Dutta& Suresh
Suresh pushes the picture of him and koel Naku..in Dutta's face. He says this is me, and this here is Nakusha. Baji and Aye Sahib , Dutta glares at the picture.. Suresh takes it to Baji, see I wasn't talking rubbish! this is me and Nakusha! takes it to Aye Sahib, shows it to her! she regrets seeing the picture... then like a charged bomb shows it to Sudarshan! who then stirs Dutta! desperate for a show down! hey Bhau this is Nakusha.. Suresh heads back to Dutta and holds the picture in front of him, look Bhau! everyone is shocked.
This then is the truth of the dusky Nakusha !.. Dutta takes off the photo from Suresh's hand and then looks at with a furrowed look studies it.. take a good look Bhau! this then is Nakusha's truth! that Nakusha planned that she would marry a rich ,influential man, like yourself! as soon as the wedding day..arrives she will do away with the dusky face! and reveal her beautiful face! she thought you will be trapped by her beauty!.. Dutta looks at the picture , controls his temper from erupting by Suresh caustic words of Nakusha's reality.. Suresh says , Bhau I got trapped! but you don't get trapped! I have come to save you! .. Dutta holds up the photo .. looks at it with tenderness.. Suresh calls, Bhau you punish Nakusha! gave her such a severe punishment to this nakusha !that I am avenged!..let your punishment to her, be an example to those women who set about cheating men! Dutta looks at the photo twists his lips.. his face clouds up.. all present are sure it's Naku's face that are getting him to have irate looks.. Dutta's face shows deep hurt as he stares at the photo. punish her Bhau! . Sudarshan smiles expectantly .. Dutta twists his mouth, one hand holds the picture up and he raises his free hand, takes it to the centre of the photo , and tears it right from the top from centre and hurls Suresh's photo on the floor and looks and then folds Naku's picture and slides it down into his breast pocket! All present especially the anti Dutta's camp are in shock.. Aye Sahib and Baji rejoice silently.. thankful, that there is still some sanity left in Dutta.. Suresh is perplexed and waits.. Dutta nearly loses his balance, then steadies himself against the sofa and glares at Suresh.. and clinches his jaw...and looks at Suresh with pitiful eyes. Sudarshan looks confused ,it was the contrary reaction that he expected from Dutta! ..then suddenly Dutta gathers his strength and strikes Suresh with a resounding slap across his face! such is the force that Dutta 's body twists in rage and the impact of Dutta Bhau's slap .. lands Suresh on the floor! All ears hear, and all eyes turn to Suresh prostrate on the floor.. Kala is struck with a bolt of lightening! Dutta swaggers above the struck Suresh and gives him a cold deathly look. Baji is surprised and Naku turns to look. Suresh feels his tingling cheek and Dutta pulls out his gun out his trouser pocket and points the gun at Suresh who struggles to find his feet, and on his knees protests, Bhau I was.. before he finishes, Dutta lowers the nozzle off his pistol on the bridge of Suresh's nose!
Terrified Suresh looks up at Dutta up from, behind the nozzle of the pistol. Dutta cranks his face to one side .. Naku gives Kala a jeering smile.. Dutta growls, either you are courageous? or mighty stupid! that you morphed and made a false image of Dutta ShreeRam Patil's wife!! you dared to falsely accuse her! roars Dutta! Naku drops the copy of the photo and overcome by emotions goes and stands partly hidden by the curtain. Dutta says dangerously , how dare you!! Suresh gun to his head is scared out of his wits! Kala and her evil jing bang look verrry sheepish.. fearing this idiot may? open his mouth before Dutta's gun.. Dutta bends his knees and emphasizes to Suresh.. I'll count till three ! and you'll tell me who sent? and who do you work for? one! ..two.. three! Dutta tilts his gun to pull the trigger on Suresh!... but Sudarshan.. runs and stops Dutta! one second Bhau!blood shed before Aye Sahib? besides why do you taint your hands for this dirty guttersnipe? no Bhau you leave this man to me! ..Kala breathes a sigh of relief! Sudarshan grabs Suresh by the collar and tells him off, you cheapster! you have the nerve to malign Naku vahini!.. Dutta glares at Suresh.. and Naku moves her eyes from the scene to Kala.. who glares back at Naku.. unwilling to accept defeat.
But her pet poodle Sudarshan , continues to sprinkle salt on Dutta's wounds as.. he points his gun at Suresh's temple.. Bhau! heaven alone knows from where, he found out about Naku vahini's secret? and now he is black mailing all of us! Bhau just hand him over to me I'll sort him out! get a move on you!
Sudarshan literally pulls Suresh out of the situation as Dutta looks on.. Sudarshan gun on Suresh 's temple orders him, now take the chance and get the hell out of here! and pushes him out.. Dutta gives Baji and his mother a... I hope you are happy.. look! .. Dutta gives his mother" a yeah right! look but I am still sore with you lot.. Baji, Aye, Naku.. and then, puts his gun in his pocket and walks off! Baji signals Aye Sahib to go after Bhau as he me be smarting? I suspect, he wishes he could support his friend..
Dutta to get to his wooden stairs walks past Bappa's statue where Naku stands.. pauses and gives Naku a scowl..don't you think I have forgiven you look.. Naku just accepts his glare.. Kala is trying to figure out the situation.. is there still a chance of keeping these two apart?.. Dutta ignores both women and goes up the stairs.
Naku & Kala
Both women move toward's each other.. before Bappa's idol.. Kala expects Naku to blow her trumpet.. Naku stands before her and just stares at a bemused Kala. ..but Naku moves to Bappa's idol..and offers her thanks to her god. Kala looks defiantly, at Naku performing obeisance... then Naku turns from Bappa and glares at her enemy! slowly moves to Kala and looks at Kala pitifully.. Naku has a FB.. Kala scoffing at her, if today Dutta Bhau doesn't kick you out, then you can slap me down and proclaim your supremacy!.. now Naku moves to Kala.. who braces herself with humiliating tears , ready for Naku to overpower Kalavati. Naku raises her arm up to slap kalavati.. Kala cannot accept that Naku would really strike her.. but Naku lowers her arm reaches out for Kala hand and puts offertory in it.. and says.this is Bappa's parsad.. I don't need to slap you Kalavati, for time itself has dealt you such a blow that it will be unforgettable for you till you live!..this is the difference between a girl from the slums and a lady Kalavati of this house. My victory stands for joy, not arrogance! today my victory is in my love, in my faith in Bappa! .. naku looks down at Kala's folded palm and taunts, your defeat may have left a bitter taste in your mouth, eat Bappa's offertory it will sweeten your mouth.. Kala glares at Naku. Naku gives her a pathetic look and walks off.. Kala looks at the offertory ..puts it back defiantly on the altar and glares at Bappa's idol. .. refuses the parsad then defiantly places it back on the altar..
Dutta & Aye Sahib
Dutta needed a wash.. too much drama.. or is it to cure his hangover? quick refreshing wipe..and then a look over at the man in the mirror.. did I do justice? Suresh demanded it.. but Dutta gave Naku the just verdict.. did he do the right thing..? he asks himself.. of course he did! that whimp Suresh talked rubbish about Dutta's woman.. the koel Naku that he loves!.. yes he misses her still ,he hurts for his koel Naku.. Dutta pulls out the part of morphed photo that had Naku in it.. from his breast pocket... he looks at koel Naku carefully and then recalls the fair Naku that he was checking out in the jeep...is there a similarity between these two?. May be??.. Suresh 's words come to Dutta "this Naku that you have married is a cheat of the first degree..take a look at this photo..."
Aye Sahib calls out from Dutta's door, can I speak to my son?.. Dutta turns from his dresser and looks at his waiting mother. Sulkily he says, come in Aye..she makes her self comfortable on his lime green settee..he stands above her with a swollen face.. not willing to comply.. he was still cross with her.. he hides Naku's picture behind him.. and she asks him tenderly to sit by her.. but of course he turns away his sulky face...but then gives in and sits next to her stiffly.. on his three seater settee.. she smiles at his silly moody turns.. and then she says what Dutta needs most a well done son! what you did today, my heart is at peace.. you gave an apt reply to the person slandering Naku! you gave him such a telling off, he'll never dare to even look at our house.. but apart from that ,I am well pleased that you called Nakusha your wife in front of every one...really I loved it ,Dutta.. Dutta sits facing away from his mother ,just listening to her speak.. Aye continues.. look son you eat food cooked by her, you eat from her hand[ what? how does she know] but only when you are drunk.. and in the morning when you wake up, you are sober.. and hatred in your heart sets in again.. shall I tell you why, this is so?.. it's because when you are in a drunken state you listen to your heart, that's why you think about Naku... and in the morning when you wake up, you are sober, you think with your mind.. Dutta irritated, that's not true Aye.. I act according to my mind.. besides there's no point in talking and repeating such things...but Aye Sahib replies, look son I know every iota of you! if you go astray than it's my place to reprimand you! look son, how long are you going to deny the reality? you love your wife Nakusha! just take a look at your hands, even now you are holding on to her picture.. Dutta... use your heart.. not your mind in this matter!.. Dutta wrestles .. emotionally and then finally just lets go of her Naku's rolled up picture on his centre table...finally he finds his feet and strolls away from his mother.. how much more deceit can I bear Aye? so, now I can't understand these matters of the heart and the mind anymore! besides in this latest deceit all my near and dear ones have cheated me!.. aye Sahib, clarifies. look son, she didn't deliberately hide the truth from you.. she was bound by limitations! Dutta walks away and growls, what restrictions Aye? in the slums she was restricted! She had to hide her real face, but what was the problem in this house? she was here for the past good eight months Aye! who has she to fear? who in my house will cast an evil eye on her? . ok! she had got the message that I loathe beautiful girls, so she decided to hide her face.. but still won my trust and my heart... but right on the nuptial night.. she decided to reveal the truth abouther true self... just don't remind me Aye Sahib!.. I lose my mind! first it was Seema! then Supriya.. Aye Sahib stops him. don't compare Naku with Seema and Supriya! I have yet to meet a more pure hearted and sincere girl! how much she tolerates and puts up with in this house till date ! is commendable! had there been another girl in her place ,she would have walked out on you by now! but Naku! she has stayed in this house.. you need to think why?
Dutta looks shamefaced, and defends himself,I understand every thing Aye! and I am not comparing Naku with any one.. I never doubted her character, or her love! but what did I overlook? that Naku did not trust me or my love for her??.. answer me? why did Naku not trust me? why didn't she come to me first ,and talk about her truth??.. every since I was a child it was deceit that I always hated! .. now this betrayal I will not forget, and these words I have spoken with a sane mind and not in a drunken stupor.. ...he tells his mother clearly.. episode ends Hamlet53~ 8.8.14
Now the question that springs to my mind in this episode regarding Dutta's confrontation of Suresh is.. that did Dutta perform this act under the influence of alcohol..? where by as his mother points out he tends to think by his heart?
Kala's war stratagem is fairly clear.. widen the gap between D/N.. hence, serve constant reminders to Dutta about his short falls and weaknesses , so he continues to be dispirited .. hence in Suresh scene too.. Kala' hench man suds , reminds Dutta of the original rift between tasha.. FR..
Dutta is a loyalist when it comes to his familial relationships.. he believes , they can never betray him.. not even in his wildest dreams can he fathom that Kala.. Sudarshan are behind this Suresh episode.. hence Dutta is happily doing what his BIL.. the security head.. suggests, hand him over to suds to deal with..
Naku opening shows Kala that she has the gods on her side , as they side righteousness.. this annoys Kala to no end.. Kala like Dutta has her own little crusade against the gods.. Kala reckons she has the wisdom to mould her own destiny.. normally Kala follows the religious rites of the family.. but has a problem with the same gods when Naku sings their praises about them aiding her in battling Kala.
The last scene to me was the highlight of the episode.. endearing scene between the doting mother and the school boy son.. such love there was.. he can hate every one but not his mamma..
The crux was.. why did Naku not trust me, and my love? she could have told me the truth..
Dutta's cry.. she never told me.. never gave me the chance to decide for myself... I was the last to find out..
