Chapter 18 NTL
Hi Hammie! now imma get straight to this wonderful comment of yours 😆
Many pardons for a delayed response yet again...I guess some-things never change with me..any way to the UD now...the celebrations ,the song and dance was good fun...the rest well the pair still mulling it over in their minds, testing the waters only before taking the plunge ,I agree with their emotions no one wants to perchance drown, they are sensible the pair of them ,and no one is throwing them in the deep end ..so good sense to be cautious...that's my opinion!
Glad to hear you enjoyed that songs and dances ...yes the pair of them still not sure of anything...for each they have a reason...so yes more of a precaution to avoid the drowning that may happen from taking that plunge...well said hammie!
Now I know I was desperate for Naku to come back, but she sure does wind me up this time..what is going in that mind of hers ? does she want him to recollect moments spent with her the night before or not?.I think she needs to stop playing silly games with herself, quit bringing up things like he is beyond her reach due to his status! And after all why does she get in a flurry upon hearing anti Saab talk? Surely it should not matter too much to her, after all she's just a friend , and more so how long have they been friends for?
that is something she can't help...her little mind only thinks best for him is for her to stay away as she is not comparable to others...thats her minds thought...waise don't worry that thought will be eventually set straight :P friendship happens in a small time span too u know ...u just click 😆 😛
Lovely scene Daya, Dutta having FBs of all his previous meetings with Naku, great idea! once again the ginger tea scene was beautifully expressed in dialogue and characterisation of the two, although I feel at times she lectures him a bit more than is necessary, but am reminded that she has also initially taken up the role of being a reformer on the behest of his family, along with that of being a friend and possibly a lover...
good to know u liked that bit...yes the tea scene i remember...the dialoguing not so much haha but i take ur word for it...so it was well penned ? why thank you :P
Regarding her musing about her original complexion at Sachin's residence, I always saw that even in LTL1 a weakness in her character, even though she used it as a defence mechanism, however in this scenario the cover up and posing in appearance what she is not , I feel she is hoodwinking the Patil household, but will tell, till as she muses, the right time approaches, who knows?..her only saving grace is that the young master of the manor knows about it ,thanks to the beach scene!
well the initiation of the topic will now be surfacing on its own 😉
yes him knowing definitely her saving grace haa but no worries that will all be off soon ...
Enjoyed the glitter and dressing up description of the family , certainly creates a festive mood, beautifully written Daya. Also enjoyed the scene where Dutta takes a peek at Naku as she arrives for the event with her family, the whole scene was enjoyable to read, their silence in their body language yet family members who loved them both could hear that something was amiss..
oh glad you liked that bit...u know i had to keep that rep of his u know the one baaji pointed out...Dutta's eyes always find Naku 😆
Loved the song and dance numbers , very well written Daya, brought out the festivity of the engagement party.
Good to hear...that was the part i was worried about as its more difficult to pen such thoughts...
The highlight for me was the last portion, for it so much highlight's his persona...his distrust in the word love!...yet alongside we have his self questionings about why is he irked by seeing her near Sachin's cousin ,Varun?... well let's hope the mighty Dutta can find the answer to this niggling question!... so in the next UD hopefully he has some answers ... please continue writing your lovely FF.. NTL
Thanks once again Daya, papayaa for a lovely UD , and apologies for the late comment.. xxhammie
thank you hammie for the comments ...love reading them always ...glad to see you enjoyed it...regardless of the child like behaviors of the pair :P ...chal see you when I do...take care...love you lots...
