Shiva's temple
Episode picks up from the point when Kala gives Ravi and Supriya a sarcastic smile and says, take a good look around you! Dutta shriRam Patil's men are posted at every corner of the temple! this is my Bhau's power! and you thought you could hoodwink every one and runaway?.. she says acidly, my dear vahini! you thought that by singing sings, doing a dance you could win my Bhau's trust!.. in a wave Kala also makes fun of her brother secretly , Dutta who flipped for this girl , over one song... there is no end to Kala's venom, leaves others wondering is she standing up for Dutta or is against him..
With a wave of her gun she scoffs at Supriya , any time ,I can have a hundred dancers like you! dancing for my Bhau! what did you think that your false act of love could win Bhau's heart.? and our Bhau would lose his heart to you? loosen all his security and come here and ring the temple bells! sneers Kala at Supriya... just take a look over there! she invites them.. Ravi looks and sees the courtyard full of people, looking up toward's the temple stairs. Waiting..Kala boasts, in Dutta's village , Dutta's would be wife has cheated on Dutta!..people of his village love Dutta to such an extent, that even in their own families if someone cheats on Dutta they do not spare them! then what chance do you stand?.She brags to threaten and belittle them. She repeats, then how can I let you off? take another look for yourself! at the power of Dutta Bhau! Ravi and Supriya hear the chanting of Dutta's longevity , long live Dutta Bhau! women, children old and young shouting and raising their arms . Kala claims boldly, even if a kid from his crowd comes to know that you two have cheated Dutta Bhau! then you will not find a single part of this body that you guard ! she mocks at Ravi, who looks to a crying Supriya by his side..Kala turns to face the crowd as they shout long live Dutta Bhau.. take a look! she reiterates to them.
Dutta ~ Baji
Baji in a hurry rushes in accompanied by his BGs.He weaves through the yelling crowd and makes way to the temple steps and climbs them looks around vigilantly.
Dutta as he continues to participate in the puja puts forward his head and receives the red tilak and the blessings upon his forehead by the priest .Baji in a hurry arrives and posts himself behind Dutta who goes through the final section of the puja. Baji looks to the crowd and calls Bhau!. Dutta moves his neck and folds his arms to the priest and pushes himself up to stand and gives a final clasped sign of obeisance to the altar with a serious face.. with a yank to his head, he hears the chanting of his name, long live Dutta Bhau !
Dutta turns his body gradually and stands up in the ornate frame of the door way against the back drop of the wood carved rear section of the Shiv temple. His majestic frame is flanked by suspended diva holders on either sides of his bare shoulders. He looks ahead at hordes of people gathered in the temple courtyard. Hears the monotonous chants of his name, long live Dutta Bhau! Baji turns to look at the crowd and smiles. Still at entrance door of the temple, Dutta's narrows his eyes,and shifts them across the huge gathering of peoples... and slowly and regally walks ahead, out of the temple door and approaches the waiting figures of Baji and his BG's. He looks with a scowl at the noisy crowd and then in annoyance at Baji . Baji clarifies, look Bhau! I have nothing to do with this, the word just spread in the village that you were here at the temple, Bhau they actually want to see your bride, as soon as I found out that so many people had gathered, I dashed up here. .. Baji looked around Dutta, but Bhau were is vahini? Dutta as if in a trance suddenly realizes she is missing and his eyes move around, he says dryly, she was here .. suddenly he realizes and says , Baji she's on her own. Baji calls the BG, gaikwad! and pulls out his gun. Dutta growls at him, what are you doing? put the gun away , this is a temple. Collected and calm Dutta says , don't worry she must be looking around the temple, go take a look.. Baji appears worried and dashes off with his BG's.
Dutta looks worried now and stands at the mandir door with his arms behind his back.

Kala ,Supriya,Ravi
Supriya continues with her begging pleas of pardon. Tai I swear! I didn't have any intentions of cheating Dutta! I don't love him! I don't wish to marry him! Kala looks at her with narrowed suspicious eyes , and Supriya continues to sob and argue, Tai it would be a lie, I am a simple girl, you have such a huge house! Dutta ji is such a powerful man! with so much wealth! I will be happier with Ravi in a small house. Rather than marry Dutta ji and cheat all of you! it would be better if you kill me! she says desperately . Kala raises her eyes brows , against her held up gun.. Supriya cries , Tai just empty all these bullets on me! Tai rather than marrying Dutta !and live like a corpse ,it's better that I die! so just kill me! she pleads, before a much intent spectator Kala.
Ravi now adds, Tai , I swear , I never came here to dupe Dutta Bhau! I only came here to save Supriya. Trust me I am just an ordinary man! had it not been for Supriya's love, I would have been part of this crowd singing Dutta Bhau's praises my self!, in fact not just me, but any one from this whole district, would give their life for Dutta Bhau ! I cannot even think of duping him! trust me Tai . assures Ravi.
Kala gun in hand looks at Supriya and says, it's true that whosoever doesn't love Bhau how can they marry Bhau!.. but even then, I won't let the both of you leave this place so easily..you will definitely be punished! and she points her gun at the terrified, helpless couple. Kala says to Supriya at gunpoint , you Supriya ! go away from here! before my brother realizes what has happened. She then turns her gun to Ravi , and you! Mr. bodyguard! go back home.. and both of you meet me in my room at night!.. I will decide your punishment at that time. orders Kala. Ravi pleads ,Tai ! but Kala warns them, don't act over clever with me! or else I will have to use this gun.. she finishes off with the pair squirming for their lives. So Kala ends this macabre gunpoint meeting. Let's them leave with a sword dangling over Supriya Ravi's heads.
Dutta ~Naku
Dutta stands to attention at the top of the temple steps, his arms behind his back. He waits for Supriya and watches the crowd below. Naku comes sullen face from the side of the temple and hears and looks to the crowd from the elevation of the temple too. The sight possibly disturbs her, the militant raising of the arms and the shouting of his name. She leans forward and sees Baji run up to Dutta followed by BGs. Bhau I couldn't find vahini.. says Baji. Dutta muses , turns his head and catches sight of Naku. he calls her name , Naku! come here... she looks down and thinks.. should she go to him..? then she puts her puja thali on the altar ,and slowly and seriously walks towards him and stands before him with her head bowed. With almost a right he asks her, what are you doing here?. Naku replies I came to do puja. He blinks his eyes silently. Baji asks , Naku have you seen vahini? Naku fumbles, just now.. Dutta says , answer him! speak up why are you scared?. She replies , I saw her going the steps of the temple, she was in a hurry, said she had to give some money to the priest. Dutta pulls his mouth to one side and lowers his eyes.
Kala ,Supriya,Ravi
Kala takes an evil delight in looking at their faces, she reminds them that they don't have another option, other than do as she has ordered them to follow, you don't need to think, thinking is Kalavati's forte.. now get lost !. Ravi says , yes Tai. and Supriya turns and leaves to presumably join Dutta . Ravi watches her leave and Kala mocks him, hey hero! I asked you to get lost from here, so get lost! she glares at him with murderous eyes..and turns to leave the spot as well.
Dutta ~Naku
Long live Dutta Bhau! slogans resounds in the temple courtyard area. Dutta looks to his people's gusto. Naku suddenly spots Supriya's figure dressed in a red sari creep in from the side of the temple and join the crowd. Saab! .. she points , look there's Tai . Dutta and Baji both look down from the top, and find her surrounded by shouting people looking displaced and lost.
Dutta moves forward, and Naku afterthought follows him and Baji slowly. Ravi moves in to watch from behind the gap in the temple pillars. Dutta 's feet turn and he gravitates his body and his head looms just under the pinnacle of the Shiv temple. long live Dutta Bhau! shouts the crowd as he looks down upon them from the great height of the temple steps. He looks at all sections of the crowd and smiles as he raises both his arms in the span of an eagles wing. Joins his palms slightly above his head and moves them slowly to all.. below. Then slowly with the sun behind his head the shadow of this bent arms , clasped hands raised above his head appears.. like a falcon in flight against the bluish grey skies. He lowers his arms and raises one hand in greeting to his people... and the outline of his palm rests upon the crowd below. Slowly he lowers his arm and stands before his people both bare arms by his side. Baji looks down at the crowd with pride. Dutta looks at a lost Supriya from the top of the steps and turns his head behind ,and says to Naku , come.. Naku pulls a worried face, not wanting to go with him. She presses her hands held against her belly and her dark toes move back.. as she wants him to go ahead without her.
He takes a step forward , then stops and turns his head behind and looks at her still figure. She lowers her eyes, and with his head still turned back he waits.. and then reaches out firmly for her arm just above the wrist.. with a gentle word., don't be scared, and tugs her along as he slowly descends the steps , regally like a king.. his face sober and set.. Naku follows the descent mutely with him, his palm firmly upon her above her wrist. Baji looks toward's Bhau and Naku and smiles. Ravi, from between the pillars, looks on at Supriya at the back of the crowd with worry.
Dutta and Naku continue to come down the steps like... Mahadev and Parvati themselves.. so it seems destined..
Dutta reaches the flat ground of the temple and both him and his people approach each other. He walks through women who bow before him , touch him bless him.. and he bows his head to people in silence.. but Naku is still held by him by his side. Ravi wipes his brow as he watches Dutta followed by his BGs cutting through the crowd, his arm curved. People part and give way to him as he holds Naku by the arm and walks ahead... his walk ends when he sees the shrivelled to the side figure of Supriya. He moves ahead very slowly towards her... Naku still with him..but then he lets go of Naku 's arm when he stands before Supriya .He stares across at Supriya with narrow lion like eyes, as he moves closer to Supriya. Naku looks at the arm he held and then looks ahead resigned at Supriya.
Dutta waves to the wall of cheering people to his side. He looks down at a quiet Supriya with hooded eyes, and with a smile on his lips he asks her, what happened?..she looks up at him sheepishly avoiding his piercing eyes. .. where did you go? she looks the other way at a much worried Ravi..then looks up him shyly. He holds his head high and asks, are you scared? She doesn't reply . he offers his palm to her, and waits, so does Naku as she watches. Supriya as usual dithers, and looks to her director Ravi , who nods a go ahead to her.. and she places her palm in his, and he holds it firmly and assures her , don't be scared, these are my own people.. lovely scene, as Dutta stands surrounded by his people, with Naku behind him and Supriya before him..
Supriya gives a forced smile while Baji smiles for real. Don't worry ..says Dutta to her and pulls her forward by the shoulder and brings her close to his chest. Naku watches along with everyone else , but she sighs and lowers her eyes, then sides her face with a small smile. Baji smiles at the sight. Ravi it seems breathes a sigh of relief . Dutta stands very content with Supriya pressed against his chest in his embrace. But Naku looks up at the couple again with desire in her eyes... episode ends.. Hamlet53~ 3.12.13.

Kala continues to big up Dutta's power and might. Although on the outside, it appears that she is telling the couple some home truths about the security systems around her Bhau. But I am beginning to wonder, if in actuality she is laughing at her brother's inability to spot the difference between true and false..
In all her scenes with Supriya and Ravi she literally snarls at both of them, her eyes flashing! her mouth hissing poisonousness, phrases and sentence all aimed to bite , sting and leave an impact on them, her captives.
It was good to see the withdrawn, lack lustre Naku. To me in all the scenes with Dutta she has an almost endearing sulk on her face, that which one has when one has fallen out with someone close. Dutta on the other hand, to me seems to show some affection toward's her the manner in which he calls her to come to him with a curve of his palm as one calls a child.. he feels a sense of protectiveness towards her..hence his insistence of taking her down with him.
Dutta's descent down the steps makes me think how it means various things to me, one would be when puja finishes, that's what devotees would do leave the temple. Two, Dutta has spotted Supriya and is coming to her side. Last but not the least, guiding and protecting a seemingly frightened Naku.. from the noisy crowd...perhaps fulfilling an unseen destiny by coming down together the steps of Shiv temple as a couple. While the first two are set in the present, the last one is Dutta and Naku 's destiny .. the gods have willed their union, come what may..
