Evil Restless V Restive Good

hello friends my thoughts on this episode, a fantastic focus on the use of hands and toes!

Evil is restless, chaotic, turbulent, destructive, subversive , treacherous ,conniving ,consuming, devious, powerful till the very end ...

Sudarshan's traits of being a turncoat , an incurable opportunist, and a hopeless sheep was yet exposed by Chaskar's perception of him... as for Kala she has already, tried ,tested and experienced his participation in her plan... so much so that at one point she almost washed her hands off him making it know to him that he was free...

The scene with Kala and Suds at Dutta's bar was of particular interest to me ,or should I say that the manner in which Kala gazed at him baffled me a bit... was she scoffing him? scorning him ?or seducing him?...please elucidate later if you want to ...

Thus despite her drinking, Kala was brimming with turmoil ,empty of peace ,her mind as always was constantly in a spin, plotting, hatching, counter combat strategies against her enemy... Chaskar also as usual, appeared restless, riding on the wave of evil...Sudarshan remained increasingly plagued by his part in this evil game...

Goodness on the other hand is tranquil, calm, fulfilling, complete, harmonious and healing...

Firstly the endearing scene between Mahadev kaka and Dutta ,which tied in beautifully with Naku's words about Bappa " I'eve always thought of you as my friend"...surely one's personal seen or unseen diety, can be thier private friend and confidant... Mahadev embracing Dutta was seen as a deity reassure a vulnerable human... Dutta's use of replica Baji words " if needs be I would lay down my life for a my friend" alarmed me a little ,but I calmed myself by saying that perhaps in Dutta's Dhanda this is what one is likely to say to a true friend to cement a relationship...

And finally comes the Tasha scene based on the sense of touch...special in every respect..empty of lust, filled with tenderness, care but to me purpose orientated...The purpose was to bring healing to each other by applying herbal paste on eyes and feet...

The complete was a serene move towards a private physical contact between the two, triggered effortlessly and spontaneously by the need of circumstances... thus making it easier for the shy Dutta and the equally withheld Naku... to touch...to heal... reminded me a bit of Romeo and Juliet's words " palm to palm ,holy palmers kiss"...

The highlight of the scene was of course, Dutta's bold display of the unconventional act wherein the husband touches his wife's feet ... feet that form the lowest part of the human anatomy , feet, that are lowly for they touch the ground...yet feet have power for they carry the complete frame of the living species within the law of gravity!!!

By the tender touch Dutta not only fulfilled but extended this tradition to the next level of humility that the husband has for his wife...for where there is humility, there is no ego, and where there is no ego the I becomes we... and the we becomes I in oneness... ultimately...

Finally, the scene of the sober Dutta... contently smiling and being fed by his wife ...utter bliss

to watch... signifying, that although within the natural cycle of process , the male is instinctively the provider, predator and protector...however the male is still born of the female, therefore the male has within him the desire to be nurtured by the female species... That's our Naku and Dutta for you... the two hard to forget protagonists of a story called LTL...

So goodness is complete and binding... whereas evil is incomplete and forever fighting to reach completeness...

LTL 1.. forever MISHAL AS DUTTA

nice scene will comment baad main😃
ok hammie i'm here apki brilliant wriing kay agay kiya add karoon 😕 mahadev and dutta when thy met dutta was so untrusty of him he grabbed him by the neck and threaten to kill him, but soon as he let him speak and realised he being associated with jagtap dada and how fondly talking of dada he put his trust in him and became friends, later he did lay his life for him, so good returned by a good deed and evil replied by evil when chasker and fattoo killled by dutta.
coming to nakku and dutta scene is husband and wife sharing the intimacy with touching and healing each others pain , u can't do enough for people u care about when love is involved u suffer along with the other it can b any relationship or friendship u want to lessen the pain the uncomfort the other is suffering. nakku had dutta on a high pedastal from the start giving him almost a deity status, also the status of a husband is very high in hinduism and islam after god , for her it was unthinkable that he should touch her feet of all anatomy, the most humbling position to have, but he assured her lovingly " ek patni jo apnay pati ke liyay itnay din bhooki piyasi sadkon pe milon chal ker ussay dhoondti hai itni takleefain sehti hai , main itna bhi nahi kar sakta" she had humbled him with her love.they were enacting their marriage vow of...in sickness and in health ,for richer for poorer, for beter for worse, but more than anything it was love where do dil ek jaan, means her pain is his pain and vice versa.
thank u for a grat clip. uppar jo duttta ko quote kiya hai it's from memory only so pardon me for not quoting word by word . u know my problem of still not watching old clips.😒

res

Hammie, i know u had given up on my return hence the like button on my res. post 😉😛

Agree with the description of contradicting natures of Good n Evil, but i wonder is it always that black n white, isnt there the evident shades of grey in between the extremes. To me no person can be wholly Evil or totally good. Dutta was no angel himself nor naku even though she could be rated far better than dutta in many ways.

But kala can be one exception, cause she was evility at its worst.😡 When she didnt spare her own mother, nothing much could be expected from the woman. But sudarshan i thought was the most dangerous as he was impersonfication of treachery.

Coming to the endearing meeting of dutta n mahadev, it was a bond of trust n necessity. After a long gap there was an air of positivity around dutta n ofcourse it had to be the jungle. Necessity for dutta and mahadev trusted him as he saw him to be a man worthy of his friendship n his innate kindness goaded him to help the couple in exile. It is ironical the [so called] tragic king Dutta was factually lucky throughout his life not highlighted thou. 😛 He was adopted by AS when abondoned, had a trusted lieutenant in Baji, married angelic naku, supported at times of extreme adversity by jagtap n the likes of mahadev ...

Yeah, the most beautifully picturised scene of married dutta n naku has to be this 👏 It was very intelligently portrayed without over dramatising or unduly stressing with words. Just the one act of dutta smearing herbal paste onto naku's feet was sufficient to show that a husband howsoever powerful wil not fall from grace by takin care of his wife. They as you beautifully put it hammie wil achieve oneness which is what a perfect marriage would be harmony of minds n body. Ofcourse hammie you put it more beautifully than i can ever think of. For dutta this came naturaly as he never believed in the difference of class or gender. To him there was only one difference and that is honest n dishonest lol.. Thank you hammie for the oldie goldie thread.

Hiya Hammie...me finally found my way into this thread...blame warda she took off with my private jet I can't even remember what color it is, I had to take a long walk in here...that should explain the delay :P

Clip 1 ~ What's in a name...

Very apt title hammie and brilliantly explored. This scene was one of the cutest the way he casually approaches it and the way she gets all shy. The title itself is enough said about this particular scene. What's in a name? The name Naku gave Dutta...Saab signified much in their relationship much the same when he tells her her full name Nakusha Dutta Patil...that signified who she is in his life...which is his wife :) very well done hammie...love reading your thoughts it's always unique...

Clip 2 ~ As flies to wanton boys...

Another well explored scene. Dutta's lack of faith /belief in higher powers merely came as a result of his own experience. For Dutta he went through a lot and with each bad thing that happened he slipped further from the idea there is such thing as god, faith, miracles because frankly if they existed they weren't doing anything to help. It became non existent in his eyes because there was nothing to prove him otherwise. I think it partially has to do with what you expect from this higher power. Life is not perfect but if that's what one wants they'll be disappointed more often, there are challenges you'll face but taking gods hand to help overcome them may allow you to have more faith like Naku had. It's not as if her life was any better of an experience than Dutta yet their perspective differed and each had their own reasons for that...anyway interesting scene. Loved reading it and watching the clip too...ohhh i miss them I really do!

Clip 3 ~ Dutta's Dichotomy...

A clip where decisions are tough. One side he has a sister whom he thought loved him who wants him dead and the other side he has the love of his life wanting him to forgive and forget. Dilemmas. As many have mentioned, Dutta's always had issues with forgiving and forgetting because he doesn't expect a lot of the deception he's faced and when it happens he feels its not something to be forgotten, not when it was the other persons fauly entirely. Then there's Naku who thinks about the others who will be affected by decisions made in haste. Yes people deserve their punishment but not one that will come back and strike in another form...its interesting to see these two with their different perspectives kind of work together this time...esp in this scene where he sees Naku's view completely and very appreciative about it...great piece of written work...enjoyed the read along with the clip :)

Clip 4 ~ Evil Restless vs. Restive Good

Hammie of all the clips and written pieces this has to be my favorite. You've written it so brilliantly!! I just loved the comparisons and thoughts you have about the little things in this scene. The significance of the touch and heal...lovely words...I don't think I can say much more. You've said it all! One very special scene indeed...there was so much in it! I have to say its been a long while since I've seen this scene...that music and the two of them...gosh it had clutched my heart...i miss them ! :'( great work hammie ...keep it up! look forward to more...

hi hammiee
amazing writing & clips .will be back soon😊
like always loved reading it ,lot is said abt dutta & kala ,suds in the clip epitome of foolishness & deceived dutta coz of jealousy for baji ,his joining hands with kala was nothing but stupidity ,for suds it can be said
Everyone is entitled to be stupid ,but some abuse the privilege
kala had hatred for dutta as a child later on she disguised her hunger for power as revenage for her fathers killer ,
whatever is begun in anger ends in shame
baji was an orphan & he found the love which he was deprived of in dutta ,dutta for him everything brother & friend a fly
True friendship comes when silence between two people is comfortable
one of my fav scene dutta attending nakus wound & sharing food 😊hammiee you made me nostalgic, naku taught dutta to luv in true sense coz her luv was unconditional unlike his fly
Marriage is three parts love & seven parts of forgiveness
as always hammiee u r amazing 😊

wow well said hammie ..the scene was indeed sweet and spl ..liked nakku's innocence where she asks," kuch dikha raha hai ..main dikh rahi hoon/" and he replies that he doesn't need eyes to see her ..how true and endearing ..then his touching her feet was surprising for her and something which is hard to digest in our male dominated society but it brought out the beauty of their relationship that he treated her as an equal ..he respected the pain that she went through because of him and wished to heal her just the way she was trying to..both could feel each others pain..that's what true love is where you are not taken for granted and then later on i enjoyed watching his expressions ..there was a hint of naughtiness in his eyes while he was feeding her .so cute

thanks hammie for coming up with another wonderful scene and description

Thanks for your thoughts daya. So faith which can bea belief in the unseen, a conviction, a positive strength of one's own self.. is what Naku had due to her spiritual beliefs, but Dutta falls short of , as he apart of lacking a firm faith leaning, seems to be also struggling to grapple another way of looking at hings that one controls one's own destiny too.

He applies this to every thing ,bar his family.. may be this hardline policy mars his sense of judgement.. where one is likely to check pros and cons and in the best of interests practice forgiveness.
