A saga called Laagi tujhse lagan ended on 28th march 2011. Still we are here! some silently, some occationally, some unwillingly. Still we are here! That set me thinking; we must have seen many serials why arent we able to let go this one. How we ended up here and why do we still love it so much...

so i sat down and started writing(allright typing😊)..

My story behind story called Laagi tujhse lagan..

How did i ended up watching it..

Why did i ended up living it...

How: when i read about the show of a beautiful girl hiding behind the mask of ugliness fearing the world; i was curious.then i saw the episode. naku has to scare a kid to drink milk.donno about the kid I was scared. How could they do this to a beautiful girl. she is positvely hideous! i was watching it but was not a loyal viewer.Then came Mishal..😍!!

but i reached my point of no return after that beautiful, classic, subtle, romantic Jungle track. i was in love completely.

Why: why am i still not able to let go of this saga. it is over. been over for long.why my love for it sooo total.

maybe because it reminded me of a fairy tale i grew up on.

fairy tales have one fair maiden and her prince. tall, handsome, winsome and charming..

then there was a fairy tale were a fair maiden was there; but the prince was not handsome. he was hideous... not charming.. he was hurt vulnerable but hid it behind his scary appearance..

the maiden was beauty and her prince was the beast and the story went on something like this:

She came in his life.

They became friends.

They fell in love.

She gave his heart her heartbeats!!.

Braving test of times, trials of life and standing up against people intent on seperating them they won. Together!!.

And they lived Happily

that was the story of the beauty and the beast that i loved. years later the same story was retold..

there was a a fair maiden who had to hide her beauty. then came her prince her protector who handsome. but .. he was hurt vulnerable but hid it behind his anger... one who trusted blindly, loved unconditionally, when betrayed; hurts the one who loved him but ends up hurting himself more... she came, she conquered him with her love and in return got her prince back; one who would go to hell and back for her..

their story went on something like this..

They fell in love.

She gave his heart her heartbeats!!.

i request you to kindly share your story behind the story of our LTL.

how u ended up watching it..

and why you loved it the way u did..

lets this be a tribute to the saga which gave us so many beautiful moments to feel, dream and live on...

Wow, what a wonderful writeup and compilation, Nimmi 👏! And nice idea, Lekha 👍🏼.

I loved the way you compared and wrote about the 2 eternal fairy tales, one - Beauty and the Beast, and second, LTL 👍🏼. And putting up the snapshots of BATB and LTL added to the impact 😳. Yes, there is a huge similarity between both the stories, and both had the ability to touch ones heart and soul. Both carried the same message - how beauty and love is not connected with external appearance, but with internal traits. Love sees beyond superficiality.

Actually just when LTL started, there was an article comparing it with Beauty and the Beast. It was an unusually good article about the show, where from one perspective, Dutta was considered the "beast"(mainly due to his profession of killing people, and his internal and external darkness), whereby Nakusha was considered the "beauty" as she was a beautiful human being. Then other obvious perspective was where Dutta was considered the "beauty" (obviously due to his good looks), and Nakku the "beast" due to her ugly appearance.

Your writeup brought back both the nostalgic stories, thanks a lot 😳. And thanks for making my VM a part of your wonderful writeup 😳.

Fabulously written nimmi_rra. 👏 I agree with you.

Just yesterday I was watching the song "tale as old as time." Among all the fairytales beauty and the beast has been my all time favorite. 👏

There is one scene where dutta asks naku - tu ne mujh mein aisa kya dekha? sigh this guy just feels nobody can ever love him. 😔 Just like the prologue the beast lost all hope for who could ever learn to love a beast *sigh*

You mentioned everything that has to be mentioned about both the couples so I'll mention the other characters in these stories.

I always thought of the clock and candelabra as being Baji and then one scene of baji and madhu made them clock and candelabra for me. 😆 🤣I mean the clock and candle just were so fabulous they use to cheer the beast that yes you can make her fall in love with you. So some pics.

Clock and candelabra all happy seeing the beast happy dancing with belle and then both of them giving him thumbs up 👍🏼

Madhu and baji so happy and totally ready to give each other a high five on seeing dutta being calm. 👏

Baji extremely happy to see his best friend finally getting married.
