Painful Rapture ~ Chapter 71

Hammie, a wonderfully written chapter with lots happening. Dutta's still coming to terms with his becoming a father but at least he's started to learn the details and interesting to note he's also noticing more and more expectant mothers around. I'd say that's because it's the only thing on his mind and it's something that leaves him a little clueless...

Jane was...well can't say she didn't add some drama to the trip, but she's quite shameless if you ask me. Despite the fact that she knows Dutta's married and a devoted, faithful husband she still attempted and hoped for a chance with him...good god...the woman seemed desparate...am glad he showed her who's boss... and pointed her to her place...she asked for it...really...but Dutta also showed his good heart when he talked with her afterward...

Now I was surprised with the turn of events at Naku's workplace. The stress of the incident resulting in a threatened pregnancy was an interesting touch. It gives you ample of opportunity to test Major Dutta's control. Of course, naturally, Dutta reacted with some light chiding...questioning her ability to take care of herself...but we all know it was because he loves her a lot...good to have him back in person with his love...waiting to see how this threatened pregnancy affects the lot...

Painful Rapture ~ Chapter 72

Another great update. Never cease to amaze me. Enjoyed the banter between two friends in the beginning...Dutta and Baaji are certainly an amusing pair...Loved that Kala took it upon herself, ignoring the awkwardness of the topic, to approach Dutta and make sure he understood how this threatened pregnancy means partially eliminating complete intimacy between the couple. Of course, Dutta being hungry for her doesn't help but I trust he'll find his way through it..he's a Soldier! Army Officer...he can find self control :P

Dutta now in the role of working while Naku kicks up her feet, lays back, and enjoys the royal treatment...it's rather amusing...after being so used to her doing all the work and him ordering it or just expecting her to do it...now its all flipped.

Had to laugh at the bit on their way home from the hospital..her feeling sick, Dutta ordering Baaji to get the lemon and Baaji getting it but lying about why...well can't blame the man...he's being sent on the oddest errands really...now Dutta will slowly begin to experience what it's like to be an the pregnant woman's husband...hope he's ready for all the demands, emotions, cravings...

The family moment was great. Him filling them in on the happenings...what he was offered, why he declined and the promotion...all wonderful news to his family...

Oh the Dutta-Naku scene about food reminded me of LTL1...the JMM2 sequence...except here we were graced with Baaji's prescene...who needs to climb trees when Baaji will bring you what you need when you think it...barging in and giving the food...any excuse to be around...doesn't he get the message when he's being pushed out the door? I think he needs to get married and be tied down...anyway after everyone finally leaves them alone...he gets to what he's been dying to do..which is kiss her only until Kala's words make him end abruptly...I guess it was a good thing...all they need is a kiss to end somewhere where they shouldn't go under the current condition...

Anyway let's see where this condition takes the two of them...

Painful Rapture ~ Chapter 73

Great Update Hammie. Dutta's turned into a great caretaker...doing a marvelous job with ensuring his wife's and baby's welfare...though his uhmm yelling orders could use some mellowing but regardless he's at least on top of his family's health...

Loved that there's good dynamics between this couple...him relaying that he must report to HQ and her asking his opinion about working and both sort of coming to a compromise about the situation...each has the others' best interest and unconditional support...its wonderful to see...

So Major Dutta back to work and that too with teaching again the next batch of lieutenants...and of course who else but Khan ends up crossing paths with him...loved how she's still herself...sort of fearless of speaking her mind and asking what she feels like even if it may not be correct or appropriate...though khan's one of his best students it seems he's irritated with her...can't blame him though really...she sort of puts herself out there...

Interesting that Khan's married...and there's issues...because it seemed the guy had no problem with her before and now her status threatens his ego? Ridiculous yet interesting addition to the story...

So the man responsible for Naku's condition and Dutta's testing his self-control presents himself at PN...of course I expected a lot worst for the man but Dutta being the man he is...let him walk out...loved how Dutta handles it...and have to add Baaji's anger was rather adorable to watch and see just how much he adores Naku...

Oh the bit at the end where he goes to massage her feet I simply pictured the LTL1 scene in the JMM2 track...with the red saree...gosh I miss them so much...damn show! Love how you adjusted it to fit the part in your UD

God this Naku and her bloody sickness comes when he's about to taste her lips...i wonder is it the pregnancy or what he'll do that sickens her lol...

Anyway...Great work! It's always a pleasure to read your work...keep writing...!

Loved the update hammie...what a sight to see tasha together...and specially when naku needs the most ...and dutta is a perfect husband the way he is taking care of naku ..not even letting her budge from the place...for a second i thought when she was leaving she is going to make sandwiches fr him ..ohh and he is maintaining the distance well too haha so sweet was never so fatal...very apt title.looking for a title is usually a chore,as I tend to use Shakespeare.

thats great dutta will be back on his duty..the same familiar uniform he is going to wear again... but what surprised me was khan too there...didnt expect that at all..she is too excited to see his tutor there again...and with her asking those questions ...few things never change😆 haan Khani ,the bane of his life is back on the scene,for obvious reasons

loved the family moment together in AS's room..

baji and his constant nonsense tends to keep the spirit lighter in PN,as were in Dutta's hands the atmosphere would be dull and boring!

Sad to hear about khan's marital life ..thats a pity when a man cannot accept his wife more successful than him in career...on the other hand dutta shows such a contrast ...who wants naku to have ann individual status of her own...with the difference in khans and nakus life i can just say few people are lucky and few are not😔thanks Warrie you picked on an apt comparison. But people do have to work on their marriage ,and not leave things to perchance..

but the good thing is dutta is going to look into the matter...im sure he'll come up with a solution like he resolved her earlier home affair.dekho kiya kerta hai, mental health welfare is something he takes seriously ,especially as it is work prompted.

ohh glad to know naku is given all clear by the doctors..and straight awau those sandwiches demandd..haha ...i can bet naku must be most delighted to hear she can work in kitchen now...ohhh the only thing is dutta cant carry him every where around.. the aim is to get back to normalcy as soon as it is possible.. best for both ,and for the rest of the family,keeps morale high.

and even that culprit too caught ...this solution i liked the most that he will have to pay for whatever he did and AS will look after the family ..very just decision.

oh yes this scene was in keeping with he tradition ,that people were allowed to come to PN when in a problem. Dutta being a gracious and just man did what he deemed fit , without actually tarnishing his army reputation as well

it reminded of ltl where dutta was trying to touch her feet and naku reluctant..

ohh and most important question is there any connection betwwen a kiss and naku feeling sick😆.. she is sensible warrie ,as with him one thing leads to another ,andthings are likely to end in a ay that could presently prove detrimental to Naku's condition.

How does major come to terms with a beautiful minx only there to be ogled n not to be touched 😉 I shudder at the long wait he has to endure to get close to his wife, 9mths seems eternity. Naku must be featherlite that he is carrying her ever so frequently, what spectacle they make, naku is thoroughly enjoying the cosy time in his arms.. 😃 in normal times such a rarity for him to PDA. To me she looks an invalid more than an expecting mother lol.. now now dont be jealous bartee..

It was a trip down memory lane kinda feelin when major entered the precints of the Academy, miss those days.. Aaww, love this part, thanks hammie.. major like dutta has no barriers when it comes to caring n he goes all the way, jo bhi karta hai passion se karega love or hate 😉 Even thou naku,s upbringing puts her in a discomforting situation when major feels her feet, its endearing to see husbands shed ingrained chauvinistic attitudes, which otherwise continues to hold sway in our cultures.. to me its one of the purest form of expressions of one,s love... 'Ardhangini' ka matlab jante ho? dutta had asked in LTL, hmm.. How i wish to see a day when women in our society are considered as humans with a mind of their own, not mere objects of pleasure, servitude, or procreating machines 😒 people#!! read wot bart has commented..

true say.. are we getting there , the question is to hang on to some bringing together traditions.. and perhaps give less credence to those tradtions that create distance a man and his wife..
