Aahhh, I loved this scene. So beautifully written and deeply enacted. The spilled sindoor on the ground...the empty dresser...that nuance of Dutta being so in thought within himself that when Nakku calls out, he responds instinctively...'Hmm?'...shaken out of reverie. And when his eyes look up a moment after he has already 'responded' so instinctively and he sees the very object of his contemplation standing as serene and calm as ever...😊

What Dutta was going through? I think he had realized by this time in his heart of hearts, after the dhongi pandit incident, that Nakku was innocent...I think it dawned on him at some subconscious level that this girl who was so purely and devotedly sincere to him in all her actions could not have done what she was accused of and what he had punished her for. That is why he has that flashback of the shaadi...and he thinks 'kameena waqt tha, ya main andha tha?'...because he made a mistake...whether due to the situation that was created or due to his own biases, issues, and misgivings? He doesn't know. But he is reflecting on the choice he made to hold her culprit and the contrasting reality of that...'na tu samajh aayi'...he failed to understand her...and most of all even though there really was no solid or physical evidence to prove her goodness, and yet still he has come to believe it? Isliye na samajh aaya yeh dil...which knows she is innocent even without having any proof to counter the entire Supriya and Ravi debacle...which has let her off the hook even without any evidence...which wants to understand her and is let down at not being able to. And I think...na samajh aaya yeh dil isliye bhi...because it has become constricted itself in irony after having set her 'free'...all of these things that he is feeling and thinking of...the fact that they are occurring to him at a juncture when she about to leave him...it speaks for the emotion in his heart that he holds for her...the distinct presence that she has had in his life...which is at stake and loss...so he feels hollow, unsettled, fettered in these thoughts...but he doesn't know why...na samajh aaya yeh dil...

But still he decides to drive her and her family to their destination based on his gut, on what his instincts lead him on to do on a subconscious level...and it's during that journey that he is able to overcome his anger, hurt, ego, prejudices by a way of events...everything, to realize and accept truly on a concious level that she is special to him...

Love this scene..Dutta's bechainee, confusion, helplessness brought out superbly by Mishal.

@kabeeraspeaking: Word...you have said it all and so beautifully.

My Questions: Did Dutta understand the calling of his dil by now...that love was stirring in his heart.?
