidentified enemy to Baji?... she decides against it..she probably wants him to make his own judgment about Kala..?

But she does give Baji a hint about the possibility that the foe may be a woman..

Pity , Baji has no reason to suspect Kala.. why not? he heard and was present when Kala was exposed before.. it seems Baji thinks she has turned a new leaf..

Some moving scenes on Dutta.. where he evaluates his past behaviour towards Naku ,and distance makes him want her..

Dutta too has a dilemma whether he should trust Seema.. he also evaluates his erroneous judgment of trusting the low level small time thief Chaskar..

Sad day for Naku as she loses her support from Aye Sahib,

Kala yet again makes real the unreal, true the untrue!

Patil Nivas

Aye Sahib protests before Naku, enough Naku! because of you my son's spirit roams around restlessly! because of you we weren't able to give him a proper funeral! what did you gain from torturing my son's soul? Naku is very hurt by Aye's words , Baji, Kishore , feel sympathy for Naku and Kala looks at Naku's donned on Dutta image. She slithers forward like a snake and announces before all, can't you understand by now! what this Nakusha gained? Can't you see for yourself? she aspired to replace Dutta Bhau! isn't that so Nakusha?aye Sahib looks at Naku wearing Dutta's waist coat.. Naku replies,Kala Tai ,such a serious allegation upon me? I never aspired to take Saab's place! this responsibility was put upon me by the villagers! Kala mocks, brilliant !the villagers gave you this responsibility and you donned his image! and left the house! not only did you mislead us, but the whole of Patil Wadi! you went around giving people false hopes that Dutta Bhau will return! people got swayed by your lies! those people never made you Bhau, but you yourself were dying to become Dutta Bhau! that's why you put up all this act!! Naku silently turns her neck and looks at Dutta's photo graph! But Baji flies to her rescue, Kala Tai this is not true, Naku only.. Kala snaps at Baji, you be quiet Baji! don't interfere in family matters! Dutta Bhau considered you one of his own! Aye Sahib, considers you as her son, and I tied rakhi on you! considered you as my brother, that's why you are alive!and have some significance, otherwise you have already become a puppet in Nakusha's hands! hope you too are not in a hurry to become the right hand man of the new Dutta Bhau?.. Naku and Baji are deeply hurt by Kala's poisonous words!.. Baji still goes to Aye Sahib and tries to explain.. aye Sahib I swear! nothing like the sort happened...I just went to calm the villagers to support Naku! because I too believe that Bhau is alive! Kala intervenes to save her skin as she sees that Baji might influence her mother, don't you utter another word! don't you have any pity on seeing Aye Sahib 's condition, I'll sort you later! but let me deal with the one who deceived every one! why Nakusha? is it possible that you are the one who planned the attack on Dutta Bhau? Naku cries and pleads, this is a lie Aye Sahib ,how could I do such an act? I love Saab! Kala pounces on her, if you love Bhau ,then why did you hide the news about his death??if you love have truly.. then why are you wearing his name's vermillion? why are you wearing mangulutra? Take it off.. if you really love Dutta Bhau ,then with your own hands remove the vermillion and the mangulsutra you wear in his name! Kala challenges a horrified Naku.. who begs, aye Sahib! don't commit this ill omen, don't press me to become a widow while Saab is alive! I have gone through many trails for Saab's love! don't ask me to take this test! Kala says, fine Nakusha , if you can't wipe off your vermillion.. then I'll have to do it for you! and she raises her hand to wipe it off from Naku's forehead.. Naku grabs her arm tightly in mid air and stops her, before every one and warns, don't you ever try to touch my vermillion again! otherwise I too will raise my hand ! Kala sneers, fantastic !Nakusha we respected you as our vahini and you talk about raising your hand on us..is this the respect you have for this family? till today, my Bhau has never raised his voice at me and you talk about striking me?.. Naku calls out Aye Sahib..kala grabs the moment and wipes Naku's vermillion off! in a split second! with her free hand.. Naku is stunned and Kala victoriously rejoices.. she has always wanted to defile nakusha ,always aimed to break this marriage.. at last she did it! Naku is so broken that she goes to Dutta's picture , considering herself a widow! All watch.. and Aye Sahib suddenly faints.. and Kala orders she be taken away.. and Kala gives a feigned speech..on behalf of my whole family I wish to apologise to you all..I am aware our vahini has played a filthy game with you! but this too I know that you all love Bhau..but for the moment you all leave this place.. but do come for his memorial service..and the crowd leaves.

Baji looks at Naku seated beneath Bhau's photo and he goes toward's her , Naku!..but Kala stops him from meeting Naku.. stop there! and next time don't interfere in family matters! now get lost! she says full of hatred for him.. Sudarshan gives an evil smile. .much impressed by the great Kala bai! Once Baji leaves Kala crouches beside Naku ,before Dutta's picture while Sudarshan enjoys the scene.. as Kala with great authority takes off Nakusha's mangulsutra.. a dead Naku sits mute during the act.. Kala holds it in her palm and gives Dutta's photo an amused defiant look! and then dangles the mangulsutra before Naku's face like a psychiatrist hypnotising a patient in a trance ..then let's go of it, till it drops on the floor... Sudarshan loves the scene.. then she gets up and throws a white sari before Naku on the floor; and says. wear this white sari, and if you say so I'll get some black soot for you too.. because you are disgraced before all of Patil Wadi.. she tweaks Naku's face and then stands and leaves. Naku stares at Dutta's picture. Naku feels the mangulsutra.. lying on the floor next to the white sari and she sobs..

Dutta

Dutta mutters, Naku ..and dials the number..the phone rings and Naku turns to listen.. she wipes her tears and says, Saab! the phone rings and she runs to pick it up! straightaway she says,Saab! and Dutta asks, are you crying Naku? her face twists in pain.. and then she says, you? are you Saab that's speaking? am I dreaming? Saaabb! and he hides his pain and says, yes Nakusha..it's me that's who is speaking.. Naku realizes what this means.. Saab? she sobs.. and sinks down on the floor with the phone to her ear. Saab...Dutta too sits on the step at Seema's adda.. and he listens as Naku sobs.. hey Naku..stop crying now. Naku sobs, I looked everywhere for you! where did you go?you don't know the state I am living in..you don't know what's being done to me over here! What's it to you anyway.. you don't love me. my love means nothing to you! Dutta replies.. sorely, you told me if ever I called you.. you will come to me.. can't you hear.. my heart is calling for you since ages..now I can't stay away from you Naku.. Bappa has punished me for staying apart from you! his voice cracks.. my eyes only want to see you Naku..all around they are looking for you ,but you can't be seen!..both Dutta and Naku cling to the phone and cry.. silently as chacha sings a song in the brothel.. Seema comes.. from the side.. "my eyes still wait for you even today, where are you? for this heart is restless even today.." FB..Dutta ~ Naku laagi thujhse lagan sequence.."don't know why after seeing him , I felt..that my heart still has right over him.." Seema looks on and has FBs about her and Dutta in the garage.. Dutta recalls Naku in the laagi song.. Naku sings,"that love, for which I gave up everything". Seema thinks "for the sake of true love that love still hurts today".. Seema recalls Dutta throwing money at her in the rain.. before seeing her for the last time. Dutta's heart cries out.."my eyes seek you out even today, where are you? as this heart is restless for you even today" Seema finds Dutta sitting on the steps holding the phone...episode ends Hamlet53 9.9.14.

What a power packed episode.. last part a big tear jerker.. both the M's were marvellous!

Kala carries out the final onslaught on Naku and her image.. Kala assumes victory as she forces Naku to be what Kala desires Naku to be .. a vulnerable, lonely, broken widow! She dispirited Naku's moral.. the black soot Kala refers to is more to do over here as the stigma of being a widow in society.. as some who brings ill omen.. a cursed state for a woman to be in.. Kala has forced Naku to assume this role..

Kala has also punished Naku.. for daring to usurp the privilege vacancy of Dutta's position.. that Kala hankered for all her life..

Highlight of the episode..

The sweet tasha phone call is typical of a wife complaining to her husband over the phone.. you don't care about me..you don't love me! with loads of tears... and Dutta moaning ,you said you'll come when I call you.. and you didn't..
